  • Today the automobile has been changed from a mechanical system to an electronic control system fly the development of the electronic technology. In the automobile body, most of these electronic control devices are networked and managed fully by the CAN protocol. But, when a network system is overloaded, unexpected transmission delay for relative low priority objects occurs due to the static priority definition of the CAN protocol. To resolve this problem, this paper proposes a dynamic precedence queue mechanism that creates a queue for the low priority object and its relevant objects to be transmitted, which becomes urgent in an overloaded network system to keep the maximum allowable time delay. For the generated queue, the highest priority is assigned to transmit the queued objects within the shortest time. The mechanism is implemented in the logical link layer of CAN, which does not require any modification of the old CAN hardware. Effectiveness of the proposed mechanism is verified by the real experiments with an automobile network system.

  • Purpose: Compared to general fires of the same size, underground parking lot fires are more likely to cause human and property damage and are not easy for firefighters to extinguish fire and save lives. This study attempted to find out how to secure the evacuation safety of parking lot users based on changes in the evacuation simulation behavior mode applied to evaluate the evacuation safety of the object. Method: Simulation for each CASE was performed using the Pathfinder program. Result: it was found that the higher the reference value, the higher the evacuation time, and Behavior showed an increase in time in SFPE mode rather than Steering mode. Priority was able to confirm an increase in time in priority designation rather than non-priority designation. Conclusion: The Required Safe Egress Time (RSET) for evaluating the evacuation safety of underground parking lots and the building evacuation design to ensure evacuation safety should be evaluated and reflected separately from Simulation's Behaviour Mode and Priority.

  • In this paper, we deal with the problem of modeling of agent-based robot manufacturing cell. Its role is becoming increasingly important in automated manufacturing systems. For Object Oriented & Queueing Petri Nets (OO&QPNs), an extended formalism for the combined quantitative and qualitative analysis of different systems is used for structure and performance analysis of mobile robotic cell. In the case study, the OO&QPN model of a mobile robotic cell is represented and analyzed, considering multi-class parts, non-preemptive priority and alternative routing. Finally, the comparison of performance values between Shortest Process Time (SPT) rule and First Come First Serve (FCFS) rule is suggested. In general, SPT rule is most suitable for parts that have shorter processing time than others.

  • In health care, the process of resource allocation becomes a controversial process of rationing, as scarce resources are allocated between the numerous health care interventions. Especially for the last few years, decisions to define and expand the benefit package of National Health Insurance have always become the object of fierce criticism. It is partly because we have not reached a collective agreement as to what the most important criteria for spending priorities are. This paper considers the procedures and the principles which could be used to determine rationing in health care, and emphasizes the need to have explicit principles which determine patient access to care and to have an evidence base to inform rationing decisions. Also, the need to set up a public committee is suggested to take rationing decisions on behalf of government and NHS and to present them as evidence-based decisions.

  • In this paper we designed a high speed wireless multiple access protocol, which is suitable for future multimedia wireless LAN systems which support high quality video teleconferencing, telephony and graphic databases. In the proposed protocol, Slotted-ALOHA protocol is used for transmitting random data packets and the packet reservation multiple access(PRMA) protocol for transmitting periodic data packets. The use of minislot is introduced for the reservation scheme. In order to measure the performance characteristic of the proposed protocol, a simulator is designed using an object oriented programming language, C++, and an exhaustive simulation study is carried out. From the simulation results, it is observed that the proposed protocol and the existing PRMA protocol have almost the same delay characteristic when network traffic is low. However, the proposed protocol is superior to the PRMA protocol when traffic becomes higher. The proposed protocol and the results can be utilized for the design of the wireless access systems and future broadband wireless LANs.

  • It is the most important object of real-time computing to make real-time tasks keep their given time conditions. In this paper, we implemented BCC(Basic Concurrency Constraint) scheduler which is provided as an essential element of TMO(Time-triggered Message-triggered Object) model, and TMO Supporting Library that supports object-oriented design for TMO. BCC scheduler is a means to design timeliness-guaranteed computing, and it predicts the start of SpMs first, and then it makes the execution of SvMs deferred when it is predicted that any SpM begins to run currently. In this way, BCC is able to prevent collisions between SpM and SvM, and it gives higher priority to SpMs than SvMs.

  • Most booking techniques make a reservation without customer's preference on internet. These techniques have booking problems not to improve customer's preference in the service industry. We have tried to apply object-based scheduling technique to performing art reservation. For customer's satisfaction, we have considered customer's preferences in the reservation scheduling. The scheduling technique for performing art reservation proposed in this thesis is based on object-oriented concepts. To consider the over all satisfaction, the events of every object are alloted to the sitting plan board along its priority. To minimize backtracking or not to fail the allotment of events, we have scheduled to rise customer's preference in the scheduling.

  • Complex scheduling problems are related to planning, scheduling, constraint satisfaction problems, object-oriented concepts, and agent systems. Human preference-driven scheduling technique was to solve complex scheduling problems using constraint satisfaction problems and object-oriented concepts. We have tried to apply human preference-driven scheduling technique to reservation problems. For customer's satisfaction, we have considered customer's preferences in the reservation scheduling. The technique of reservation scheduling proposed in this thesis is based on object-oriented concepts. 1'o consider the over all satisfaction, the events of every object are alloted to the board along its priority. Constraints to reservation scheduling are classified to global and local. The definition of board and information of every event are global constraints and the preferences to object's board slots are local constraints. We have applied look-ahead technology to reservation scheduling in order to minimize backtracking not to fail the allotment of events.

  • The object of risk assesment is to prevent the accident from arising. The main reason for risk assesment of construction work is to determine priority order of improvement plan about risky work. Formwork is a complicated process that determines the total duration of apartment construction, and occupies 10∼15% of total construction expense, and 17% of serious accidents occur during formwork. So, formwork occupies very importment roles in work sites, economical efficiency and safety. We need to identify the work type with a high risk of accidents, and to establish suitable safety counterplan and implement intensive safety management.

  • Objective of the research is to put the vast and complex fault tracking knowledge of human experts in semiconductor production line into the knowledge base of computer system. We mined the fault tracking knowledge of domain experts(engineers of production line) for the construction of knowledge base of the expert system. Object oriented fact models which increase the extensibility and reusability have been built. The rules are designed to perform the fault diagnosis of the items in production device. We have exploited the evidence accumulation method to assign check priority in rules. The major contribution is in the overall design and implementation of the nile base and related facts of the expert system in object oriented paradigm for the application of the system in fault diagnosis in semiconductor production line.
