Pepper (Capsicum annum L.) used as a spice or fruit vegetable has been transplanted for cultivation to accompany the production of its seedlings in general. The experiment was done to measure the effect of its cultivars (Daemyng; Wanggochu), priming (chemicals; concentration; period), light quality (red; far-red; blue; dark) during priming, and germination temperature (25 or 15$^{\circ}C$ constant; 25/15$^{\circ}C$ alternating) on the rate of germination done under incandescent lamps until 9 days after sowing. Seed germination was better when primed with Ca(NO$_3$)$_2$ than with KNO$_3$. Priming for 6 to 12 days using the former chemical enhanced the final germination rate and shortened the elapsed days to 50% germination, $T_{50}$, compared to no-priming. Under $25^{\circ}C$ constant germination temperature, primed seeds at darkness or far-red light showed the highest rate until 5 days after sowing or the lowest one since 7 days after sowing, respectively. The germination response at 25/15$^{\circ}C$ alternating temperature did not followed the lowest rate of 15$^{\circ}C$ constant germination temperature but inclined to that of $25^{\circ}C$ constant recorded the greatest one. Under 3 germination temperature red light treated during priming elevated the rate since 7 days after sowing compared to the other light treatments, and the germination rate of each cultivar was affected by no-priming or priming, light quality during priming. which imply their interaction to the seed germination.
Priming has been used to establish a better standing in practice as controling the seed moisture content after sowing. The experiment was done to measure the effect of priming (material ; concentration ; period) and light quality (red ; white ; dark) after sowing on seed germination and radicle elongation of Campanulaceae (Platycodon grandiflorum ; Codonopsis lanceolata ; C. pilosula) to give an information on their earlier standing establishment. The germination test was carried out with 12 hours irradiation for 9 days after priming treatment. In the darkness, the mean germination rate of all the species was decreased in the order to P. grandiflorum, C. pilosula, C. lanceolata. Their germination and radicle elongation became more inclined when primed with $Ca(CO_3)_2$ or with 50 to 150mM than with $KNO_3$ or no priming although there was no difference between priming periods. Under irradiation during their seed germination, however, the former order was changed to P. grandiflorum, C. lanceolata, C. pilosula because light quality treatment given after priming reduced the rate of C. pilosula but enhanced that of C. lanceolata. Although light quality forced after priming did not affect the mean germination rate of P. grandiflorum, it increased earlier or alltime germination of C. lanceolata or C. pilosula, respectively. White light after priming repressed germinations of C. lanceolata and C. pilosulai but increased earlier germinatin of P. grandiflorum, meaning that seed germination and radicle elongation of Campanulaceae could be determined by light quality treated after priming.
The object of this study is to determine the effect of priming on the germination ability and seedling emergence of aged soybean seeds in lab and field conditions. Artificial or natural procedure for seed aging was applied in this study. One seed lot was artificially aged for 3 to 5 days at 42$^{\circ}C$ with high relative humidity (nearly RH 100%), and the other one was stored at room temperature for 17 months. Aged seeds were osmoconditioned in -1.1 MPa polyethylene glycol 8000 (PEG) solution for 3 days at $25^{\circ}C$ and air-dried. When Danyeobkong was aged for 4 days average germination was 61.5%, however, this improved to 98.5% after the priming treatment. Improvement of seed germination by priming the aged seed was consistent with large seed sized Jangyeobkong cultivar, indicating that the priming was effective in enhancing seed germinability regardless of seed size. Priming aged seeds also resulted in good stand establishment in the field trials. Germination of aged seeds of Danyeobkong without priming was 17.0%, whereas that of primed ones was 66.4%.
This study was conducted to explore whether an automatic evaluation effect (i.e.,congruency effect and positive priming effect) of emotional properties which have been found in the racial prejudice study can be applied to the gender properties. Experiment 1 employing a short SOA (150ms-250ms) naming task showed a priming effect was larger in the positive prime-positive target condition than negative prime-negative target condition but not congruent effect. Experiment 2 employing a long SOA (500ms-1000ms) naming task didn't yield either positive priming effect or congruency effect. The congruency effect and the positive priming effect which is ubiquitous phenomenon in the generic cognitive concepts network were not found in the gender properties. Therefore, it was suggested that the social information including prejudice or stereotype can be differently processed according to the value of emotionality.

