The analysis of inductive contactless inductive power transformer used for the PRT(Personal Rapid Transit) system (소형궤도 차량 시스템에 적합한 무접촉 유도 전력 변환 장치의 특성해석)

  • In this paper, the concept of contactless inductive power transfer system used for the PRT system is suggested and some ideas for Power transformer design to improve the power transfer performance are presented. This system has a large air-gap and demands a large electrical power capability But, low output power is generated due to a loosely coupled characteristic of the large air-gap. Therefore, double layer construction of secondary winding, which was divided in half to increase both output current and output voltage was suggested. In addition, the performance of power transformer alignment condition between the primary power line and the power collector was verified by computer simulation of 2kW model.

  • This paper analyzed longitudinal end effect occurred in linear induction motor by using I-d direct solution and its result is verified by 2-d Finite Element Method(FEM). Longitudinal end effect of linear induction motor caused by magnetic discontinuity in primary core and electric discontinuity in armature winding has been investigated by many researchers. In this paper, 1-d direct solution and boundary conditions proposed by Yamamura and Nasar is used to analyze end effect of linear induction motor and its solution is verified by 2-d FEM.

  • In this paper, the inductive power transformer using electromagnetic induction for the road/railway applied to contactless power transfer system is suggested and some ideas for power collector design to improve the power transfer performance are presented.   • It's essential to measure electrical signals of Korea tilting train "Hanvit 200" during operation, Because we need to study operation characteristics of new electric "Hanvit 200" and we want to develop diagnosis system of main circuit of Korea tilting train "Hanvit 200". So, we measure electrical signals for developing diagnosis system of "Hanvit 200" during operation. We measure voltage and current of the primary winding of main transformer and analyze then. In result, we know that each operation mode has specific waveform and frequency. In addition, we also measure arc currents and arc voltage and we know that are of each situations has specific waveform of pattern.

  • This paper describes a transformer protective relaying algorithm based on the ratio of increments of flux linkages (RIFL) of the primary and secondary windings. The algorithm uses integration approximation. The RIFL is equal to the turns ratio for all operating conditions except for an internal fault. For a single-phase transformer and a Y-Y transformer, the increments of flux linkages (IFL) are calculated. For a Y-$\Delta$ transformer, the difference of IFL are calculated to use the line currents rather than the delta winding currents, which are unavailable. Their ratios are compared with the turns ratio. The comparative study between the proposed and conventional differentiation approximation methods was conducted. The test results show that the algorithm reduces the approximation errors of the conventional methods.

  • In this paper, we describe the starting and synchronizing methods in the linear induction synchronous motor. The proposed motor consists of one pair of linear synchronous motors (LSMs) and an additional linear induction motor (LIM). The primary cores have a common ring winding, and solid conductors are arranged in both LIM and LSM. From the investigation by analysis and experiment, we verify that the proposed motor is effective for practical use.

  • This paper treats the electromagnet type linear synchronous motor with induction operation. The proposed motor consists of the primary winding energized by variable frequency supplies and the secondary having an additional solid-conductor besides the field finding. The conductor is useful for not only the self-starting but also the damping effect In the synchronous drive. From the investigation by the experiment and the finite element analysis coupled with both electric circuit and motion equation we verify that the proposed motor is effective for practical use.

  • This paper deals with a 300kV dc charging system to be used ?s a voltage source in a circuit breaker synthetic short-circuit-test facility. Cockcroft-walton circuit is used to step up the rectified voltage from a single phase transformer of which primary winding is hooked up to an ac220 wall plug. Two systems with the same ratings have been designed and manufactured. The two system have been made of different supporting structure with different insulating materials. The paper describes a couple of charging schemes, system configurations and the synthetic test circuit in which the developed system is to be used.

  • This paper proposes a parameter estimation technique of a power transformer. Based on the combined equation, it estimates separately the primary and secondary leakage inductances, winding resistances using the least square method from the instantaneous voltages and currents in the steady state. The performance of the proposed technique was investigated by varying the cut-off frequency of the filter and the number of samples per cycle. The technique estimates the parameters with higher sampling frequencies.

  • This paper presents leakage magnetic field and leakage inductance calculations in current transformer by means of 3-D Integral methods. From the distribution diagram of leakage magnetic flux to be analyzed using program called TRACAL 3, it confirms a parallel to the winding axis direction of the leakage flux lines in the air gap between the windings. The leakage inductances $L_{r1}\;and\;L_{r2}$ of the primary and secondary windings were calculated, their values are 4.23 mH and 0.49 mH, respectively. They are also similar to the measured values of the leakage inductances for the experimental verification, 4.06 mH and 0.47 mH.
