영유아교사의 교직윤리: 윤리강령을 중심으로 (Early Childhood Teacher's Professional Ethics: The Code of Ethical Conduct)

  • Objective: This study examined the code of ethics, which offers guidelines for early childhood teachers' ethical decisions and practices. Results and Conclusion: In the second section of this paper, the meaning of the code of ethics is reviewed. The issues of the code of ethics are also investigated to resolve moral and ethical dilemmas and to maintain high standards of professional conduct in early childhood care and education. In the third section of this paper, a comparison of the ethical codes in South Korea, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States is conducted. Based on the results raised in relation to the code of ethics principles and the results of comparing domestic and international ethics codes, the fourth section of this paper focuses on three topics in the current and future direction of the Korean code of ethics: (a) concreteness and clarity, (b) switching from the viewpoint of least harm to the viewpoint of maximum benefit, and (c) the range of benefits of the code of ethics. Then, including the existence of the last two codes of ethics, we discuss the direction of future difficulties currently associated with the situation in Korea.

치과기공사의 직업윤리와 교육에 대한 인식 (A Study on perceptions of vocational ethics and education among dental technicians)

  • Purpose: The aim of this study is to explore professional ethics and awareness of education among dental technicians. Methods: A total of 250 questionnaires were produced and distributed to dental technicians from June 1 to October 30, 2019. Of these questionnaires, 106 were used in the final analysis. Results: More than half of respondents said that the state-run dental company has very strong ethical values. Higher levels of confidence in the professional mission of dental work were correlated with stronger ethical values. Moreover, those who had greater experience of training in the code of ethics for dental technicians exhibited a firmer sense of their professional mission. Conclusion: In the education process for dental technicians, attention should be given to establishing and practicing professional ethics. Guidelines and programs should be revised accordingly to build awareness of ethical practices in the workplace.

  • This article provides an overview of the developmental history and rationale of medical ethics to establish the code of ethics and professional conduct of the Korean Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (KACAP). Most medical professional organizations have their own codes of ethics and conduct because they have continuous responsibility to regulate professional activities and conducts for their members. The Ethics and Award Committee of the KACAP appointed a Task-Force to establish the code of ethics and conduct in 2012. Because bioethics has become global, the Ethics Task Force examined global standards. Global standards in medical ethics and professional conduct adopted by the World Medical Association and the World Psychiatric Association have provided the basic framework for our KACAP's code of ethics and professional conduct. The Code of Ethics of the Americal Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry has provided us additional specific clarifications required for child and adolescent patients. The code of ethics and professional conduct of the KACAP will be helpful to us in ethical clinical practice and will ensure our competence in recognizing ethical violations.

전문경호비서의 직업윤리에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Vocational Ethics of Security and Secretary Service)

  • Currently, the departments related to security and secretary service exist in 18 universities and 30 colleges in Korea in order to raise professional security and secretary personnel. Among the 18 four-year colleges in Korea, only two of them have the ethics course include in their curriculum. Also, among the 31 two-year colleges, only three of them have the ethics course included in their curriculum. Besides, as some private security and guardian companies were recently utilized in illegal actions of the rich and ruling class, contradicting their original purpose of existence, many people point out their downfall as a ?forced private army.? As a professional job, if security secretaries take advantage of the knowledge and top-secret technologies and use them for non-ethical purposes, the effect of the damage is far more serious than other fields of jobs. Therefore, taking this event as a turning point, the contract contents and the task area between the client and the security and secretary company must become more transparent in order to prevent illegal actions, and also for the people working in the security and secretary service area, it is necessary to establish a firm ethical consciousness in order to behave appropriately in their working environment. Therefore, this study examines the proper direction of work ethics of the people working in the security and secretary service according to the professionalization of their field, and also aims to propose an appropriate work ethic system such that they will not become an unfortunate victim of various scandals anymore. To do so, the concept of work ethics in professional jobs was examined; and after the code of ethics that reflect the ethical value system of each professional job was reviewed, the study suggested a specific solution for establishing the codes of ethics for security and secretary service.

