PCM Technology Development Trends of Korea and USA by Patent Analysis of Phase Change Material Related to Textile Products (섬유제품 상변화물질 관련 특허통계 분석을 통한 한국과 미국의 기술개발동향 - 특허정보검색 중심으로 -)

  • Phase change material-related patents filed at Korea Institute of Patent Information(KIPI) and United States Patent and Trademark Office(USPTO) were analyzed for understanding the PCM's technological level of Korea and providing the information for establishing the research development policy concerned with high technology fibers. Patent data from 1980 to 2005 collected from KIPI and USPTO internet sites were examined using the number of patents and share of assignees in patents. The contents of patent were classified according to IPC(International Patent Classification) and assignees were divided into individual and firm/public body. The results of comparing total number of patents in USA with that in Korea showed USA had as 2.3 times as Korea had. The number of patents of USA had increased steadily since 1980 whereas that of Korea sharply since 2001. The number of patents of Korea from 2001 to 2005 was more than that of USA. USA was specialized in fundamental technology and Korea was specialized in application area with PCM. Assignees who had the most patents were firms and the next were individuals. Assignees who applied for several patents were more in USA than in Korea and patent application numbers per the assignees were higher for USA.

  • The emergence of the internet causes the electronic trade of movies, music, software and other digital content products to be an eminent share of international commerce. The purpose of this study is to examine legal issues of electronic commerce chapters of the Korea US FTA and tasks of the digital contents industry. Results of the study show that several implications based on the industry are offered. The Korean government needs to do the following: settle of classification issue in digital contents, settle of customs issue in digital contents, settle of issue of non-discrimination principle in digital contents, settle of exclusion issue in audiovisual services, improve of global competitiveness, unify of export support system, establish of overseas expansion strategy in genre and regional contents, train of global experts and protect of intellectual property in digital contents.

Deep learning based image retrieval system for O2O shopping mall platform service design (O2O 쇼핑몰 플랫폼 서비스디자인을 위한 딥 러닝 기반의 이미지 검색 시스템)

  • This paper proposes a new service design which is deep learning-based image retrieval system for product search on O2O shopping mall platform. We have implemented deep learning technology that provides more convenient retrieval service for diverse images of many products that are sold in the internet shopping malls. In order to implement this retrieval system, real data used by shopping mall companies were used as experimental data. However, result from several experiments have confirmed deterioration of retrieval performance due to data components. In order to improve the performance, the learning data that interferes with the retrieval is revised several times, and then the values of experimental result are quantified with the verification data. Using the numerical values of these experiments, we have applied them to the new service design in this system.

  • For many years, a number of critical issues have been raised in relation to classification criteria. prevalence and clinical features as well as the concept of childhood depression itself. In order to achieve a better understanding of the childhood depression, empirical data on the prevalence and clinical features of depression in childhood and adolescence were reviewed and discussed from the developmental perspective. The developmental perspective proposes that maladaptive behaviors are products of the coping process to normal developmental tasks and it is necessary to make out the normative and adaptive developmental process in order to understand maladaptive behaviors. Age associated changes in depression symptomatology were discussed in relation to cognitive and socio-emotional development and directions for future research in childhood depression were suggested.

  • There arose problems of double investment about the game engine part when a lot of game software similar to the property and procedure processed in the game engine develop new game without the reference or reuse in the other games. In particular, using various software development processes is one of main problems of double investment when the enterprises for the game software development develop games now Accordingly, because it does not make standardization of process about the game engine, it does not understand and reuse products created in process of the other software development process in development now. Accordingly, the newly analyzed and designed software was big problems with the present game software about the game engine process similar to the other game software when the enterprises for any game software develop a special game. For solving these problems, this study is to suggest the process improvement about the game engine development, analysis of structure and relation, classification and combination method by the class and module, implementation of storage, and processor model in order to apply the development method based on the component.

