미국의 기술사 제도와 시험 소개 (Introduction of U.S. Professional Engineer System and Examination)

  • Exam administration agreement was signed by the Korean Professional Engineers Association (KPEA) and the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) at the 2nd National Convention of Professional Engineers on 6 September 2008. Korean engineers can take U.S. Professional Engineer examination under proctor of KPEA in Korea from next April. It helps to broaden for Korean young engineers to have a chance to work and to be recognized as a professional engineer in the U.S. This is a brief introduction of U.S. Professional Engineer system and examination.

기술사 자격 검정 개선에 관한 연구 (A Study on Improving to Examine of P·E Qualification)

  • The domestic professional engineer qualification system has been changed after the enactment of the law in 1963. However, the domestic professional engineers have been unaccepted and unrecognized internationally. In addition, the domestic professional engineer system is operated in accordance with the individual laws of each ministry, but the official qualification examination is conducted by the Human Resource Development Service of Korea. Thus, the domestic professional engineer system has many problems in system itself and operating. In this research, we compare the domestic qualification system with the systems of other foreign countries, and propose how to improve the qualification system. This study limits the scope to the qualification examination for P·E. We suggest 3 ways to improve the qaulification examination; (1) The structure of the qualifications, (2) The testing method, and (3) The unification of the qualification system and operation.

발송배전기술사 고시 출제경향 분석 및 대학 교과과정 반영에 대한 고찰 (A Trend Analysis on Professional Engineer Examination and Reflection to a College Academic Curriculum - Focused on Generation/Transmission/Distribution Subdiscipline of Electrical Engineering -)

  • The government has pushed ahead with the establishment of a connection system among education-task-qualification with regards to the promotion of engineering industry, but there has been a lack of pertinent data. In this regard, this study investigated the ways of connecting universities' engineering education with Electrical Professional Engineer examination. The results show that the tendency of questions consists of 30[%] of transmission, 16[%] of basic theory, 14[%] of transformer, 14[%] of generation, 9[%] of new technology, 11[%] of other relevant fields. This study also presents a survey on the relationship between the engineer's license and college curriculum. The curriculum of Electrical Engineering Department of a leading National University in Seoul is investigated in relation to the Examination. Some learning materials for successful completion of the university curriculum and acquisition of the Professional Engineer license are also recommended.

  • 철도는 다른 수송수단에 비하여 많은 인원과 물류를 안전, 신속, 정확하게 운송 할 수 있는 기간산업으로, 매우 중요한 시설이다. 현재 철도시설을 담당하는 전문 인력의 수가 부족하여 철도신호기술사 확보가 시급히 요구되고 있다. 이에 철도신호기술사고시를 준비하는 사람은 많은 반면, 접근방법을 몰라 어려움을 느끼고 있다. 본 논문은 지난 15년간 기 출제된 시험문제와 최근 5년간의 문제에 대한 출제경향 및 철도관련 교육기관의 교과목을 조사, 분석하였다. 분석결과를 토대로 철도신호기술사고시를 준비하는 수험생으로 하여금 쉽게 자격취득 과정에 접근할 수 있는 방안을 제시하였으며, 또한 철도관련 교육기관의 교과목 중, 철도신호기술사 자격취득을 위한 필수교과목을 선별 제시하였다.

개정된 기술사법의 요점과 현황 (Outline of the revised Gijutsushi Law and existing situations in Japan)

  • The revised "Gijutsushi Act" was Promulgated in April 27th, 1983 due to approved by No. 98th National Assembly of Japan. Some substances points of revised act are discribed as follows, (1) View point from Participate actively in the Gijusushi Act. (2) View point from streamline of the governmental administration. (3) newly-stablished Gijutsushiho (assistant professional engineer). Author discribed by the table as compared with past and revised substance items for has a proper understanding of the newly Gijutsushi systems. Also, author discribed as situation of the examination in 1985 and 1985 respectively. Firstly, candidate for examinations were 6249 persons in 1984 and 4042 persons in 1985 respectively. It is means of clarify evident with interest for revised Gijutsushi activities. Secondly, it clarify from analysis of above statistics, 20~30 years ages candidate examination was account to over 85 percent in total. Students of universities and post graduated approached to this examinations was a few numbers of candidate, because of poorly public relation to schools and un universities.

  • I. History of the Gijutsushi Act revised II. The Revised Parts of the Act (1) The Revision of the Act; the Gijutsushi-in-Training newiy established 1) The Preliminary Examination was abolished. 2) The Normal Examination consists of two parts, i.e. 1st Stage Examination and 2nd Stage Examination. 3) Those who have passed the 1st Stage Examination are entitled to be Gijutsushi in Training: those who have passed the 2nd Stage Examination are entitled to be Gijutsushi. 4) The Gijutsushi-in-Training will register with the Science and Technology Agency and assist the professional business of Gijutsushi by using the title of Gijutsushi in Training. 5) Requirements for the Examinations. (a) No professional experience will be required for those who wish to apply for the 1st Stage Examination. (b) Those who wish to apply for the 2nd Stage Examination are required to have assisted Gijutsushi as Gijutsushi in Training for the period designated in the ordinance issued from the Prime Ministers' Office (7 years, probably) or mere. (c) All restrictions due to educational careers were abolished as to both kinds of Examinations. 6) Under certain conditions, the 1st Stage Examination will partially be waived. (2) The Subrogation of the Examinations The Director-General of the Science and Technology Agency is able to designate another agency to conduct, on its behalf, the affairs related to the Examinations. (3) The Subrogation of Affairs related to the Registrations The Director-General of the Science and Technology Agency is able to designate another agency to conduct the affairs related to the registration of Gijutsushi and Gijutsushi-in- Training. (4) The Symplification of Registration, etc. 1) The address will be deleted from the matters to be registered. 2) The address and the site of office will be deleted from the matters to be inserted in the Certificate of Registration.
