How Human Resource Agility Improves Distribution of Human Resource Performance at Private Universities in Indonesia

  • Purpose of this study is to examine how human resources agility affects the distribution of performance lecturers and education staff at private universities in Indonesia. Sample and data in this research is 389 respondents from 265.000 lecturers and academic workers in 3115 Private universities in Indonesia. Methodology in this study used the Structural Equation Model to analyze how human factors agility such as creativity, focus, effectivity, and efficiency have an influence on agility and performance. Results show that agility plays a very important role in improving the performance of lecturers and staff at private universities in Indonesia. It was found that human factors agility, where indicators such as creativity, focus, effectivity, and efficiency have an influence on the agility and performance of lecturers and staff at private universities in Indonesia. Conclusion from this research agility factors is important to improve the distribution of performance Lecturers and Staff's on Private University in Indonesia. Hopefully, in further research to other researcher add some other important variables such as the working environment and spirit of leadership in influencing agility as well as the performance of teachers and staff at Private Universities in Indonesia.

학교시설의 민자공급에 따른 학교시설관련 기술관료조직 제도개선에 관한 연구 (The Study on the Development of the Technocrat Organization Structures under the PFI Implementation of the Public Educational Facilities)

  • Korean government implemented the Build-Transfer-Lease (BTL) mechanism since 2005 as one of the privatization methods to procure the social infrastructure with private investment. The mechanism was originally prepared 10 provide such public properties as education facilities, child-care facilities, old generation recuperation facilities, medical welfare facilities, military personnel's apartments, environment facilities, and lease apartments. Since 2005, a total of 13.5 trillion won-valued private fund has been directed to the public educational facilities, which occupies 58% of the total private investment in the facilities of the seven categories. However, many officials in the local public entities have anticipated that the local entities need to be restructured or downsized because of the privatization in stead of providing the educational facilities by governmental finance. The main objective of this study is to identify the appropriate technocrat organization structures to manage the privatization procedures.

항만관리제도 개선에 관한 연구 -우리나라 항만공사를 중심으로- (A Study on the Improvement of Port Administration System: Focused on the Port Authority of Korea)

  • Port Authority in Korea does not have financial independence nor fair recruitment practices, thus the prospects of the establishment of the Port Authority is not adequate. Therefore independent and effective port administration cannot be achieved. To overcome this situation, this paper examines the port administration system in Korea and identifies its problems. This paper then provides an 'modeling of Analytical Hierarchy structure' for evaluation. An alternative solution is provided by carrying out a public survey, analysing the significance of the evaluation factor using the techniques of the Analytical Hierarchy Process. The significance of profitability was identified. The role of central government is significant when assessing the public service function of port administration; and the role of the private company is significant when assessing the independence. In addition, the private company is significant when assessing profitability. The private company is the alternative for port administration in Korea, based on the evaluation of various alternatives.

대학교육비 지출 실태와 대학교육비가 가계재무에 미치는 영향 (Household Expenditures for University Education and Their Effects on Household Finance)

  • The purpose of this study was to find the characteristics of university education expenditure and how university education expenditure affected household finance such as total household expenditure after excluding education expenditure, savings, and debts respectively. The data were drawn from the 8th Korean Labor & Income Panel Study conducted by the Korean Labor Institute, and 563 households with children attending university were selected. The t-test, F-test (Duncan's multiple range test as post hoc test), OLS, and Heckman's two-step estimation were utilized by SAS 9.1 and SPSS 12.0 for Windows. The results were as follows: First, average annual tuition was found to be 6,170,000won(21.5% of total annual household expenditures) and average annual private education expenses were 4,920,000won(15.9% of total annual household expenditures). Second, the higher the household income levels, the more spent on university education, whereas the higher the household income level, the lower the household expenditure-to-university education ratio. Third, tuition and private education expenses had a negative impact on household expenditures after excluding education expenditure.

민간 의료기관에서 보건교육사의 활동 영역과 능력 개발 (The Roles and Professional Competencies of Health Education Specialists in Private Health Care Setting)

  • Objectives: In health care setting, patient education and health promotion services are inexpensive and effective initiatives to change health behavior due to use medical service resources and personnel. This study performed to define the responsibilities and competencies of health education specialist in private health care setting. For our suggestion, we reviewed regulatory, recommendation, and programs related to health education and promotion in clinics and hospitals. Results and Conclusion: The health promoting hospital and health services in Europe and innovative hospitals of community health promotion in the U.S. were examples of approaches that supply target groups with health promotion services in health care setting. The National Commission for Health Education Credentialing has suggested the specified responsibilities and competencies of health education specialist in health care setting according to their general duty. Considering the recommendation of the NCHEC, our suggestion included: 1) the three kinds of job scope, 2) the major targets, 3) the specified responsibilities and competencies, and 4) the available health promotion programs in clinic and hospital setting. The suggestion will contribute to the development of job market for health education specialist and to the cooperation with community health resources in health promotion services and comprehensive health care.

