  • In an electricity market with an imperfect competition, participants make plans of bidding and transaction strategies to maximize their own profits. The market price and the quantity are concerned with the operation reserve as well as the bidding system and demand curves in an electricity market. This paper presents a market model combined by an energy market and an operating reserve market. The competition of the generation producers in the combined market is formulated as a gaming of selecting bid parameters such as intersections and slopes in bid functions. The Nash Equilibrium(NE) is analyzed by using a hi-level optimization; maximization of Social Welfare(SW) and maximization of the producers' profits.

  • The long-term electricity resource planning of electric utility has undergone significant change during the past decade. The current resource planning can be considered as multi-objective decision making procedure under the various uncertainties such as demand growth, construction cost, fuel price, environmental regulation, plant site, financial adequacy, new technology advent and so on. This paper presents a standardized electricity resource planning scheme using the strategic planning concept. EGEAS computer model was fully applied to indentify feasible alternative plans and simulate various attribute values corresponding each alternative plan and future. As a case study, a hypothetical long-ten capacity expansion planning problem is analyzed.

  • This study attempts to make an observation on the problems and prospects for overseas agricultural investment(OAI) through the insights of farming and farmed companies abroad and through secondary data. OAI mainly aims at the securing steady supplies of crops, which could be anticipated to have increased foreign dependence, and to prepare for crop price fluctuations in the international markets. These functions of OAT are classified with the public and private sector. The public sector needs are largely crops supply for national food consumption and bilateral collaboration between nations. The private sector needs are to gain maximum profits from agricultural investments and to produce raw material for self-consumption in overseas farming companies. The problems in OAI are legal and institutional restrictions in the project area or nation; generally economical unfeasibility in the farm projects, and technical limitations of the farming companies. The prospects of OAI are not very promising. The reason why those many companies which previously planned on OAI changed their investment plans after what is called IMF system with financing difficulties.

  • Purpose: Recent emergence of diverse businesses in the distribution industry has led small and medium-sized retailers and their distribution logistics centers to face difficulties. Transactions between companies are connected within a supply chain, and the companies have relationships in the form of a supplier and a buyer. Therefore, it is important to identify causes of problems among companies through supply chain and strategic partnerships, thus developing optimal management plans and maximizing performances of companies. This study proposes that sustainable supply chain management consists of product quality, price quality, distribution quality, and promotion quality based on stakeholder theory and resource-based view. This study examined the impacts of sustainable chain management factors on satisfaction and win-win cooperation. Research design, data, and methodology: In the proposed model, satisfaction plays a mediating role in the relationship between sustainable chain management and win-win cooperation. The data were collected from 245 owners who use small and medium-sized distribution logistics center and analyzed using 2SLS (two-stage least square) with SPSS 28.0. Exploratory factor analysis and correlation analysis were used to assess the validity and reliability of constructs. Results: The findings are as follows. In the case of the total and Nadeulgage samples, product, price, and distribution quality had a significant positive effect on satisfaction, but in the case of Neighborhood super, product and price quality have a significant positive effect on satisfaction. Satisfaction has a significant positive effect on win-win cooperation in the overall, Nadeulgage, and Neighborhood super. Satisfaction plays a partial or full mediating role in the case of total, Nadeulgage, Neighborhood super. Conclusions: This study emphasized the need for sustainable supply chain management of small and medium-sized distribution logistics centers by examining the relationship between small and medium-sized distribution logistics centers and chain stores. It was found that store satisfaction plays an important role in the win-win cooperation between small and medium-sized distribution logistics centers and chain stores. Small and medium-sized distribution logistics centers can maximize product quality, price quality, distribution quality, and promotion quality by understanding the effect of chain store-related satisfaction and win-win cooperation on chain stores.

  • CB(Convertible bond) is mezzanine security that have the characteristics of bonds and stocks. From the perspective of investors, the purpose of the research is to empirically investigate the degree of investment efficiency of CB and to suggest efficient investment plans. The research method investigated the maturity interest rate, conversion price, and conversion date for CB, and then linked it with daily stock price fluctuations after the conversion date to determine the degree of investment efficiency and stock conversion effect of CB. As a result of the study, it was analyzed that the ratio of the conversion price exceeded days was only about 1/4 of the conversion date, so the investment efficiency was low. The conversion day yield was -6.3% on average and the maturity day yield was -5.2% on average, showing a minus return on average, which was calculated differently from investor expectations. It was analyzed that the number of stocks with a minus conversion day is 2.4 times greater than the number of plus stocks and 3.7 times more than the number of plus stocks with a minus maturity return, so the expected return on stock conversion of CB is low. The research contribution was derived from the problem that the expected rate of return of CB is not high, and it is that the investor's point of view when purchasing CB was established.

  • The objectives of this study were to investigate the need for school uniform recycling and to review the school uniform recycling-related education. 231 female high school students were asked to answer regarding the wearing state of school uniform and their satisfaction level. 10 subjects in middle school technology/home economy were evaluated. As the result, the students wore 1~2 pieces of school uniform, which showed that it was hard to keep them clean by washing them often. The satisfaction level of school uniform was not high, The lowest item was the price. Therefore, to increase the satisfaction level of the school uniforms and also to increase the sanitary level of the school uniforms, it was advisable to purchase a recycled school uniform at cheaper prices to have an extra set. For a vitalization of the recycled school uniforms, the middle school technology/home economy subjects were reviewed. In the topic of "clothing acquisition plan and purchase", the themes of planned purchase, overconsumption of clothing and environmental pollution were discussed and included preferable behaviors for disposal. The topic of "clothing manufacturing and recycling" listed recycling the clothes that are not worn or exchanging them with neighbors as well as suggesting methods to illicit environment-friendly behaviors and carrying them out. However, some textbooks only briefly explained the methods of recycling and more detailed and practical methods need to be suggested in the curriculum. In addition, the contents regarding the environment in the clothing topic need to be supplemented more and more changes, such as related education plans or data development, are required. • This study was designed to : (a) investigate the present situations of a college union foodservice and suggest authority on establishing new college foodservice, (b) estimate the service quality attributes as perceived by students, (c) identify the effecting factor to customer satisfaction, and (d) formulate the plans and marketing strategies for the increasing usage rate of the foodservice in the future. The questionnaire that developed by interviewing student were conducted with 305 male and female students, who were registered for daytime classes. A total of 284 were usable and data was analyzed by the SPSS(ver. 11.0) for the descriptive analysis, factor analysis, reliability test, multiple regression analysis, t-test, and $x^2$. The decrease in the usage rate of college foodservice by the respondents were influenced most by the 'taste of meal' and next by the 'distance'. The service quality attributes of foodservice currently under operation were evaluated above the average only for the 'price' while evaluated generally to be in the lower level of the average or under for others. As the overall level of satisfaction with the college union foodservice, most of the respondents showed the 36% for the ‘dissatisfaction’ and dissatisfied at 54.4%. Two service quality dimensions,"food . sanitation . service" and "price and comfortable environment" were derived from factor analysis and the reasons for decreasing usage rate of the college foodservice both the nearly located group from college union foodservice(NG) and the far away located group from college union foodservie(FG) indicated the ‘poor taste’ and the 'far distance', and the 'evaluation of students' dining room showed a low rating for the factor of "food . sanitation . service". "food . sanitation . service" was analyzed to have more influence to the overall customer satisfaction.
