Background: Trust is a key component for the good relationship between patients and healthcare professionals but trust for community pharmacists has not been studied much. Objectives: This study aimed to measure public trust in community pharmacists and to investigate variables that affect trust level in South Korea. Methods: A total of 25 questions, including 13-items for three dimensions of trust (pharmacists' behavior/attitude, technical competence, communication skills) and 1-item for overall trust were developed. The survey was conducted online and the data from 416 respondents were analyzed with a t-test, an ANOVA and a multiple linear regression analysis. Results: The average scores (mean ± standard deviation) for the three dimensions of trust in community pharmacists were 3.47±1.05 (out of 5 points) for pharmacists' behavior/attitude, 3.67 ± 0.99 for technical competence, and 3.66±0.99 for communication skills. The average of the 13 items incorporating all parameters was 3.56±1.02 and the overall trust level was 7.16±1.62 (out of 10 points). The total sum of the 13 items differed significantly by age group (p=0.02) and frequency of pharmacy visits (p=0.04). Each dimension had an independent impact on the trust level, and pharmacists' behavior/attitude had the greatest impact on trust levels. Conclusions: This study showed that pharmacists' behavior/attitude had the most significant impact on the trust level. However, the level of trust in pharmacists' behavior/attitude is not yet sufficiently satisfactory, and further improvements are required to increase trust in community pharmacists.
The involvement of health-care professionals in tobacco-control activities is essential to prevent smoking-related morbidity and mortality. The purposes of this predictive correlational study were to examine tobacco-control activities and to identify the predictors of such activities of community health practitioners (CHPs). Of the 1,813 members of the Korean Association of CHP, 1,247 participated in this study. A mailed survey was conducted to collect data. The majority of CHPs supported tobacco-control policies and recognized tobacco-control activities as an important role for them. Only $44.3\%$ of CHPs were confident in their knowledge and skills regarding tobacco-control activities, and only $30.8\%$ had received professional tobacco-control education. While the majority of the CHPs 'asked, advised, and assessed' their clients, only a small number 'assisted or arranged'. The tobacco-control activities of CHPs were predicted by their attitude toward it, age, experience of tobacco-control education, educational level, and general perception of the risk of smoking; these variables accounted $13.5\%$ of variance in the tobacco-control activities of CHPs. These findings provide the basis for developing a continuing education program for CHPs. CHPs should be encouraged to integrate tobacco-control activities into their routine practice, and CHP education programs should be adjusted to increase the time spent on the tobacco-control intervention techniques.
This study has investigated the stream of consciousness and the actual conditions of tattoo. A survey of 466 people has found that female prefer tattoo, and a group of age between 21 and 41 and professionals are more interested in it. Both past and present of attitude consciousness about tattoo understand it dynamic and severe. However, it is considered as a feminine these days, whereas it had been understood as a masculine image in the past, which means a decrease of symbolism by gender. Also, in comparison with the past, the current thoughts on tattoo are getting hopeful and affirmative that we could know the attitude about tattoo changes. A survey of 106 tattooists shows that most people get a temporary tattoo, and permanent, semi-permanent tattoo came next. The most preferred area were eyebrows, are, shoulder, forearm, back of hand and waist, and a main reason of getting tattoo were for beauty and ostentation. For the level of satisfaction, 70.7% of the people polled said they were satisfied with it, and male preferred a pattern of animal, geometric and plant while female preferred a pattern of plant, animal, and geometric in order. So far, by the lack of basic information and data, efficiency value of tattoo is in negative view. Thus, it would be required to enhance a level of understanding tattoo focusing on the positive side like a new life style, sense of value, sensation and emotion of contemporary people, and generalize it by providing various technical information and knowledge of beauty image effect accompanied with tattoo.

