경영시스템 도입 중소기업의 품질이행율 향상을 위한 품질기록 관리운영의 표준화 사례연구 (Introduction of Management System Case Study on Standardization of Quality Record Management to Improve Quality Performance Rate of SMEs)

  • Purpose: In an infinite market competition, companies are adopting management systems to gain a competitive advantage. The expectancy effect of the management system is management performance improvement and accurate measurements. These can be made through quality records with integrity and maintainability. This paper examines the operation of records management standards, which are records, storage and management standards for quality records to understand the needs of records management standards and empathize with their needs. Methods: This paper examines PEC's (Pields Engineering Co., Ltd.) specific processes and standards for integrating individual management systems and establishing records management standards. We also look at the specific features of the Search Tool and Document Storage Management Standards that support records management standards. Results: The integration process of PEC's individual management system consists of five steps. A PDCA-based process was established to erode the confusion and inefficiencies caused by overlap between individual management systems. Also, by accurately grasping corporate competence, PEC established a record management standard suitable for the characteristics of the company. PEC's records management standards are used as a useful standard for organizing quality records, and have an impact on management performance improvement. Conclusion: PEC's records management standards enable the verification of quality performance rates and performance measures. Companies can implement appropriate quality improvement strategies based on the numbers identified by introducing records management standards. Companies can succeed in improving management performance when operating quality management that combines performance measurement techniques and records management standards.

  • Recently $6{\sigma}$ quality control is an most important strategy to many enterprises in order to be a top company in the world, because it is an excellent scientific method to achieve the best quality control for their management and products. SY company is a small and medium one that has the quality problem for a long time such as occurring cracks on the surface of commutator at his assembly line while being assembled a rotor shaft and commutator of DC motor. This research was started to improve this problem by $6{\sigma}$ process, and as the results of this study, first, to find three vital fews, second, to get an achievement of about 21% improvement for the fracture strength of commutator, and third, to be recognized to change into $6{\sigma}$ quality control in SY company.

  • 본 연구는 제조 부문과 서비스 부문 간의 서로 다른 6시그마 프로젝트에 대해 분석하였으며 각 부문 별 8편씩 실제 프로젝트 사례를 바탕으로 서술하였다. 서술 단계는 6시그마 기법 중 DMAIC 방법을 기본으로 하였으며 최근 6시그마를 도입하고 있는 서비스 부문에 대해 제조 부문과의 차이점을 분석하여 향후 서비스 부문이 6시그마 도입하는 과정에서 문제점과 나아갈 방향을 제시하고자 한다.

  • As will be seen, this paper is tries that the research on the mathematical structure of Markov process and Markovian sequential decision process (the policy improvement iteration method,) moreover, that it analyze the logic and the characteristic of behavior of mathematical model of Markov process. Therefore firstly, it classify, on research of mathematical structure of Markov process, the forward equation and backward equation of Chapman-kolmogorov equation and of kolmogorov differential equation, and then have survey on logic of equation systems or on the question of uniqueness and existence of solution of the equation. Secondly, it classify, at the Markovian sequential decision process, the case of discrete time parameter and the continuous time parameter, and then it explore the logic system of characteristic of the behavior, the value determination operation and the policy improvement routine.

제조부문과 사무간접/서비스부문의 6시그마 프로세스 개선활동 비교분석 (A Comparative Analysis between Manufacturing and Transactional/Service Processes of Six Sigma Quality Improvement)

  • There are big differences in six sigma projects between manufacturing processes and transactional/service processes. This paper analyzed the differences between the two areas by examining 18 six sigma case studies in Korean companies. To characterize six sigma case studies, step-by-step questions and check criteria were developed based on 12 step DMAIC methodology. On the basis of those characterized data, the differences between two areas were analyzed. Significant differences were found in the number of CTQs, validation of measurement systems, methods to determine improvement objectives, the methods to elicit improvement plans and types of control systems. The most significant difference was that statistical tools were widely used in manufacturing processes, but qualitative tools were used in transactional/service processes during improvement phase.

연구품질 향상을 위한 프로세스 관점의 R&D 품질 진단 프레임워크 개발 (R&D Quality Diagnosis Framework Focusing on R&D Process)

  • Evaluating the performance of R&D Activity is complicated because it is hard to quantify the R&D results unlike the traditional manufacturing or service industries. Recently, to overcome this, process-focused evaluation methods applying the philosophy of quality into R&D environment have been introduced. However, these quality activities are mainly conducted without feedback system after the evaluation work is done. The aim of this study is to present a R&D quality diagnosis framework to obtain the improvement opportunities from R&D process perspective. The research is designed as follows : First, R&D standard process and R&D quality elements are derived from a literature review. Second, the diagnosis objects are obtained by investigating the R&D quality elements at each R&D steps. Third, a two-dimensional diagnosis model, which enables the objective measurement of the 'system compatibility' and 'accomplish level', is presented. The proposed method can provide an effective way to find opportunities for efficient quality improvement of R&D process.

