FFT를 이용한 Hertzian Contact 해석 (Analysis of Hertzian Contact using East Fourier Transform)

  • In this study, a numerical procedure to solve a contact problem has been developed. The procedure takes advantage of signal processing technique in frequency domain to achieve shorter computing time. Boussinesq's equation was adopted as the response function. This procedure is applicable to a non-periodic surface profile as well as a periodic one. The validity of this procedure has been established by comparing the numerical results with the exact solutions. The fastness of this procedure was shown in comparison with other algorithm.

  • By operating on many part of a software system concurrently, the parallel processing computers may provide several orders of magnitude more computing power than traditional serial computers. If the Lagrangean approximation procedure is applied to a large scale manufacturing problem which is decomposable into many subproblems, the procedure is a perfect candidate for parallel processing. By distributing Lagrangean subproblems for given multiplier to multiple processors, concurrently running processors and modifying Lagrangean multipliers at the end of each iteration of a subgradient method,a parallel processing of a Lagrangean approximation procedure may provide a significant speedup. This purpose of this research is to investigate the potential of the parallelized Lagrangean approximation procedure (PLAP) for certain combinational optimization problems in manufacturing systems. The framework of a Plap is proposed for some combinatorial manufacturing problems which are decomposable into well-structured subproblems. The synchronous PLAP for the multistage dynamic lot-sizing problem is implemented on a parallel computer Alliant FX/4 and its computational experience is reported as a promising application of vector-concurrent computing.

The procedure takes the advantage of signal processing technique in frequency domain to achieve the shorter computer processing time. The Boussinesq's equation was adopted as the response function. This procedure is applicable to the non-periodic surface profile as well as the periodic one. The validity of this procedure has been established by comparing the numerical results with the exact solutions. The effectiveness of this procedure is lied on the shorter computing time than any other contact analysis algorithm.

Practical issues in signal processing for structural flexibility identification

  • Compared to ambient vibration testing, impact testing has the merit to extract not only structural modal parameters but also structural flexibility. Therefore, structural deflections under any static load can be predicted from the identified results of the impact test data. In this article, a signal processing procedure for structural flexibility identification is first presented. Especially, practical issues in applying the proposed procedure for structural flexibility identification are investigated, which include sensitivity analyses of three pre-defined parameters required in the data pre-processing stage to investigate how they affect the accuracy of the identified structural flexibility. Finally, multiple-reference impact test data of a three-span reinforced concrete T-beam bridge are simulated by the FE analysis, and they are used as a benchmark structure to investigate the practical issues in the proposed signal processing procedure for structural flexibility identification.

Influence of Loading Procedure of Liquid Butadiene Rubber on Properties of Silica-filled Tire Tread Compounds

  • Low molecular weight liquid butadiene rubber (LqBR) is a processing aid that can resolve the migration problem of tire tread compounds. Various studies are being conducted to replace the petroleum-based processing oil with LqBR. However, the effect of the loading time of LqBR in the compounding process on silica dispersion and vulcanizate properties is not well known. In this study, we analyzed silica dispersion, vulcanizate properties, and viscoelastic properties of silica-filled tire tread compound according to the processing aid type (TDAE oil, non-functional LqBR) and, silane terminated LqBR) and input timing. In the non-functional LqBR compounds, the 'with TESPT' mixing procedure showed excellent dynamic viscoelastic properties while silane-terminated LqBR compounds showed that the 'after TESPT' mixing procedure was good for 300% modulus and abrasion resistance.

결함 허용을 제공하는 원격 프로시듀어 호출 기법 (Remote Procedure Call Scheme to Support Fault-Tolerance)

  • 원격 프로시듀어 호출은 좀 더 효율적이며 신뢰성이 가미된 분산 프로그램을 프로 그래머가 작성하기 쉽도록 하기 위하여 연구 되어 왔다. 본 연구에서는 하드웨어 결함 에 대한 신뢰성 있는 결함 허용 원격 프로시듀어 호출 기법을 제시한다. 결합 허용은 chain이라 불리는 노드의 그룹으로 프로시듈어를 복제 하여 제공하며, chain내의 사본 들은 선형적인 순서로 되어 있다. 프로시듀어에 대한 호출은 chain내의 첫 번째 사본 (primary copy)으로 보내지며, 나머지 사본에게는 내부적으로 전파된다. 결함이 발생 한 경우, 결함이 발생하지 않은 chain 내의 첫 번째 사본이 caller에게 결과를 반환하 게 된다. 특히, 제한적으로 ack message을 사용함으로써 중복된 call message와 result message의 처리를 피하였다. 이 기법은 기존의 원격 프로시듀어 호출에 비하여 효율적 이고 신뢰성 있는 결함 허용을 제공하게 된다.

  • The radar signal processing procedure is divided into the pre-processing such as frequency down converting, down sampling, pulse compression, and etc, and the post-processing such as doppler filtering, extracting target information, detecting, tracking, and etc. The former is generally designed using FPGA because the procedure is relatively simple even though there are large amounts of ADC data to organize very quickly. On the other hand, in general, the latter is parallel processed by multiple DSPs because of complexity, flexibility and real-time processing. This paper presents the radar signal processor design using FPGA which includes not only the pre-processing but also the post-processing such as doppler filtering, bore-sight error, NCI(Non-Coherent Integration), CFAR(Constant False Alarm Rate) and etc.

GIS-based Meteorological Data Processing Technology for Forest Fire Danger Rating Forecast System of China

  • The data of average temperature, average relative humidity, precipitation and average wind speed were collected from 674 meteorological stations in China. A specific procedure that processes original data into a new data format needed in forest fire danger rating forecast system of China was introduced systematically, and the feasibility of this method was validated in this paper. In addition, a set of meteorological data processing software was constructed by the secondary development of GIS in order to realize automation of processing data for the system. Results showed that the approach preformed well in handling temperature, average relative humidity and average wind speed, and the processing effect of precipitation was acceptable. Moreover, the automated procedure could be achieved by GIS and the working efficiency was about 3 times as much as that of manual handling. The informationization level of processing meteorological data was greatly enhanced.

  • 본 논문에서는 블루투스 디바이스를 찾는 과정인 inquiry 과정과 문제점에 대해 알아본다. 블루투스 inquiry에서의 지연은 사용자가 불편함을 느낌은 물론, 그에 따른 상당한 전력을 소모하게 된다. 이를 개선하기 위하여 각각의 inquiry 마다 얻은 디바이스 정보를 이용함으로써 전체적인 inquiry의 성능 향상을 이루고, 안정적으로 보다 많은 디바이스 정보를 얻음으로써 사용자는 더욱 편리하게 블루투스를 이용할 수 있다.
