This thesis examined and analyzed the occupational status of the promising occupations in the environmental industry. A study on the status of the occupations in the environmental industry is very necessary for planning policies and improving occupations in the environmental industry. Studies and discussions regarding the status of the occupations in the environmental industry, however, were extremely insufficient. A survey of the employees in the environmental industry was conducted in order to certainly comprehend the status of the occupations, educational and training programs, and occupational changes and to utilize the result of the survey as foundational data necessary for occupational studies in the environmental industry. The subject of the survey was limited to the employees who had work for one or more years in twenty promising occupations in the environmental industry. The content of the survey was occupational performance competencies, occupational careers, the degree of occupational satisfaction, vocational education and training, working conditions, occupational changes, and the security of the human resources. Dissimilarities as well as similarities among twenty promising occupations were discovered according to the analysis result of the occupations in the environmental industry. A major discovery was that there are lots of difficulties in securing environment-related human resources. Primary reasons for the difficulties were inconsistent working conditions and the shortage of the qualified human resources. To solve the difficulties in securing the human resources, the curriculum of the educational and the training institutes should be innovated and the human resources from the institutes could be applied to the workplace directly after the graduation.

Lamb has long been considered a traditional meal within Australia; however as consumer preferences have changed since the 1950's, consumption of lamb has decreased from the 1980's. This is the result of changing societal roles, particularly for females, decreasing household sizes and increasing awareness of the impact of food choices on human health. Since the 1980's improvement of farm practices and increases in genetic gains has addressed part of this decline by increasing the amount of lean meat and decreasing fat in lamb retail cuts. Yet, this has created a challenge for the industry to utilise the larger carcases now being produced. Thus, a whole value chain approach to increasing consumption has been undertaken through several research programs to create cuts which suit the modern consumer, examine nutritional and eating quality and increase adoption of value added cuts. Therefore, this paper outlines this history of changing consumer patterns and the consequent research to address these changes.

In this paper, we investigate an adaptive cognitive radio (CR) scheme where a sensing duration and a detection threshold for spectrum sensing are adaptively determined according to the channel condition in a fading channel. We optimize the sensing duration and detection threshold of a secondary user to maximize the performance of the secondary user guaranteeing a primary user's secure communication. In addition, we analyze the effect of channel fading on the optimization of the sensing duration and detection threshold. Our numerical results show that the performance of the adaptive CR scheme can be drastically improved if a secondary user can take the advantage of channel information between primary and secondary users.

The purpose of our research is to identify the critical variables and to develop a new methodology for market segmentation of online game market. Our research tested the model with Korean online game users because Korean online game industry is the frontier of global online game industries. Conclusively, the critical variables are the suitability of feedback, the reality of design, the precision of information and the involvement of virtual community. The analysis of segmentation shows that the primary target audiences are positively influenced by the reality of design and the involvement of virtual community. To attract the primary target audiences, online game companies should develop strategies depending on the effectiveness of the variables and the demographic and behavioral characteristics of target audiences.

In this paper, we investigate cooperative diversity in a spectrum sharing environment where secondary users utilize primary users' spectrum only if the interference power received at the primary users is maintained below a predetermined level. The outage probability of a selective decode-and-forward (DF) based cooperative diversity scheme in the secondary network is derived to analyze the effects of spectrum sharing on cooperative diversity. Our analytical and simulation results show that the outage probability is saturated at a certain level of transmit power of secondary users due to interference regulation, and, hence, cooperative diversity gains are lost. Through asymptotic analysis, we also identify the critical value of transmit SNR beyond which the outage probability is saturated.

Induction heating is utilized in a large and ever-increasing number of application. The most prominent of these are billet heating, heat treating, metals joining, and metal melting. In these day, heating roll, a kind of induction heating, is widely used in curing of coatings and fiber industry. In this paper, we analyzed thermal characteristic analysis of induction heating roll according to primary material. Using this analysis results, efficiency of induction heating roll could be improved.

New media is an emerging industry sector. It sits at the nexus of what has become a main vehicle of the Knowledge Based Economy. the crossroads where the use of interactive multimedia technology meets the traditional uses of media. The current Education information Act provided school with PC, multimedia labs and connection to internet. Having such a facility in schools encourage teachers and students to use computers more often. Teachers demand for more educational multimedia contents than they can find in the market. Although there are many good contents, teachers find them unfit or inflexible for their curriculum. The purpose of this study is to identify the elements of standard multimedia studio facilities to develop multimedia contents in primary and secondary schools. The result of this study will provide guidelines for schools to facilitate their multimedia studio for teaching and learning activities, and developing contents for effective use of their facilities.

Primary prevention of low back injury in industry has focused on assessing the person's ability to perform physical labor. If the job to be performed is known to require lifting and moving of materials which could stress the low back, then special consideration is given to the health and functional capability of the person, s back. The major pursuit in lifting task of research is to provide objective criteria based upon all of the relevant mechanical parameters which describe both man art task so as to minimize the probabilities of injury within the economic constraints of each organization. The purpose of this study is to predict the back compression of persons asked to lift objects while assuming different position by computer simulation. The primary result of this study is that the incidence of low back injury is correlated with higher lifting strenth requirements as determined by assessment of both the location and magnitude of the load lifted. It is, therefore, recommended that load lifting be considered potentially hazardous, and the action limit and the maximum permissiable limit be used to guide corrective action.

Recently, as development of the luminaire industry, many people are interest of the outdoor and indoor lighting environment. Also, as increasing of people activity at night, the role of lighting is more important. In these days, the issue of LEDs lighting environment is using loud colors of LEDs which are the most of primary colors (R, G, B). It is often disliked by same people. Therefore, it is necessary to use of natural color in lighting design using LEDs. The colors of the LEDs are composed of combination of R, G, B diodes. This paper performs to investigate preference of various colors and color patterns of LEDs. The purposes of this study are to suggest standardization and natural colors instead of primary colors using LEDs.

This research designed usable standard color chart which was planned by hue and tone color system. This research studied 5 types standard color chart by designed tone map and preceding research. "Basic Color Chart 14 Colors" was planned for kindergarteners. "Primary Color Chart 63 Colors" was planned for schoolboys. "Middle Grade Color Chart 114 Colors" was planned for junior high school students. "High Grade Color Chart 152 Colors" was planned for senior high school students. "Hue and Tone 205 Colors" was planned for university students and general publics. These 5 types standard color chart were produced the trial color coordinate card and attached the Munsell notation which could reappear the spare color paper when needed. These 5 types standard color chart would be offered the data base for efficient color coordinate education as school age.