Objective: To study the attitudes and awareness of healthcare professionals (physicians, pharmacists, nurses and others) toward the Pharmacovigilance system and experience for adverse drug reactions (ADRs) from a Single University Hospital in Deajeon. Methods: A survey was performed using a structured questionnaire involving 360 health-care professionals at the hospital between $1^{st}$ November and $16^{th}$ November, 2012. Results: Sixty-five percent (n=235) of all respondents were experienced incidences of ADRs for their patients and 55.8% (n=201) knew the ADR Spontaneous Reporting System in the hospital. However, three-fourths (n=273, 75.8%) of respondents did not know the existence of the Korean Association of Regional Pharmacovigilance Centers (KARP) and 61.7% (n=222) were unaware of the obligation of ADR report from KFDA in cases of serious ADRs. About 83% (n=299) answered that the electronic ADR report system of the hospital was helpful while their work and most (n=336, 93.3%) agreed on the necessaries of the promotion and education about ADR. Conclusion: Seventy-five percent (n=271) of respondents wanted to continue the work for evaluation and feedback for ADRs reported in the hospital. However, the barriers to reporting ADR were; inconvenient ADR reporting system and the lack of time to report ADRs. This study showed that the easier ADR reporting system and education and promotion about ADRs for health-care providers are needed to improve the ADR reporting.
Health perception is a very important issue for student nurses to be future health professionals. The concept of health has changed with the emphasis of 'health promotion', and thus nurses now have a demanded role as a health promoter. According to health promotion theories, health-promoting behaviors are affected by cognitive variables, and human behaviors are related to thoughts and perception. This study was conducted to recognize the relationships of attitude toward health behaviors to other health related variables. The data was collected using a self administered survey. The instrument used in this study was attitude of health behavior scales that were developed by Okayama medical school. The subjects were 512 student nurses recruited from 1 college and 3 universities. The data was analyzed using SPSS pc program with mean, correlation. and multiple regression technique. The results were as follows: 1. The mean score of attitude of health behaviors of the student nurses was 8.11, showing a relatively high level. A high score of health belief was reported in 'self-responsible type' with the score of 4.80, and a high score of 'think for health or disease' was reported in passive type with the score of 3.12. 2. Specifically, there were significant positive correlations between the level of 'attitude of health behaviors' and other health related variables such as health perception, think for health or disease, and age. 3. Stepwise multiple regression analysis revealed that active thought, leisure, self-responsible perception and depression accounted for 13%of variance of attitude toward health behaviors. In conclusion, although student nurses certainly perceived the performance of health behavior, they need to learn in more systematical way in order to be a better health promoter, one of the role of nurses. The results of the study suggest that further studies need to be done on attitude toward health behaviors and performance of health behavior by student nurses.
Hotel practitioners are searching for leadership typology to maximize employees' capabilities and consistency in their attitude. Also, they are increasingly interested in their employees' traits which constitute and influence their job attitude. This study sought to investigate the impact of servant leadership mediated through self-leadership on employees' job attitude. Focused on hotel restaurant employees, representing 15 hotels in Seoul Metropolitan Area, a survey was conducted and 272 respondents out of 297 were empirically analyzed. The collected data was analyzed with the SPSS 12.0 for Windows and AMOS software program. Structural equation modeling was conducted to test the hypotheses. The results suggested that servant leadership has a significant impact on self-leadership. Furthermore, self-leadership was found to have a significant impact on job satisfaction. However, direct influence of self-leadership on organizational commitment was not found. Finally, servant leadership was found to have a direct impact on job satisfaction. On the other hand, servant leadership positively influences on organizational commitment when mediated through self-leadership. In addition, this study provides practical implications for hotel restaurant professionals in linking servant leadership mediated through self-leadership to job attitude.
