This study identified the relationship between adolescents' academic helplessness and smartphone dependence and verified the parallel mediating effect of self-esteem and friendships. To this end, the fourth data of the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey 2018 (KCYPS) conducted by the Korea Youth Policy Institute were used, and 2,244 were used for analysis after removing 346 adolescents who responded to the survey. For data analysis, the statistical package programs SPSS WIN 25.0 and Hayes (2013)'s PROCESS Macro V 3.5 were used, and the following results were derived. First, adolescents' academic helplessness had a positive (+)(+) effect on their dependence on smartphones. Second, self-esteem was found to mediate the relationship between adolescents' academic helplessness and smartphone dependence. Third, it was found that friend relationships mediate the relationship between adolescents' academic helplessness and smartphone dependence. Based on these results, practical and policy suggestions to reduce adolescents' dependence on smartphones and follow-up studies to overcome the limitations of research were proposed.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the moderated mediation effect of an only-child status on the mediating effect of hope in the relationship between social support and life satisfaction of college students. The participants for this study were 302 undergraduates selected from a university in Guangdong province of China under a purposive sampling way. SPSS PC+ Win. ver. 25.0 and SPSS PROCESS macro ver. 4.2 were used to analyze the data. The applied statistical techniques were frequency analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and moderated mediation effect analysis. The results were as follows: First, there were positive and significant correlations between social support, hope and life satisfaction. Second, as a result of the moderated mediating effect analysis, the indirect effect of social support on life satisfaction through hope was higher for only children than for other children. Based on this, suggestions were made to improve life satisfaction.

This study examined the effect of store fit perceived by consumers for improved signboards on visit intention to store, and the mediating effect of informativeness, entertainment, and irritation. The survey was conducted from November 7 to November 18, 2022 with 150 undergraduate and graduate students who had experience visiting areas where signboard improvement projects were implemented. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 26.0 and PROCESS Macro 4.2. The results showed that store fit had a positive effect on visit intention to store by mediating informativeness and entertainment. This results suggest that practitioners of local governments and government agencies and store owners should consider store fit of signboards as important when participating in signboard improvement projects.

This study aimed to analyze the relationships among the middle-aged women's gender role conflict, resilience, and psychological well-being, and to examine the mediating model of resilience on gender role conflict and psychological well-being. Data were collected from July 28 to August 5, 2021 for 302 middle-aged women aged 40-65 years. The Gender Role Conflict Scale specialized for middle-aged Korean women, internal traits subscale of Ahn's Resilience Scales, and Ryff's Psychological Well-being Scale were used for this study. PROCESS Macro 3.5 Model 4 was used to analyze the mediating effect. Results revealed that the middle-aged women's gender role conflict was negatively correlated with resilience and psychological well-being. And, the middle-aged women's resilience was positively correlated with psychological well-being. Because both the direct effect of the middle-aged women's gender role conflict on psychological well-being and its indirect effect through resilience were statistically significant, it was found that the middle-aged women's resilience was partially mediating their gender role conflict and psychological well-being.

This study was conducted to investigate the mediating effect of academic stress on the relationship between smartphone overdependence and the communication competence of nursing students. The research subjects were nursing students in cities A and Y. The research period was from March 2 to March 9, 2023, and the number of subjects analyzed was 139. Descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation were analyzed using SPSS/WIN 26.0, Process macro program the collected data. The results of the mediating effect of academic stress on the relationship between smartphone dependence and communication competence showed that academic stress (β=.226, p=.005) mediated the effect on the relationship between smartphone dependence and communication competence(Z=-3.131, p=.002). As a result, the combined explanatory power of the variables on nursing student's communication competence was 15.4%. In addition, in order to reduce nursing students' smartphone overdependence, it is necessary to educate them about smartphone use and develop self-control, provide interventions to cope with academic stress, and develop intervention programs to improve communication competence.