한국 공사연금제도 협력을 위한 정보인프라 구축 방향 (Study on the Construction of Information Infrastructure for the Cooperation of Public and Private Pension Schemes in Korea)

  • 본 연구는 공·사연금 제도의 협력 활성화의 필요성, 이를 위한 국내외 제도의 사례를 살펴보고, 한국에 적합한 공사연금 협력의 정보인프라 구축방안을 제시하려 하였다. 선진국은 최근 노후소득보장제도의 다층화에 주력하고 있으며, 연금교육과 정보서비스는 공사연금 협력의 핵심 요소로 등장하고 있다. 현재 한국에서 다층노후소득보장 체계의 틀은 갖추어졌으나 내실화되지 못하고 있다. 특히 연금제도에 대한 잘못된 인식과 정보가 연금제도의 정착에 큰 지장을 초래하고 있다. 이를 개선하기 위해 본 연구는 국가주도형인 아일랜드과 뉴질랜드, 민관협력형인 네덜란드, 민관분화형인 스웨덴의 사례를 분석하였다. 이 연구는 공사연금 협력의 기본인프라를 구축하기 위해 연금기관 간 정보교류와 협력의 촉진, 영세사업장 등의 공동실사체계 구축, 통합연금정보 서비스의 활성화를 제안하였다. 또한 네덜란드형의 민관협력형을 참고하여 '공사연금협회'의 구축을 제안하였다. 공사연금협회는 민간기관과 공적기관이 파트너로써 구축하고, 연금제도의 정보, 교육, 홍보와 관련된 모든 서비스를 통합, 관리한다.

  • In this study we overviewed the early private learning for children in Korea. For last 20 years the number of children who were involved in it increased and the starting age had been lowered. Now more than 90% of the children are exposed to it before going to school. Mean number of private lesson per child is between three to four (33.6%). 32.7% of preschoolers take more than 5 kinds of private lesson per week. Because of the frantic enthusiasm of the parents, most preschools and kindergartens are providing extra curricula in their programs. The main problem of the learning in Korea is that it does not run by government or universities with educational purposes but by commercial companies for profit.

  • The study is aimed to investigate the current status of ESD(Education for Sustainable Development) programs in private sector(businesses) carried out in Korea since UN DESD was launched in 2005, For this purpose we conducted a questionnaire survey and case studies on those companies who have supposedly pursued sustainability management Results of questionnaire surveys showed that those in charge of writing sustainability reports in companies had an extremely high understanding of SO, but were not well aware of ESD. These businesses started to pursue sustainable management due to global trends and decisions of CEOs, and most of them had divisions that took charge of or are responsible for sustainable management Sustainability issues that they mainly dealt with were corporate social responsibility, energy and climate change, but other issues were being covered, too. Internal stakeholders got involved in projects related to sustainability from the planning stage. Learning on sustainable management was primarily made through information delivery, and education programs were usually conducted for staff members and executives. Those who cooperated on their sustainable development projects were mostly local communities, universities, etc. They had few ESD programs that they directly developed and carried out, and few cases of ESD-related cooperation; and in those few cases, their partners were often elementary/middle/high schools and universities. Results of ESD case studies and questionnaire surveys showed that businesses dealt with various issues of sustainable development in addition to corporate social responsibility and diversified education programs were carried out inside these companies, Business themselves, therefore, need to be considered and researched in further detail as important targets of ESD as well as supporters or cooperation partners on ESD programme.

학생들의 사교육 경험에 대한 연구 (A Study on Experience of Student's Private Education)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze cognition of middle school students on an educational institute of life. For this purpose, the three times of in-depth interviews which were performed the subjects, 6 middle boy's school student. The data passed through process of three dimension, abstraction of idea, categorization, interpretation. In this process, were discovered four category of educational institute of life. It was pilgimage, activity, system, and compare with school. The major results of this study were follows: first, an educational institute of life is natural of life to student and they accept the life themselves not coercion gradully. second, study of educational institute is repetitional and many and only for school test. third, system of educational institute is concenturated for study, in this point, students distinguish school with educational institute. fourth, in compare with school, educational institute is more comfortable than school. Also, educational institute take care of student more than school.

초등학교 저학년 자녀에 대한 어머니의 교육투자행동 (Education Investment Behavior of Mothers about Children of the Lower Greades in Primary School)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate investment behavior of mothers who have children of the lower grades in primary school and the effects of the variables. The subjects of this study were 454 mothers who have children of lower grades in primary school in Seoul. Statistics used for data analysis were frequency, mean, percentage, multiple regression. The households which paid their money for private education investment cost was 182.543 won a month and the mean of time use of mother for child education was 125 minutes a day. The most influencing variable on money investment to private education investment behavior was family income and on time investment to it was influence of reference group.
