This thesis introduced a model of diagnosing a company's quality management, and a process of achieving quality innovation based on the model. As for study methods, books and theses related to quality and process innovation were collected for investigation, a survey on internal employees to investigate major issues of quality and standard consciousness was conducted, and 5DP was discussed for balanced process analysis.

본 논문은 첨단 재료기술의 혁신유형을 분류하는 것이다. 기존의 혁신유형 분류에 관한 연구는 전 기술 혹은 전 산업에 포괄 적용하는 개념에서 접근하고 있어 산업기술별 혁신의 고유한 특수성이 기술혁신유형에 제대로 반영되지 못하고 있다. 이에, 본 논문에서는 첨단재료기술에 한정하여 기술혁신에 대한 이해를 증진하고 연구개발 및 정책수립의 기본 틀로 활용하는데 목적을 둔 4가지의 기술혁신 유형(공급재료혁신, 수요재료혁신, 공급공정혁신 및 수요공정혁신)을 제안하였다. 혁신유형의 도출과정은 첨단재료기술혁신의 특성, 원천, 과정 분석과 함께 사용자 산업과의 상호작용 분석에 근거하고 있다. 4가지 혁신 유형별로 특징과 사례분석을 통하여 연구개발 혹은 정책수립 등의 도구로서 활용가능성과 관련 시사점을 살펴보았다.

Six Sigma's concept has long been used as an effective way of restructuring the management process of a firm. In literature regarding Six Sigma, a number of successful cases were reported, where Six Sigma based management activities could enhance firm's strategic performance dramatically for year. However, there exist very few researches investigating the effect of Six Sigma on process innovation and quality improvement. Therefore this study propose a research model testing whether Six Sigma innovation could improve process innovation and quality improvement by industrial classification. We collected 332 valid questionnaires from expert in Six Sigma activities, and applied PLS. Empirical results showed that Six Sigma activities could contribute to process innovation and quality improvement.

The purpose of this study is to examine and analyze product innovation and process innovation as an indicator of innovation that affects the performance of small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Government policy as a moderator of the effect of innovation on performance. This research was conducted during the COVID-19 pandemic. The population in this study are SMEs that produce clothes and t-shirts in Indonesia. Data collection is done through questionnaires and direct interviews. Online questionnaires were given to the managers and business owners. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling based on certain conditions of the research object, and in this study 100 business units were selected. The result of loading factor correlation between indicator and latent construct is significant. Hypothesis which explored the linear relationship between the construct variables was tested. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was used. The results of this study indicate that there is a positive relationship between innovation and business performance, and government policies have an important role as a full moderator in this relationship. The study findings concluded that the government policies are an important instrument in supporting the development of SMEs by innovating product and process innovation.

본 연구는 제품혁신이 기업의 재무적 성과에 미치는 영향을 측정하고, 공정혁신, 조직혁신, 마케팅혁신이 갖는 조절효과를 실증 분석하였다. 이를 위하여 '2010년 기술혁신조사 : 제조업부분' 자료와 '한국신용평가정보'의 재무자료를 결합하여 위계적 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과 공정혁신, 조직혁신과 마케팅혁신 모두가 제품혁신 활동과 기업의 성과관계를 조절하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 기업규모 및 연구개발집약도에 따른 산업 기술 수준별 그룹을 나누어 추가분석을 시도하였다. 그 결과 중기업, 대기업의 경우, 제품혁신과 공정혁신이 재무적 성과인 매출액에 결정적인 역할을 수행하는 반면, 소기업의 경우, 제품혁신과 조직혁신이 재무적 성과인 매출액에 결정적인 역할을 수행하는 것으로 나타났다. 연구개발집약도에 따른 산업별 분석에서는 첨단기술 산업군에서는 마케팅혁신이 제품혁신과 더불어 성과를 향상시키는 혁신 유형으로 나타났다. 본 연구를 통해 기술혁신과 기업 성과와의 관계에서 기술혁신을 제품혁신, 공정혁신, 조직혁신과 마케팅혁신을 포함함으로써 기술혁신을 유형별로 세분화하였고 기업이 추구해야할 혁신 활동을 포괄적으로 살펴봄에 따라 기술혁신 간 영향관계를 새롭게 규명하였고 산업 기술 수준별, 기업 규모별 혁신과 성과 간의 관계를 살펴보았다.