This study aimed to confirm the conditional effect of goal difficulty on the relationship between self-efficacy, career identity, and career commitment of workers in domestic companies. A survey targeting 500 employees of domestic companies was conducted to measure self-efficacy, career identity, career commitment, and goal difficulty. Data were analyzed using MPlus and SPSS PROCESS Macro. The results are as follows. First, self-efficacy was found to have a significant positive effect on career identity and career commitment. Additionally, career identity was found to have a significantly positive effect on career commitment. Second, the mediating effect of career identity on the relationship between self-efficacy and career commitment was significant and moderated by the level of goal difficulty. Based on the above research results, the academic and practical implications are presented.

This study was conducted to confirm the effect of interpersonal ability on college life adjustment of nursing students and the parallel multiple mediating effect of emotional intelligence and self-efficacy. Participants in this study were 130 nursing students at a college. Data were collected from 24 July to 1 August 2023, and analyzed by descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation, and PROCESS macro model 4 using SPSS/WIN 27.0. As a result of the study, interpersonal ability was positively correlated with emotional intelligence, college life adjustment and self-efficacy. Interpersonal ability had a significant total effect(B=0.48, p<.001) on college life adjustment. And the mediating effect of emotional intelligence(B=0.20, 95% bootstrap CI=0.06~0.36) and self-efficacy(B=0.17, 95% bootstrap CI=0.05~0.31) was also significant. Therefore, it will be necessary to develop and research various training programs that can enhance emotional intelligence and self-efficacy together in developing programs to help nursing students improve their college life adjustment.

The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between role ambiguity, job burnout, and organizational effectiveness among nurses working in comprehensive nursing care service units and to investigate the mediating effect of job burnout on the relationship between role ambiguity and organizational effectiveness. The participants were 149 nurses working in 10 general hospitals. Data were collected using a self-report questionnaire and analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics 25.0 and Model 4 of the PROCESS macro program. The results reveal that organizational effectiveness has a significant negative relationship with role ambiguity and job burnout, with job burnout completely mediating the effect of role ambiguity on organizational effectiveness. These findings suggest that interventions to reduce job burnout should be considered to enhance organizational effectiveness.

The present study aimed to examine the relationship between person-job fit, work meaningfulness, job involvement, and career satisfaction, which have recently gained attention from employees and HR professionals. Based on previous studies, we logically established a path from person-job fit to work meaningfulness, job involvement, and ultimately career satisfaction. This study sought to validate these dual mediating effect. A survey was conducted with 283 employees, and the data were analyzed using SPSS 21 and Process Macro. The main findings of the study are as follows: person-job fit, work meaningfulness, job involvement, and career satisfaction showed positive correlations. The dual mediating effects of work meaningfulness and job involvement on the relationship between person-job fit and career satisfaction were statistically significant. These results imply that in order to prevent employee turnover and ensure the organization's sustained performance, it is necessary to design jobs in a way that allows employees to perceive their work as suitable and aligned with their characteristics, thereby enhancing positive psychological factors such as work meaningfulness, job involvement, and career satisfaction. The conclusions provide implications, limitations, and suggestions for future research.

This study aims to provide basic data to increase the happiness of college students by verifying whether a growth mindset moderates the mediating effect of teachers' autonomy support for students in the relationship between academic achievement and happiness. The survey subjects were intentionally sampled from 396 engineering students attending a university in Guangzhou who performed a business practice project. The questionnaire method was used to collect data, and the collected data was analyzed using SPSS PC+ Win. 27.0 and PROCESS macro 4.2. The applied statistical techniques were frequency, reliability, correlation, and moderated mediation effect analysis. The research results are as follows. First, there was a significant positive correlation between academic achievement, teachers' autonomy support, growth mindset, and happiness. Second, a growth mindset played a role in increasing the impact of academic achievement on happiness through teachers' autonomy support. Therefore, it was confirmed that a growth mindset increases the mediating effect of teachers' autonomy support in the relationship between academic achievement and happiness. Based on the research results, measures to improve the happiness of college students were suggested.
