고객만족에 기초한 의류제품 품질특성분류에 관한 연구 (A Study on Classification of Apparel Product Quality Characteristics Based on Customer Satisfaction)

  • Customer expectations and requirements for products play an important role in product planning for companies and decision making process for the consumer. These expectations are expressed by product qualities that consumers consider important when they purchase. Therefore, to identify quality elements that reflect consumer requirements would be a useful guide for companies. The purposes of this study are to find out quality factors of apparel product, to identify apparel product quality elements using Kano's theory, to find attributes of product which improvement are required. Women over 20 years-old from metropolitan areas in South Korea participated in the study and a quota sampling method was used. A questionnaire was arranged with four separate subject sections, importance of quality, Kano's questionnaires, and demographics. Data from 525 questionnaires were used for the statistical analysis. The results were as follows: Six dimensions of product quality(i.e., usefulness, performance, aesthetic, symbol, individuality and appearance) were identified. According to Kano's quality elements, performance was categorized into must-be quality which could lead to product dissatisfaction. Usefulness and appearance were categorized into one-dimensional quality which lead to both satisfaction and dissatisfaction. Aesthetic, symbol, and individuality was categorized into attractive quality which could lead to satisfaction. Findings of this study provide both industry and academic researchers with a guide to increase customer satisfaction in the product development process.

  • 현시대 및 미래의 제조산업은 대부분 소프트웨어 융합 제품으로 이미 바뀌었거나 계속해서 바뀌고 있어, 소프트웨어가 부품의 의미로 사용되었던 '임베디드 소프트웨어 제품'이라는 용어도 이미 소프트웨어와 하드웨어가 동등한 역할을 하는 '소프트웨어 융합 제품'으로 불리고 있다. 이것은 단지 호칭의 유행이 아니라 제품의 기능적 진화의 대부분이 소프트웨어를 통해 중점적으로 진행되고 있음을 의미하며, 또한 소프트웨어의 품질이 융합 제품의 품질을 좌우하게 되었음을 의미한다. 융합 제품은 특성상 양산과 판매의 성격을 지닌다. 이는 양산된 제품의 소프트웨어 결함은 양산된 제품 수에 비례하여 엄청난 결함 비용을 발생한다는 것이다. 따라서 융합 산업에서 소프트웨어 품질은 기능의 경쟁력이기 이전에 사업의 안정성을 의미한다. 소프트웨어 품질 개선에 대해서는 그 동안 많은 연구와 노력이 있어왔으나, 국내나 아시아의 개발환경 하에서 실질적인 성공사례를 찾아보기는 쉽지가 않다. 아이폰의 충격과 토요타의 리콜 사건 등 많은 융합 산업의 물결 속에서 보다 현실적이고 냉정한 소프트웨어품질 관리 방안이 필요한 때이다. 본 논문에서는 융합 소프트웨어 산업의 태생적 특성을 살펴보고, 동시에 전통적인 소프트웨어 품질 개선 방법들의 현재 소프트웨어 융합산업에서의 적용 한계에 대해 논하여 본다. 그리고 융합 소프트웨어 산업의 특성을 고려한 보다 현실적인 소프트웨어 품질 개선 방안에 대해 소개하고자 한다. 본 논문에서 기술되는 전략은 프로세스 수준보다 개선 활동의 구현상에서의 구체적 전략에 해당한다. 따라서 CMMI혹은 TQM, 6시스마와 같은 품질 혁신활동과 어우러져 사용될 수 있다.

미니밀 공정의 회귀식 모델링에 의한 제품품질향상에 관한 연구 (A Study on Product Quality Improvement by Regression Modeling of Mini-Mill Process)

  • Mini-Mill process has been recently in operation at Pohang steel company, which enables more flexible steel coil production on customer demands. The effects of process parameters in Mini-Mill process need to be analyzed not only to make the process stable but also to improve product quality. This work aims to develop a regression model of Mini-Mill process using accumulated product data such that the process parameter effects on product tensile strength may be analyzed. The analysis shows that tensile strength is influenced mainly by the amount of components such as carbon, manganese, silicon, and sulfur. The effect of temperature is shown to be small. It is concluded that control of the components is much more responsible for both meeting the target and reducing the variation of the product tensile strength. Heat treatment is more useful in compensating tensile strength variations due to thickness differences and improving workability and other quality characteristics. More work is necessary for establishing regression expressions of the process that is reliable and accurate enough to dispense with the off-line inspection of the product tensile strength.

  • 본 연구는 철강제조 분야에서 제품 생산 중 발생하는 모든 데이터를 실시간으로 수집하여 데이터베이스화하고, 웹 기반 시스템을 구축함으로써 시간과 장소의 제약 없이 필요 데이터를 조회, 분석할 수 있는 시스템 개발에 대한 연구이다. 본 시스템의 구축 결과, 실시간으로 데이터의 조회 및 분석이 가능하게 됨으로써 생산 제품에 대한 보다 효율적인 품질개선 활동이 가능하게 되었고, 제품의 신뢰도를 높일 수 있게 되었다. 또한 장기간 누적된 데이터를 데이터베이스화하고 그것을 통계적으로 분석 가능하게 함으로써 새로운 제어모델의 개발과 조업기술의 개발이 보다 용이하게 되었고, 신제품 개발의 기초자료로도 활용할 수 있게 되었다.