The present study was conducted to explore how the processing of lexical ambiguity between homonymy and polysemy differs from each other, and whether the representation of mental lexicon was separated from each lexical ambiguity by a semantic priming paradigm. Homonymy (M1 means the literal meaning of '사과', i.e. apple and M2 means another literal meaning of '사과', i.e. apologize) was used in Experiment I, and polysemy (M2 means the literal meaning of '바람', i.e. wind and M2 means the figurative meaning of '바람', i.e. wanton) was used in Experiment 2. The results of both experiments showed that a significant semantic priming effect occurs regardless of the type of ambiguities (homonymy and polysemy) and the difference of their semantic processes. However, the semantic priming effect for polysemy was larger than that for homonymy. This result supports the hypothesis that the semantic process of homonymy is different from that of polysemy.

Priming of seeds in 150 mM KCI at $10^{\circ}C$ for 6 days was most effective in increasing germination rate and shortening germination time. Germination rate of primed seeds was increased to 96% which is about 14% higher than that of non-primed seeds. Germination temperature for better priming effects from primed onion seeds was 10 to $15^{\circ}C$ which is relatively lower than that of normal germination temperature of $20^{\circ}C$. Drying primed seeds at $20^{\circ}C$ for 5 hours resulted in best priming effects.

In nine commercial watermelon cultivars, the effects of osmotic seed priming were evaluated for seed viability and seedling growth at different germination temperatures and field conditions. Generally, primed seeds showed improved germination rate and reduced time for emergence at different germination temperatures, as compared to untreated seeds. In particular, priming effect on seed germination was significantly high at $15^{\circ}C$, which is an environment normally resulting in poor germination. Depending on the watermelon cultivar, germination rate under low temperature ($15^{\circ}C$) was improved by up to 15~66% in primed seeds, as compared to untreated seeds. However, priming effect on germination was gradually reduced as the temperature reached to its optimum level for seed germination. Seed priming tended to improve the viability, fresh weight, and dry weight of watermelon seedlings, but its effect on seedling stage was not large, as compared to untreated seeds. Primed watermelon seeds showed improved emergence rate and facilitated germination in the field, but their seedling growth after 30 days from germination was not significantly affected. Our results indicated that seed priming can greatly improve the seed germination at poor temperature conditions in the watermelon.
Frequency is a very important factor in discussing the effect on facilities such as precision instruments and therefore, in evaluating the effect of blasting vibration, it is necessary to identity information on frequency in addition to maximum amplitude of vibration. This study collected rock samples in gneiss area to perform an indoor rock test and to identify frequency of blasting vibration according to priming location, performed of single hole test blasting. Then the study decided dominant frequency through FFT and analysed changes according to priming locations. Consequently frequency range according to priming location is indicated top priming is distributed high range, bottom priming is distributed high range, middle priming is distributed evenly range. Frequency trend according to priming location is indicated distance increase with frequency discrease in top priming, distance increase with frequency increase in bottom priming.
The purpose of this study was to identify the priming effects of disaster-related news. Specifically, this study aimed to examine the priming effects about trauma words and neutral words according to the geographical and psychological distance from the disaster. The participants in this study were 75 college students who had not experienced the Daegu subway fire accident, and whom were not ruled out after completing the screening measure completing the screening measure the completion of questionnaires for screening. All participants conducted a lexical decision task after watching a news video about the Daegu subway fire accident. The design was a 2 (Geographical distance: close vs. distant) × 2 (Psychological distance: close vs. distant) × 2 (Priming type: trauma priming vs. neutral priming) mixed-design. The results of this study are summarized as follows: First, the group which was geographically closer to the disaster tended to revealed a largerbigger priming effect than the distant group-a trend toward significance. Second, within the psychologically closer to the disaster, group, for those who were geographically closer too, the priming effect was larger for those who were geographically closer geographically closer than for the geographically distant group. Third, the geographically closer group had a largerbigger neutral priming effect than the distant group. Fourth, the psychologically distant group had a largerbigger neutral priming effect than the close group. To sum up, this study identified that disaster news coverage may have an implicit effect on people, and this influence can change according to the geographical and psychological distance. Finally, this study discussed the limitations of the study and recommendations for further research.