의료윤리교육의 목적 및 과정에 대한 고찰 (Medical Ethics Education: Its Objectives and Curriculum)

  • Medical ethics has been integrated into the curriculum for medical education in Korea for over 30 years now. There have been many attempts to establish standards for the educational objectives and curriculum, including establishing learning outcomes and publishing medical ethics textbooks in Korean. However, this task is not easy for several reasons: the interdisciplinary nature of the subject, educators' lack of experience, and the lack of a consensus on the criteria that would be effective educational goals. In this article, the author explores (1) the need for reflection on the education itself, (2) two perspectives of medical ethics education, (3) critical perspectives on the effectiveness of the current medical ethics education, and (4) the variety of modalities of medical ethics education. Further, the author proposes a way to teach medical ethics in Korea. The contents and means are closely related to the question of philosophy of medical education: "Should professional ethics education be 'realistic' or 'idealistic'?" Ethics requires educators to be open to new learning experiences and to ethical development. Medical Ethics education should be relevant to everyday clinical experiences and, at the same time provide students and educators to critically review their ethical perspective through reflections.

전자기록환경에서의 아키비스트 윤리에 관한 연구 (A Study on Ethics for Archivists in the Electronic Records Environment)

  • 세계 각국의 아키비스트 협회 및 전문가 단체에서는 전문직적 기준과 아키비스트 윤리규정을 발표하고, 그 윤리규정을 통하여 실천적 과정에서 부딪히는 여러 가지 윤리적 문제들에 대해 윤리적 지침을 제공하고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 외국의 아키비스트 협회에서 채택한 윤리규정을 비교하여 아키비스트 윤리규정의 제정에 필요한 필수요소를 추출하고 아키비스트 윤리규정 모델을 제시하는 것이다. 이를 위해 SAA(미국), SA(영국), ACA(캐나다), ASA(호주), ICA(국제기구) 5개 아키비스트 협회를 선정하였다 아키비스트 윤리규 정을 크게 기록정보관리, 기록정보서비스, 전문직 실천과 조직에 관한 내용으로 나누어 분석하였고, 필수요소를 제안하였다. 아울러 필수요소를 중심으로 전자기록환경에서 고려하여야 할 점도 함께 고찰하였다.

Web of Science 빅데이터를 활용한 텍스트 마이닝 기반의 정보윤리 이슈 탐색 (Exploring Information Ethics Issues based on Text Mining using Big Data from Web of Science)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 Web of Science(WoS)에서 제공하는 학술 빅데이터를 활용하여 정보윤리 이슈를 탐색하고 향후 정보과 정보윤리 교육을 위한 시사점을 제공하는 것에 있다. 이를 위해 WoS에서 제공하는 학술논문 중 정보윤리와 관련해 출판된 318편의 논문을 텍스트 마이닝 하였다. 구체적으로는 R을 활용해 주요키워드에 대한 빈도 분석(TF, DF, TF-IDF), 토픽 모델링 기반의 정보윤리 이슈 분석, 그리고 각 이슈에 대한 연도별 출연 빈도를 분석하여 정보윤리 연구의 경향성을 탐색하였다. 주요 결과를 살펴보면 다음과 같다. 첫째, TF-IDF를 통해 'digital', 'student', 'software', 'privacy' 등의 단어가 주요 키워드임을 확인하였다. 둘째, 토픽 모델링 분석 결과, 'Professional value', 'Cyber-bullying', 'AI and Social Impact' 등을 포함한 총 8개 이슈로 분석되었고, 그 중, 'Professional value'와 'Cyber-bullying' 이슈가 상대적으로 높은 비율을 차지하고 있었다. 본 연구는 이러한 분석 결과를 기초로 우리나라 정보윤리 교육을 시사점을 논의하였다.