The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship among innovation activities, innovation performance, and management performance of export firms. I first undertake a review of previous studies related to innovation activity, innovation performance, and export firms' innovation. Based on this, I set up a research model and hypotheses. First, The innovation activity is classified into product innovation activity, process innovation activity, and administrative innovation activity. Innovation performance is divided into product quality improvement and cost reduction. And the business performance is regarded as financial performance of export's firms. This study examined whether innovation activity affect innovation performance such as product quality improvement and cost reduction. In addition, I examined whether these innovation performance affects business performance (financial performance). To achieve this, a total of 368 questionnaires are used in this study and PLS (Partial Least Square) was used to analyze structural equation. As a result, this study shows that product innovation activity have a positive effect on product quality improvement, and process innovation activity also have a positive effect on product quality improvement. However, it was found that neither product innovation activity nor process innovation activity had an effect on cost reduction. And it was found that administrative innovation did not affect product quality improvement, but had a positive effect on cost reduction. Also, it was found that quality improvement, which is an innovation performance, did not affect the financial performance of export's firms, and cost reduction, which is an innovation performance, had a positive effect on the financial performance of the export's firms.

선도적으로 기술창출단계의 기술혁신에 성공하여 최초경로로 기술리더가 된 국내기업에 대한 혁신 연구는 새롭게 도전하려는 국내기업과 개발도상국기업에게 시행착오를 줄일 수 있는 시사점을 제공할 수 있다. 그러나 개발도상국기업의 기술창출단계 혁신에 대한 연구가 부족하며, 특히 프로세스혁신에 대한 연구는 제품혁신연구에 비해 더욱 부족한 상황이다. 본 연구는 기술창출단계의 프로세스 기술혁신 프로젝트를 대상으로 하는 탐색적 연구이다. 최초경로로 기술리더가 된 POSCO의 FINEX(파이넥스) 사례에서는 기술창출단계 혁신은 기술내재화단계 고도화의 연장선이라기보다는 높은 위험을 감수하는 최고경영층의 결단에 의해 시도되는 불연속적인 특성이 있으며, 기술창출단계 혁신을 시작하는 개발도상국기업이 일반적으로 초기에 직면하는 원천기술을 개발을 위한 기술역량의 부족은 원천기술을 개발 중인 선발자와의 보완적 기술협력을 통해 극복하였다. 그리고 선진국 경쟁자보다 뒤늦게 기술 개발을 시작하였지만 가장 먼저 상용화단계에 도달할 수 있었던 것은 기술개발 가속화(Speed-up)로 기술개발속도에 영향을 주는 세부요인을 파악하였다.

This paper examines a significant example of accumulation of technology in post war Japan - the development process of the videocasstte recorder (VCR) for home use, and the dynamic evolution process of the mass market. The purpose of analyzing the Japanese home VCR industry is to clarify how and why only the Japanese makers had succeeded in developing home VCR and dominated. the global mass market and to make clear the dynamic process of industrial evolution. This study found out the following facts; 1) Japanese inter-firm interactions in the VCR have been carried out by the structure of "the competition and cooperation among the engaged players" form the initial stage, to growing, and maturing stage. 2) The process of competition and cooperation produced the revolutionary innovation through a continuous systematic development process in the R&D phase. 3) The process of competition and cooperation accelerated the speed of technological progress and the rapid growth of the industry in the growing and maturing stage.

This paper describes a comprehensive approach to examine how technological innovation contributes to the renewal of a firm's competences through its dynamic and reciprocal relationship with R&D and product commercialization. Three theories of technology and innovation (the R&D and technological knowledge concept, product-process concept, technological interdependence concept) are used to relate technology and innovation to strategic management. Based on these theories, this paper attempts to identify the dynamic relationship between product innovation and process innovation using system dynamics by investigating that aspect of the dynamic changes in the closed feedback circulation structure in which R&D investments drive the accumulation of technological knowledge. Further, such knowledge accumulation actualizes product innovation and process innovation, subsequently resulting in an increase in productivity, customer satisfaction, profit generation, and.

The ERP system which has been adopted as a tool for integration of information systems and for innovation of business process. And it is regarded to be able to maximize the productivity of business process and achieve process innovation based on the best practice incorporated in the ERP. To achieve process innovation through ERP, strong sponsorship from top management and building consensus through the entire organization is required to be backed UP. There are many cases of the failure of Process Innovation due to reluctance of corporate members to change. In the result of the case study, it seems to be difficult to build the consensus of the related groups to ERP project. There are still argues after project, on whether the project was success or not. Through the AHP analysis for the success factors, it is explored that the reason is that several groups of the company had different expectation for the project. And to achieve the aimed process Innovation, the project members in the related departments should build the consensus of expectation on the project.