This study was designed to find out a degree of social stigman on people with mental disorder. Many comparisons were made. The first was a comparison with the stigma on the physically disabled. And the differences between general public, the mentally ill, their families, and professionals were explored. Among general public attitudes, the sociodemographic and regional differences were also explored. The subject was 600 people, including 300 general public, 100 mentally ill, 100 families, 100 professionals. They were evenly distributed to 3 regions - big city, urban area, and rural area. The data were collected by a survey questionnaire consisting of the Attitude toward People with Mental Illness Scale, and the Attitude toward People with Physical Disabilities Scale. The analysis showed that the public attitude toward the mentally ill was quite acceptable. Social stigma was low in areas like accepting his/her human right. But the public also showed low acceptance on areas in allowing social functioning roles, and social integration. High stigma on the hospitalized mentally ill was expressed to those hospitalized patients regarding divorce against their will. However, volunteer experiences with this population seemed influential in high acceptance and low stigma. In comparison with the stigma on people with physical disabilities, the results showed. different levels in different areas. In regional comparison, the results showed that big city is the lowest among three. And the results of urban and rural area revealed different levels in different areas. In regard to self-stigma, while the subjects expressed low in general, they revealed high on areas like relating with others. Based on the findings, the study would conclude that mental health policy should be community-based, social integration oriented policy instead of in-patient oriented policy. Moreover, the professionals should intervene on the elements affecting both negative and positive attitudes.
As of September 2021, COVID-19 is still seriously impacting people globally. To better control the epidemic, the Chinese government adopted a nationwide quarantine policy at the early stage of the discovery of COVID-19, which has significantly changed people's production and life. China's Douyin app (International version: TikTok) is an extremely influential entertainment and social tool. During COVID-19, a large number of short videos about COVID-19 appeared. Publishers included government agencies, professionals, and self-media. The content released has made Douyin a tool for people to receive COVID-19 information in addition to entertainment and social functions. This is a quantitative study. By exploring the impact of the Douyin app on Chinese college students during COVID-19, this study provides suggestions from the level of social media such as TikTok to enable Korea's epidemic prevention to be more effective. This study established variable questions such as Douyin's information perceived value, information usage channels, information awareness, anti-epidemic policy attitude, trust of public institution and preventive behavioral intention, and conducted a questionnaire survey. Using SPSS to analyze the obtained data, this study found that: 1. The short video information usage channels about COVID-19 in Douyin have a positive impact on the audience's information awareness; 2. The information perceived value in Douyin has a positive impact on the audience's information awareness; 3. Information awareness and trust of public institution in Douyin have a positive impact on the audience's anti-epidemic policy attitude; 4. Information awareness and trust of public institutions in Douyin have a positive impact on the audience's preventive behavioral intention; 5. The audience's anti-epidemic policy attitude has a positive effect on preventive behavioral intention.
This study developed a model economic education program for young children related to Korean seasonal customs. The model was developed via literature reviews and survey research concerning teachers’' recognition of ‘'early childhood economic education’', consultations with professionals in the field, and testing and modifying the program. The goals of the model program were: teaching children to understand basic economic concepts, helping children to develop an economic attitude that emphasizes interdependence, and acknowledging the importance of eco-friendly economic values. The model includes three educational areas and 21 content areas including understanding the concept of exchange, sharing and cooperation, and circulation with nature. This study also developed 37 early childhood economic education activities using the teaching and learning methods of experiencing nature, virtual experience, real life experience, and traditional games experience.
The purpose of this study is to develop proper early childhood information communication ethics education program and apply it to children based on previous researches and demands of early childhood teacher in order to protect children who remain defenseless in the information society. The draft was developed after analyzing previous research and survey of early childhood teachers' perception and demands on early childhood information communication ethics education. On the basis of the draft and the survey, the early childhood information communication ethics education program was developed after examining the adequacy of each item and subordinate areas which was conducted by early childhood professionals and applied 17 children. Moreover, early childhood information communication ethics attitude surveys were carried out before and after the program to obtain effects of the early childhood information communication ethics education program. The early childhood information communication ethics education program was effective. There was significant difference (t=-2.27, p<.05) of mean score between experiment group and control group.
