  • Recently, the growth of the computer-related industries lead to the growth of the computer-aided education. Virtual training (VT) is one of the most interesting education methods. Many 3D models for the VT contents have been produced, but little research has been performed for the unified management system to promote the reuse of 3D models. This paper proposes the unified 3D model management system. The 3D model file formats are surveyed to find a format that can be easily used by many VT content production softwares. The 3D model files will be stored in a central DB server. The structure of the DB system will be designed for 3D models. The system provides an easy way to search and download a 3D model. With the proposed system, the reuse of 3D models is expected to be promoted.

  • The purpose of this study was to reduce safety accidents among food employees in contracted foodservice management companies, and to help provide high-quality foodservice and assistance. For this, a survey on the different opinions of workplace safety and education by employment type and employee perceptions of environment and safety at foodservice operations was carried out. The analysis showed that among the workers many women were irregular employees. For average age, between 40 and 49 was the most frequent, and for work duration, under one year was highest. Both regular employees and irregular employees deemed "enough staff" as the most major factor for good foodservice. The regular employees and irregular employees thought "high indoor temperatures and poor ventilation in the kitchen area" and "bad work cooperation between employees" as the main problems of foodservice operations, respectively. For satisfaction with the efficiency of foodservice production system, irregular employees had higher satisfaction than regular employees. Both regular employees and irregular employees thought "the number of foodservice employees" as the foremost improvement for safety-accident prevention and work-stress improvements. Regular employees, more than irregular employees, thought improvements in foodservice production systems would have a large affect on safety-accident prevention and work-stress improvements of food workers. Both regular employees and irregular employees thought "foodservice employees' safety consciousness" was an important part of safety-accident prevention. Likewise, they responded that "lectures by the person in charge of safety education" was a good methods of safety education, and "once a month" was the best period for safety education. For the difference in perceptions of environment and safety in foodservice systems, regular employees had a higher perception of safety than irregular employees.

  • With -$OCH_2CO$- as a linker, a non ${\beta}$-substituted cationic bisporphyrin (4a) and a ${\beta}$-substituted cationic bisporphyrin (4b) were prepared through methylation of the intermediate which was obtained from ${\beta}$-amino-5,10,15,20-tetra (4-cyanophenyl) porphyrin or 5-hydroxylphenyl-10,15,20-tris(4-cyanophenyl) reacting with 5-hydroxy-10,15,20-trispyridinylporphyrin. Their structures were confirmed by $^1H$ NMR, IR, UV-vis, MS and elemental analysis. DNA photocleavage ability and the singlet oxygen ability of those cationic bisporphyrins were investigated. DNA photocleavage activity of ${\beta}$-substituted cationic bisporphyrin was significantly weaker than that of $H_2TMPyP$, but similar to that of non ${\beta}$-substituted cationic bisporphyrin. While 4a and 4b showed substantial photocleavage activities toward DNA, with 68% and 66% observed at 10 ${\mu}M$. The assessment of indirectly measured $^1O_2$ production rates against $H_2TMPyP$ were described and the relative singlet oxygen production yields were: free cationic bisporphyrins > $H_2TMPyP$. The results showed the cationic bisporphyrins with ${\beta}$-substitution and non ${\beta}$-substitution could be developed as potential photodynamic agents.

  • The metabolites of agrichemicals, such as organophosphorus pesticides, are known to be more hazardous than their parent pesticides. 3,5,6-trichloro-2-pyridinol (TCP) is a major degradation product of chlorpyrifos, one of the organophosphate insecticides widely used in agriculture. In vivo or in vitro exposure to chlorpyrifos has been known to interfere with male reproductive functions, leading to reduced fertility in mammals. Therefore, this study was performed to examine the changes in the fertilization competence of boar spermatozoa exposed to TCP. Sperm samples were subjected to varying concentrations of TCP (10, 50, 100, 200 µM) and different periods of incubation. Sperm motility, motion kinematics, viability, acrosome integrity, intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS) production, and gene expression levels (ODf2, ZPBP2, AKAP3 and AKAP4) were evaluated after exposure of the sperm to TCP. A significant dose-dependent reduction in motility was observed in sperm samples incubated with TCP compared to the controls after both incubation periods. Sperm viability was significantly decreased in samples incubated with 50, 100, and 200 µM TCP in both incubation periods. A significantly lower percentage of normal acrosomes and gene expression levels were observed in sperm samples exposed to 50, 100, and 200 µM TCP after both incubation periods, compared to the controls. There was a significant increase in the ROS production in spermatozoa incubated with 100 - 200 µM TCP after both incubation periods. Consequently, the direct exposure of boar spermatozoa to TCP interferes with sperm functions and leads to decreased fertilization. In order to identify and address the various causes of reproductive decline, the impact of chemical metabolites needs to be discussed in depth.

  • Printed circuit boards (PCBs) are a key component widely used in the production of electronic products, and not only quantitative growth but also qualitative developments such as integration cannot be ignored. Wave soldering equipment is commonly used equipment at manufacturing sites, but it is impossible to configure a dedicated equipment environment suitable for each PCB specification during the preliminary research and prototype development stage. It is neither suitable for development within limited time line nor manufacturing various product groups because only equipment setting conditions can be changed within a given time. In this study, we introduce a case of introducing a PCB pallet to enable selection of optimal process conditions within the limited environment described above. In addition, by presenting a discriminant that can determine in advance whether production is possible with current general-purpose equipment, it is expected that problems that may arise due to limitations in the general-purpose wave soldering equipment environment can be identified and resolved in advance. Ultimately, this palette makes it possible to shorten the development period and improve productivity.

  • Litterfall dynamics in forests are assessed by estimating biomass production and decomposition. However, there have been few studies on how litter dynamics impact the health and management of ecosystems. Here, a new approach to measure and assess ecosystem function is presented based on conventional methods using littertraps, litterbags, and the mass on the forest floor. To assess the status of litter dynamics, the decay rate (k) was estimated from a litterbag experiment, and removal rates ($k_i$) were determined from mass balance on the forest floor at 21 sites on three mountains in South Korea. The $k_3$ (organic mass ratio of $O_i$ and $O_e+O_a$ + A horizons in November) values in an equilibrium state in South Korea were within the range of $k{\pm}0.174$ when considering the annual variation of litterfall production. This study also suggests that sampling sites for these types of studies should be in the middle, not at the ends, of steady slopes on the forest floor.

  • The business value of IT has been the focus of the academic and business field in recent years, along with the massive IT investment. Unfortunately, those studies have not been able to demonstrate strong linkages between the IT investment and performance. The impact of IT investment on performance is an important research topic that needs to consider the role of key contextual factors and intermediate factors. This study develops an integrated model for IT investment, with the mediating effects of production/coordination performance towards firm performance. In addition, the model is moderated by some factors like ISP(Information Systems Planning), Business Planning alignment, top management support, IT education and training, and process innovation. The empirical result, based on the moderating regression analysis, indicates that the relationship between IT Investment and production/coordination performance is significantly positive depending on moderating factors. However, production/coordination performance is partially related to firm performance.

  • Using WAsP, which is PC-program for the vertical and horizontal extrapolation of wind data, annual energy production as well as wind energy density has been predicted for Haengwon wind farm in Jeju island. The predicted results were compared with real data derived from wind turbines in Haengwon wind farm. As the results, in order to produce more electric power, new wind turbines should be located along coastal line, which has comparatively high wind energy density. Also, the roughness length should be inputted to the Map Editor program for better agreement with real annual energy production.