The Design Quality Comparison and Inspection Efficiency for Hardware and Software

  • The process of producing software differs in many aspects from that of traditional manufacturing. Software is not manufactured in the classical sense. Development of software more closely resembles the development effort that goes into design new product [1-3]. In this article, we first describe the foundations of process improvement, which all processes can share. The process improvement differences between software and manufacturing process are then discussed, and a defect driven process inspection and improvement is introduced. Based on the discussion, two experiments were designed and the results of the results were collected. Through the comparison, we found that some efficient quality improvement approaches can be easily adapted in the software improvement and that the inspection efficiency is also significant.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to propose an optimization process to improve product yield in the process using process data. Recently, research for low-cost and high-efficiency production in the manufacturing process using machine learning or deep learning has continued. Therefore, this study derives major variables that affect product defects in the manufacturing process using eXplainable Artificial Intelligence(XAI) method. After that, the optimal range of the variables is presented to propose a methodology for improving product yield. Methods: This study is conducted using the injection molding machine AI dataset released on the Korea AI Manufacturing Platform(KAMP) organized by KAIST. Using the XAI-based SHAP method, major variables affecting product defects are extracted from each process data. XGBoost and LightGBM were used as learning algorithms, 5-6 variables are extracted as the main process variables for the injection process. Subsequently, the optimal control range of each process variable is presented using the ICE method. Finally, the product yield improvement methodology of this study is proposed through a validation process using Test Data. Results: The results of this study are as follows. In the injection process data, it was confirmed that XGBoost had an improvement defect rate of 0.21% and LightGBM had an improvement defect rate of 0.29%, which were improved by 0.79%p and 0.71%p, respectively, compared to the existing defect rate of 1.00%. Conclusion: This study is a case study. A research methodology was proposed in the injection process, and it was confirmed that the product yield was improved through verification.

단조산업의 품질비용 관리체계 개발 및 지속적 품질개선 방안에 관한 사례 연구 (A Case Study on The Development of Quality Cost Management System and Continuous Improvement in The Forging Industry)

  • 소재 산업은 공정 기술을 활용하여 최종 제품에 적용되는 부품을 생산하며 완성품의 품질을 결정하는 중요한 기반 산업이다. 그러나 최근 시장 환경이 악화되고 3D 업종으로 인식되어 다른 소재 산업 국가에 비해 경쟁력을 잃어가고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구는 단조 기업의 특성을 분석하고 품질 비용 범위를 설정하여 해당 산업에 특화된 품질 비용 관리 체계 및 지속적 품질 개선 방안에 대한 프로세스를 개발한다. 본 연구를 통해서 단조 산업의 세 가지 특성인 설비 의존, 수주 위주, 현장 중심을 발견하고 내부 실패 비용과 외부 실패 비용을 품질 비용 범위로 설정하였다. 대형 단조업체인 A기업에 대해서 개발된 품질 비용 관리 체계와 지속적 품질 개선 프로세스를 적용하여 총 8개의 품질 과제를 발굴하였으며, 개선 활동 결과 전년 대비 약 63.3%의 품질비용 저감을 확인하여 그 실효성을 증명하였다. 본 연구는 단조 기업들이 체계적으로 품질 비용을 관리하고 분석하여 품질 경영전략 방향성을 수립할 수 있도록 도움을 줄 것으로 판단된다.

공급자 부품품질 향상을 위한 품질보증시스템 개선방안 (Enhancement of Quality Assurance System for Improving the Quality of Suppliers' Product)

  • A prerequisite for improving the quality of a product is to enhance the quality of its parts supplied from outsourced enterprises. An enterprise certified by ISO 9001 Quality Management System is expected to develop their effective quality assurance system and maintain it through continuous control and improvement, thereby ensuring the good quality of products that they produce. However, it is reported that small and medium-sized enterprises certified by ISO 9001 have difficulty establishing an effective quality assurance system. This study aims to propose a new method of improving a quality assurance system that can be more effective in small and medium-sized enterprises. This study collectively considered requirements specified in several international standards on quality system and the results of expert group brainstorming to identify evaluation areas and items for assessing a quality assurance system. Based on these evaluation areas and items, a set of checklists for diagnosing and improving a quality assurance system was developed. In order to demonstrate the usefulness of the proposed method, this study applied it to ten small and medium-sized enterprises and could identify four approaches for improving their current quality assurance system. The presented improvement method, which consists of establishment of quality goals and quality innovation plan, defective products corrective activities, 4M and design change process, improvement of customer quality information management, is expected to be utilized as a useful tool for the enhancement of the quality assurance system of small and medium-sized enterprises.

Impact of Service Quality and Perceived Value on Customer Satisfaction and Behavioral Intentions: Evidence from Convenience Stores in Vietnam

  • This research investigates the relationship among product quality, service quality, perceived value, customer satisfaction, and behavior intentions. Validated measurements were identified from a literature review. The measurement model and the conceptual model depicting hypothesized relationships were evaluated based on responses from 220 customers using confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling. The testing results show that, for the direct path, product quality has a significant, positive influence on customer satisfaction, and behavioral intentions. Also, perceived value directly influences customer satisfaction and behavioral intentions and satisfaction is an antecedent of behavioral intentions. For the indirect path, service quality has a significant, positive influence on behavioral intentions through the customer satisfaction. The major finding of this study suggest that service quality easily attract more customers, especially the young consumers. About the sale personnel, communication skills, knowledge and ways of treatment to customers are crucial to retailers to gain competitive advantage over competitors. Therefore, it should have clear and consistent processes, procedures with criteria that create the best condition for organization and individual to open this kind of retailing store. Furthermore, product quality improvement is essential; all products must have clear originality; and diversifying products and services is also the way to appeal more consumers.
