  • Suncheon City Regeneration Project is known as the concept of cultural residents. Through the previous projects, the residents' capabilities have been improved, and the projects have been carried out according to their strategies. For this reason, participants in urban regeneration projects are important. The purpose of this study is to actually identify the 'rescue center' and 'direct relationship' with the analysis utilizing the characteristics of social networks NetMiner solution of the participants, who led the project, Suncheon. Surveys and interviews were conducted for participants, and the characteristics of social networks were analyzed in time series to quantify and visualize the results. As a result of the analysis, social networks were changed among the participants before and after the urban regeneration project. Initially, loose networks were denser over time, and initially networks formed only around participants were expanded over time. Network analysis has revealed that the system is strengthening with urban regeneration projects in the form of public and public-private cooperation. This highlights the need for a city-centered urban regeneration strategy centered on people and shows that a dense network of participants can be a success factor.

  • Despite the PB diffusion introduced as a strategic competitive factor from the change of a retailing business, the study of PB perceived quality in a customer aspect is poor. Therefore, this study led the influential factors to retailer attribute and product attribute through overall analysis. Also, the study found the influential attributes affecting the perceived quality and analysed the influential power linking to customer satisfaction and preference through the perceived quality. The examined results of the study have known that each attribute links to customer satisfaction via the only perceived quality. The strategic PB sales advantage should be achieved as giving customers the overall perceived quality, and has shown that it can increase the customer preference for PB.

  • This paper aims to present a prospective trend to establish a proper CALS conception and an efficient CALS environment in Korea.. It is crucial at this point for Korea to develop a comprehensive CALS conception which considers our present economic and social situation, national security, and our national emotion. Korean CALS has been developed and led mainly by the government and private industry. It is now necessary to improve CALS conception in Korea by making CALS standard more interchangeable among international as well as domestic business fields through EDI and the automation of the industries along with the government. In this regard, this paper proposes three potential methods to accomplish this goal and discuss each of them in detail. First, we suggest to establish a proper CALS introduction policy on the government level. We propose an introduction policy with three phases such as introduction, spreading and target which will cover through the year 1996 to 2007. Second. we suggest to establish a proper CALS standardization policy by improving the acquisition of digital data and process, and modernizing infrastructure. Third, we suggest that the government should amend and enforce the necessary laws and acts for more efficient CALS implementation in Korea. Government should arrange for these acts to be applied not optionally but obligatorily to Korean enterprises so that they survive the harsh and competitive world market in the upcoming 21th century.

But Change on Most of the mental health facilities have been focused on quantitative increase. So, changes in mental health facilities due to changes in mental health policy are needed for the study. This study investigate to the mental health facility system through this changes. Methods: In order to determine the flow of Mental health policy in Korea the mental health laws and reports were investigated Results: the result of this study can be summarized into two points. Korea's mental health policy has changed from the rehabilitation of the mentally ill to the prophylaxis of all the people. So, mental health facilities are changing form rehabilitation facilities in the private sector to public mental health center. Especially, mental medical institutions and mental health center are changing to requirement for the needs of the times. Mental medical institutions are changing from inpatient to outpatient and mental health center are changing from the rehabilitation of the mentally ill to the prophylaxis of all the people. • The methods of selection through observations and recommendations were introduced in the process of recruiting new students for the science education institutes for the gifted attached to 25 universities recently. This paper itemized the methods of screening through observations and recommendations. This paper also analyzed the problems with the methods and attempted to create plans for their improvement. The methods of selection through observations and recommendations led to the positive results that students' usual activities and attitudes in the classroom were reflected on the evaluation and that the cost of their private lessons was also reduced. However, the methods showed a few problems that need to be corrected. We point out problems occurring with examining their documents for submission and interviews. It was not easy to grade candidates' gifts, creativity, potential and development within the contents of the documents and the limited time of conducting interviews. On the plans for the developments of the implemented methods of selection through observations and recommendations, we have several suggestions. The chances for teachers' in-service training of learning the methods of selection through observations and recommendations need to be expanded. The interview needs to be enhanced and to have the same weight as the document screening. To secure the continuity of the education for the gifted, the clear guidelines from the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology along with the cooperation of the education institutes for the gifted are essential.

  • In the modem society of Japan, specially before and after the World War II, one of the most important problem is socially to build housing of working classes. In those days, Ken Ichiura had been led the dwelling of modem Japanese architecture. He had worked in wide spheres of action like private residence, public housing, collective housing area and urban planning for about fifty years. But until now, because studies on public housing of Japan has been discussed only aspect of architectural design, there was almost no study about Ken Ichiura who acted in practical affairs. So this study aims to consider about the Ken Ichiura's research on dwelling and the relation with the then social circumstance. It was summarized as four details of Ken Ichiura's activities on Dwellings before the end of World War II. First, he proposed half-government-supervised system by economic reason on provision of dwellings. Second, he proposed dry construction system by material and structural reason on economic and stability supply. Third, he proposed standardization and industrialization by economic reason on industrialization form material to construction of industry. And the last, he also proposed standard plan and standard design by economical and mass production supply dwellings during the war.

  • With the recognition of nanotechnology as one of the future strategic technologies, the R&D efforts have been performed under exclusive supports of governments and private sectors. At present, nanotechnology is at the focus of research and public attention in almost every advanced country including USA, Japan, and many others in EU. Keeping tracks of such technical trends, center for nanoscale mechatronics and manufacturing (CNMM) was established in 2002 as a part of national nanotechnology promotion policy led by ministry of science and technology (MOST) in Korea. It will hold widespread potential applications in electronics, optical electronics, biotechnology, micro systems, etc, with the promises of commercial visibility and competitiveness. In this paper, wafer scale multilayer nanoimprint lithography technology which is well-known the next generation lithography, roll-typed nanoimprint lithography (R-NIL), roll-typed liquid transfer imprint lithography (R-LTIL), the key technology for nanomanufacturing and nanoscale measurement technology will be introduced. Additionally, its applications and some achievements such as solar cell, biosensor, hard disk drive, and MOSFET, etc by means of the developed multilayer nanoimprint lithography system are introduced.

  • The objective of the research was to study the determinants affecting the decision to study nautical science program within a Thai maritime institute in preparation for working post-graduation as a ship officer on a merchant ship. The samples are classified by institute, academic year, cumulative score level, domicile, and parent's monthly income. The total sample of study was 386 Thai merchant marine students. The data collection method was a one to five rating scale questionnaire. The statistical methods applied in analyzing the data were percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, one way analysis of variance and a Sheffe's test. The study shows seven factors that influenced the decision in descending order; expectations, tuition and scholarships, selection system, quality of the institute, background and private capability, generality of the institute and external influences on the decision. The decision to select an institute was classified by institute and revealed that different institutes had distinct determinants that led to the decision. The students were from The Merchant Marine Training Center and from The International Maritime College, Kasetsart University were differences. There were no dissimilarity between academic year, cumulative score level, domicile, and parent's monthly income.