간호사의 전문직 자아개념과 윤리의식이 환자 개인정보보호 실천도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Nurse's Professional Self-concept, Sense of Ethics on the Performance of Protecting Patient Privacy)

  • 본 연구는 간호사의 전문직 자아개념과 윤리의식이 환자의 개인정보보호 실천도에 미치는 영향을 파악하고자 시도되었다. 연구대상은 K도에 소재한 종합병원에 재직 중인 간호사 196명으로, 2018년 6월 1일부터 7월 5일까지 전문직 자아개념과 윤리의식 및 환자 개인정보보호 실천도를 설문조사하였다. 연구결과 대상자의 전문직 자아개념은 4점 만점에 2.62점, 윤리의식은 4점 만점 중 2.93점, 환자 개인정보보호 실천도는 5점 만점 중 3.69점이었다. 환자 개인정보보호 실천도에 영향을 미치는 요인은 윤리의식, 전문직 자아개념으로 확인되었으며, 이들 변수들은 환자 개인정보보호 실천도를 30% 설명하였다. 따라서 병원 간호사의 환자 개인정보보호 실천도를 높이기 위해서는 간호사의 윤리의식을 높이고 전문직 자아개념을 향상시킬 수 있는 신규간호사를 위한 교육과 경력간호사를 위한 주기적인 재교육 프로그램이 마련되어야 할 것으로 사료된다.

일부 치위생과 학생들의 윤리의식에 미치는 요인에 관한 연구 (Connected Factors of Ethical Perception in Dental Hygiene Students)

  • 본 연구는 치위생과에 재학중인 학생들의 윤리의식에 미치는 영향요인을 규명하여 윤리교육의 기초자료로 활용하고자 개별자기기입법에 의한 설문을 실시하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1. 기초윤리 의식수준에 연관된 변수는 치과윤리교육필요성인지, 임상실습경험, 직업윤리교육경험이었다. 치과윤리교육필요성을 인지한 학생들이 기초윤리 의식수준이 높았고, 임상실습경험과 직업윤리교육경험이 있는 학생들이 기초윤리에 관한 의식수준이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 2. 면허법규 의식수준은 치과위생사윤리강령개정을 알고 있는 학생일수록, 치과윤리교육필요성을 인지하고 있는 학생일수록 면허법규에 관한 의식수준이 높았다. 3. 전문가윤리 의식수준에 연관된 변수는 치과위생사윤리강령 개정인지, 치과윤리교육필요성인지, 윤리 의식을 배우는 역할모델이었다. 가장 큰 영향을 미친 변수는 치과위생사 윤리강령개정이었다. 4. 의사결정 의식수준은 치과윤리교육필요성을 인지하고 있는 학생일수록, 치과위생사윤리강령개정을 인지하고 있는 학생일수록, 임상실습경험이 있는 학생일수록, 윤리의식을 배우는 역할모델이 교회라고 응답한 학생일수록 의사결정에 관한 의식수준이 높았다. 5. 팀웍에 관한 의식수준은 치과위생사윤리강령개정인지와 치과윤리교육필요성인지이었다. 치과위생사윤리강령개정을 인지하고 있는 학생일수록, 치과윤리교육필요성을 인지하고 있는 학생일수록 팀웍에 관한 의식수준이 높았다. 6. 치과위생사윤리강령개정에 대해 모르고 있다고 응답한 학생은 88.4%이었고, 치과위생사 윤리강령개정을 알고 있는 학생의 전문가윤리 의식수준이 $3.44{\pm}0.23$으로 높았다 (p=0.000).

윤리적 공학교육이란 무엇인가: 그 필요성과 실천전략 (What is Ethical Engineering Education : its Necessity and Practical Tasks)

  • This study started from a critical review of the current problem of ethics education in engineering colleges, how it has become stereotyped and perfunctory and hence, is failing to properly foster engineers with a sense of responsibility. Existing engineering ethics education occupies a very limited role and weight in the periphery of the engineering curriculum, unable to hold a central position. This situation is of grave concern, especially when the leadership of engineers with social and professional responsibility is of great importance. Therefore, this study explored new directions and strategies for engineering ethics education while reviewing domestic and foreign studies dealing with the current status and problems of engineering ethics education. First, this study discussed the need for and direction of shifting to ethical engineering education instead of ethics education centered on liberal arts courses. Second, this study presented specific practical strategies to construct the ethical engineering curriculum. For example, it is necessary to establish the ethical engineering curriculum with an education linking ethics with human development goals, ethics education using Korea's current issues and agendas, micro- and macro-level analysis related to engineering, and leadership education.