병원의 활동기준원가를 이용한 총체적 질관리 모형 및 질비용 산출 모형 개발 (Development of the Model for Total Quality Management and Cost of Quality using Activity Based Costing in the Hospital)

  • Healthcare service organizations can apply the cost of quality(COQ) model as a method to evaluate a service quality improvement project such as Total Quality Management (TQM). COQ model has been used to quantify and evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of TQM project through estimation between cost and benefit in intervention for a quality Improvement to provide satisfied services for a customer, and to identify a non value added process. For estimating cost of quality, We used activities and activity costs based on Activity Based Costing(ABC) system. These procedures let the researchers know whether the process is value-added by each activity, and identify a process to require improvement in TQM project. Through the series of procedures, health care organizations are service organizations can identify a problem in their quality improvement programs, solve the problem, and improve their quality of care for their costumers with optimized cost. The study subject was a quality improvement program of the department of radiology department in a hospital with n bed sizes in Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA). The principal source of data for developing the COQ model was total cases of retaking shots for diagnoses during five months period from December of the 1998 to April of the 1999 in the department. First of the procedures, for estimating activity based cost of the department of diagnostic radiology, the researchers analyzed total department health insurance claims to identify activities and activity costs using one year period health insurance claims from September of the 1998 to August of the 1999. COQ model in this study applied Simpson & Multher's COQ(SM's COQ) model, and SM's COQ model divided cost of quality into failure cost with external and internal failure cost, and evaluation/prevention cost. The researchers identified contents for cost of quality, defined activities and activity costs for each content with the SM's COQ model, and finally made the formula for estimating activity costs relating to implementing service quality improvement program. The results from the formula for estimating cost of quality were following: 1. The reasons for retaking shots were largely classified into technique, appliances, patients, quality management, non-appliances, doctors, and unclassified. These classifications by reasons were allocated into each office doing re-taking shots. Therefore, total retaking shots categorized by reasons and offices, the researchers identified internal and external failure costs based on these categories. 2. The researchers have developed cost of quality (COQ) model, identified activities by content for cost of quality, assessed activity driving factors and activity contribution rate, and calculated total cost by each content for cost for quality, except for activity cost. 3. According to estimation of cost of quality for retaking shots in department of diagnostic radiology, the failure cost was ₩35,880, evaluation/preventive cost was ₩72,521, two times as much as failure cost. The proportion between internal failure cost and external failure cost in failure cost is similar. The study cannot identify trends on input cost and quality improving in cost of qualify over the time, because the study employs cross-sectional design. Even with this limitation, results of this study are much meaningful. This study shows possibility to evaluate value on the process of TQM subjects using activities and activity costs by ABC system, and this study can objectively evaluate quality improvement program through quantitative comparing input costs with marginal benefits in quality improvement.

소프트웨어 프로세스 개선을 위한 CMM과 ISO9001간의 비교 연구 (A Study on the Comparison of CMM and ISO9001 for Software Process Improvement)

  • Recently, CMM have been recognized as a critical factor to validate the competitiveness of software organizations, even if the organizations have already achieved the ISO9001 certification. Furthermore, the new version of ISO9001:2000 is being required instead of ISO9001:1994. Both CMM and ISO9001 have a common point that they pursuit quality improvement for the organizations processes and products. Therefore, it is important to understand the similarities of specific requirements between the two models in software organizations which attempt to employ both of the models. From this background, this paper compares CMM and ISO9001 by considering the versions in 1994 and 2000 of ISO9001. The results of this research are likely to help software organizations ma]fe a decision for a strategy to adopt CMM and ISO9001.

건설 공사단계에서 수급자 중심의 품질확보방안 (The Voluntary Assurance of Quality by Contractors in the Construction Phase)

  • 현재 국내 건설 산업은 고층화, 대형화 되어감에 따라 새로운 기술 개발로 비약적인 발전과 함께 품질향상을 위해 품질관리기법 및 품질관리제도 개선을 하고 있지만, 기술개발에 비해 건축물의 품질향상수준은 미흡한 수준이다. 반면에, 사용자의 의식변화로 건설품질에 대한 관심이 증가됨에 따라 요구품질수준이 높아지고 있다. 정부에서는 책임감리제도의 시행 및 해외업체의 국내 감리업무진출 허용 등의 품질제도를 강화하였고 및 민간부문에서도 사전자격심사제도의 시행 및 ISO 9000시리즈의 품질보증 등을 통한 품질 향상을 꾀하고 있지만, 현행 건설공사는 설계, 재료, 공법 등이 이미 확정된 발주자의 공사 시방서에 의한 공사를 수행함에 따라 정해진 사항의 이행 여부만을 판단할 뿐 수급자의 품질 개선을 위한 기술 개발의 필요성 및 기회를 제공하지 못하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 건설 공사단계에서 수급자가 자발적으로 품질확보를 할 수 있는 지불규정제도의 업무프로세스와 제도개선 방안을 제시하였다.

공동주택 하자관리 업무프로세스 개선 (Business Process Improvement of Defect Management in Apartment Housing Project)

  • 최근 주택보급률의 상승과 공동주택 물량의 증가로 인하여 공동주택에 대한 건설기업의 공사 비중이 높아지고 있으며, 공급자 위주에서 수요자 중심으로 분양시장이 변화함에 따라 고객 가치 향상을 위한 고객접점의 하자관리의 중요성이 부각되고 있다. 그러나 국내 공동주택태 하자관리는 하자관리 업무 프로세스 관리 미흡,하자관리 조직의 관리 부족, 하자 정보 피드백 부족, 시공단계의 하자관리를 위한 대비부족으보 동일 하자 요인이 반복적으로 발생하며 고객이 요구하는 품질 및 만족도에 부합하지 못하는 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구의 목적은 이러한 하자관리의 문제점을 해결하고자 하자관리 업무 프로세스 개선 모델을 제시한다. 본 연구에서 제시된 하자관리 업무 프로세스 개선 모델은 하자관리와 품질관리의 통합적 관리를 통하여 정보의 피드백을 실현시키며 하자관리와 품질관리의 업무프로세스를 정렬한다. 또한 부적합 처리 업무를 개선함으로써 하자 관리 관련 업무의 질적 향상을 도모하고 궁극적으로 품질 향상을 통한 건설업체의 고객 만족도 및 이미지 제고에도 크게 기여할수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