Feasibility Evaluation of High-Tech New Product Development Projects Using Support Vector Machines

  • New product development (NPD) is defined as the transformation of a market opportunity and a set of assumptions about product technology into a product available for sale. Managers charged with project selection decisions in the NPD process, such as go/no-go choices and specific resource allocation decisions, are faced with a complicated problem. Therefore, the ability to develop new successful products has identifies as a major determinant in sustaining a firm's competitive advantage. The purpose of this study is to develop a new evaluation model for NPD project selection in the high -tech industry using support vector machines (SYM). The evaluation model is developed through two phases. In the first phase, binary (go/no-go) classification prediction model, i.e. SVM for high-tech NPD project selection is developed. In the second phase. using the predicted output value of SVM, feasibility grade is calculated for the final NPD project decision making. In this study, the feasibility grades are also divided as three level grades. We assume that the frequency of NPD project cases is symmetrically determined according to the feasibility grades and misclassification errors are partially minimized by the multiple grades. However, the horizon of grade level can be changed by firms' NPD strategy. Our proposed feasibility grade method is more reasonable in NPD decision problems by considering particularly risk factor of NPD in viewpoints of future NPD success probability. In our empirical study using Korean NPD cases, the SVM significantly outperformed ANN and logistic regression as benchmark models in hit ratio. And the feasibility grades generated from the predicted output value of SVM showed that they can offer a useful guideline for NPD project selection.

  • When and Where, What kind of agricultural products will be produced and provided for the market? It is a commercial requirement, and also an academic questions to remote sensing technology. Crop physiology analysis and growth monitoring are important elements for precision agriculture management. Remote sensing technology supplies us more selections and available spaces in this dynamic change study by producing images of different spatial, spectral and temporal resolutions. Especially, the hyperspectral remote sensing should do play a key role in crop growth investigation at national, regional and global scales. In the past five years, Chinese academy of sciences and Japan NTT-DATA have made great efforts to establish a prototype information service system to dynamically survey the vegetable planting situation in Nagano area of Japan mainly based on remote sensing data. For such concern, a flexible and light-duty flight system and some practical data processing system and some necessary background information should be rationally made together. In addition, some studies are also important, such as quick pre-processing for hyperspectral data, Multi-temporal vegetation index analysis, hyperspectral image classification in support of GIS data, etc. In this paper, several spectral data analysis models and a designed airborne platform are provided and discussed here.

Exploratory Study on the Quality Grade of Korea Black Raspberry Wines by Using Consumer Preference Data (시판 복분자주의 기호도 분석을 통한 탐색적 등급 분류)

  • In this study, 100 consumers (men, 50; women, 50; age group, 20-50 years) rated their overall preferences for 24 Korean raspberry wines by using a 9-point hedonic scale. The analysis of variance was constructed to evaluate the effect of gender, age, and samples on the preference scores of the wine products. Significant differences were observed in overall preferences for the 24 samples; however, no interactions based on preferences by age and gender groups were noted. Cluster analysis was performed to determine sample clustering based on the frequencies from the preference data. Three clusters were obtained; these three clusters were well separated based on the mean overall preference scores for the samples. Discriminant analysis based on the three clusters also confirmed the same grouping of samples with 100% accuracy.

It can be said that this example of art marketing is a kind of an image marketing and public welfare at the same time. This article presents the concept of culture marketing and current condition of company. s support for culture and arts. In addition, the article depicts the concept and classification of art marketing. Furthermore, through analysis of company exhibition space and programs, the article illustrates the features and typology of art galleries managed by companies.

Auto-tagging Method for Unlabeled Item Images with Hypernetworks for Article-related Item Recommender Systems (잡지기사 관련 상품 연계 추천 서비스를 위한 하이퍼네트워크 기반의 상품이미지 자동 태깅 기법)

  • Article-related product recommender system is an emerging e-commerce service which recommends items based on association in contexts between items and articles. Current services recommend based on the similarity between tags of articles and items, which is deficient not only due to the high cost in manual tagging but also low accuracies in recommendation. As a component of novel article-related item recommender system, we propose a new method for tagging item images based on pre-defined categories. We suggest a hypernetwork-based algorithm for learning association between images, which is represented by visual words, and categories of products. Learned hypernetwork are used to assign multiple tags to unlabeled item images. We show the ability of our method with a product set of real-world online shopping-mall including 1,251 product images with 10 categories. Experimental results not only show that the proposed method has competitive tagging performance compared with other classifiers but also present that the proposed multi-tagging method based on hypernetworks improves the accuracy of tagging.
