Parallel Finite Element Analysis System Based on Domain Decomposition Method Bridges (영역분할법에 기반을 둔 병렬 유한요소해석 시스템)

  • This paper describes an application of domain decomposition method for parallel finite element analysis which is required to large scale 3D structural analysis. A parallel finite element method system which adopts a domain decomposition method is developed. Node is generated if its distance from existing node points is similar to the node spacing function at the point. The node spacing function is well controlled by the fuzzy knowledge processing. The Delaunay triangulation method is introduced as a basic tool for element generation. Domain decomposition method using automatic mesh generation system holds great benefits for 3D analyses. Aa parallel numerical algorithm for the finite element analyses, domain decomposition method was combined with an iterative solver, i.e. the conjugate gradient(CG) method where a whole analysis domain is fictitiously divided into a number of subdomains without overlapping. Practical performance of the present system are demonstrated through several examples.

  • To determine the source location of acoustic emission in rock, the least square method has been used until lately but it needs much time and efforts. In this study, neural network system is applied to above model instead of least square method. This system has twenty seven input processing elements and three output processing element. The source locations calculated by above two methods are similarly concordant. The new method using neural network system is relatively simple and easy for calculating source location compared with traditional method.

  • Abrupt change of cross-section in mechanical parts is one of significant causes of structural fracture. In this paper, a hybrid method is employed to analyze the stress distribution of a discontinuous plate. The plate with an inclined crack is utilized in our experiment and the stress field in the vicinity of crack tip is calculated through isochromatic fringe order of given points. This calculation can be made handy through least-squares method integrated with complex power series representation(Laurent series) implemented on a computer program for high-speed processing. In order to accurately compare calculated results with experimental ones, both of actual and regenerated photoelastic fringe patterns are doubled and sharpened by digital image processing. The experiment results show that regenerated patterns obtained by hybrid method are quite comparable to actual patterns.

  • This paper considers the TMN system for management of public ATM switching network which has the four-level hierarchical structure consisting of one network management system, a few element management system and several agent-ATM switch pairs, respectively. The effects of one TMN command on the local call processing performance of the component ATM switch an analyzed using Jackson's queueing model. The TMN command considered is the permanent virtual call connection, and the performance measures of ATM switch are the utilization, mean queue length and mean waiting time for the processor interfacing the subscriber lines and trunks directly, and the call setup delay of the ATM switch.

  • In this paper a content addressable memory (CAM) is designed by adopting best-match method. It has a single processing element(PE) architecture with high computational efficiency and throughput. It is composed of three main functional blocks(input MUX, best-match CAM, control part). It support fully parallel processing. Logic simulation is completed by using QUICKSIM, Circuit simulation is performanced by using HSPICE. Its layout is based on the ETRI 3 m n-well process design rules. Its maximum operating frequency is 20 MHz.

  • 본 논문에서는 정수 단위 화소 움직임 예측(ME: Motion Estimation)을 위한 Unsymmetrical-cross Multi-Hexagon-grid Search (UMHexagonS) 알고리즘을 기반으로, CIF 크기의 영상을 실시간으로 부호화 하기 위한 정수 단위 화소 움직임 예측 모듈을 제안한다. 제안하는 정수 단위 화소 움직임 예측 모듈은 32 개의 1 차원 연산유닛(PE: Processing Element) 배열, 데이터 선택/재배열 유닛, 내부버퍼, 그리고 트리 구조의 덧셈기로 구성되며, CIF 크기의 영상 100 프레임을 부호화 하기 위한 클럭 사이클을 계산하여 실험결과로 제시하였다. 그 결과 제안하는 구조는 400MHz 의 클럭 속도에서 CIF 크기의 영상을 실시간으로 부호화 할 수 있다.

  • 본 논문에서는 Mamdani 방법과 Koczy 방법의 퍼지 추론 알고리즘에 대햇 병렬머신에 적합한 병렬 퍼지 추론 방법을 제안하고, 효율적인 병렬 퍼지 아키텍처를 설계한다. 제안된 아키텍처는 비교적 높은 성능을 갖고, 확장이 용이한 구조로서, 여러개의 FPE(Fuzzy Processing Element), CP(Control Processor), 메모리 모듈, 상호연결망 및 Min 회로로 구성되어 있다. 이러한 구조의 특징은 iqjsWo의 FPE는 I번째의 전건부 및 I번째의 후건부의 처리만을 수행하기 때문에 전건부, 변수들의 처리는 각각 병렬도 수행되고, 후건부의 처리도 또한 각각 병렬로 수행된다. 따라서 프로세서의 활용도가 높아지며, 전건부와 후건부의 변수, 퍼지규칙의수에 관계없이 쉽게 구성할 수 있다. 이러한 구조는 실시간에 고속추론을 요하는 시스템 또는 전건부와 후건부의 변수가 많은 대규모 전문가 시스템에 사용되어 질 수 있으며, MISO(Multiple-input, Single-output) 시스템보다 MIMO(Multiple-input, Multiple-output) 시스템에 특히 적합하다.

The Construction of Universal Mulitple Processing Unit based on De Bruijn Graph

  • This paper presents a method of constructing the universal multiple processing element unit(UMPEU) based on De Bruijn Graph. The proposed method is as following. Firstly we propose transformation operators in order to construct the De Bruijn graph using properties of graph. Secondly we construct the transformation table of De Bruijn graph using above transformation operators. Finally we construct the De Bruijn graph using transformation table. The proposed UMPEU is capable of constructing the De Bruijn geraph for any prime number and integer value of finite fields. Also the UMPEU is applied to fault-tolerant computing system, pipeline class, parallel processing network, switching function and its circuits.

  • The area of the prototype device is less than 80mm$^2$. Operating with a 60ns clock cycle, the device typically dissipates only 300mW. The full functionality was proven by using the methodical test programs based on typical image processing operations. Also, we realized the whole process from conventional gray image to color image. Format converters, implemented using multidimensional access memories, transfer the data between the processing element array and conventional bit-parallel components in real time. The completed system is fully functional and performs typical low-level image processing tasks at speed exceeding 30 frames of traditional TV system per second.

  • This paper shows about the machine simulation embodiment when it happened NC equipment and between workpiece and interference collision at 5 axises processing of aircraft parts. And this research has been chosen because of the highest equipment interference occurrence rate at aircraft parts processing of 5 axises horizontal machine. It can verify simulation and machining process through correlation about their dynamic relations. interference, collision as embodied virtual manufacturing system of machining tool, workpiece, and holder etc. that is necessary element in shape of machine tool and function and processing in imagination ball. Also. it verified about interference and collision between NC equipment parts and workpiece, for applied machine simulation to NC Data of actuality aircraft parts of BULKHEAD and FRAME.
