The introduction of electricity industry provides generators incentives to recover the related cost through the market. Hence, the generator should sell his/her electricity at high market-clearing price with optimal operation of his/her power plant. The maintenance of power plant is the most critical factor in affecting generators' decision-making. This paper analyzes technique for establishing maintenance schedule reflecting recovery cost and considers differences in monthly load pattern in minimizing LOLP.

The accurate short-term load forecasting is essential for the efficient power system operation and the system marginal price decision of the electricity market. So far, errors of load forecasting for Chuseok Holiday are very big compared with forecasting errors for the other special days. In order to improve the accuracy of load forecasting for Chuseok Holiday, selection of input data, the daily normalized load patterns and load forecasting model are investigated. The efficient data selection and daily normalized load pattern based on fuzzy linear regression model is proposed. The proposed load forecasting method for Chuseok Holiday is tested in recent 5 years from 2006 to 2010, and improved the accuracy of the load forecasting compared with the former research.

This paper is written to analyze systematically the varieties of informations about cooking stream procedure on the basis of the basic theory of installation and arrangement such as SLP(Systemic Layout Planning) and to deduce the plan for the device, installation and arrangement suitable to cooking stream procedure. Through the substantial improvement in the modeling of hotel L, the optimization of the capacity of installation and arrangement, and the reduction of food resource stream and its movement and through the analysis of cooking stream procedure by disposing and dividing the main kitchen into three individual ones, the improvement of productivity in comprehensive cookery such as the specialization and equalization of cooking procedure and improvement effect of the price-reduction. Moreover, as for the problem of arrangement of installation, it was displayed that the effect went up to twice through the flexible production-related systems such as the improvement of arrangement, reduction of cooking preparation time, the standardization of cookery.

'Coil' occupies a much important position in delivering driving force of optical pick-up actuators. Up to now the main stream has been a winding coil type actuator, but actuators using FP-Coil(Fine Pattern Coil) have been considered for the more compacted and simple manufacturing process and have variously spreaded the application fields by product. We have tried to design actuators using PCB-Coil(Printed Circuit Board Coil) which has benefits in terms of price and manufacturing process. Especially this research has two main things those are to reduce the vibration of sub-resonance and to assure the do sensitivity in the performance of asymmetric optical pick-up actuator with PCB-Coil.

The consumption of various medical cares is affected not only by income and price but also by the number of household members. This study aims at examining how the number of household members affects the consumption pattern of medical care in Japan. The major findings of this study are summarized as follows; The elasticities of household members on the medical care consumption are estimated to be -2.4 in the 20-years groups in case of total medical care expenditure, 4.1 in the 50-years groups of medical care items, -3.1 in the 40-years groups of medical supplies and equipments, and -5.6 in the 60-years groups and -2.7 in the 50-years groups of medical services.

Recently, heating using oil and gas has been continuously replaced by that using midnight power in home, due to increase of oil price. Therefore, midnight power apparatus has been more and more spreading. However, cost of midnight power services is increasing because high fuel cost of generation facilities by existing power generation mix are charge of midnight power services. This paper analyzes trends about rapidly increasing midnight power in winter, and evaluate load pattern and supply cost of midnight power. Also, this study proposes rate direction of midnight power according to introduction of competitiveness system with B/C evaluation of midnight power cost.

In this research, toggled actuator forces were examined. For achieving to this object, an actuator was installed in a toggle pattern in a S.D.O.F frame and actuator forces were investigated thru a numerical analysis process. Within past twenty years, researchers tried to use strong bracing systems as well as huge dampers to stabilize tall buildings during intensive earthquakes. Eventually, utilizing of active control systems containing actuators to counter massive excitations in structures was emerged. However, the more powerful earthquake excitations, the more robust actuators were required to be installed in the system. Subsequently, the latter process made disadvantage to the active control system due to very high price of the robust actuators as well as their large demands for electricity. Therefore, through a numerical process (Part I), influence of toggled actuator pattern was investigated. The algorithm used in the system was LQR and ATmega328 was selected as a control platform. For comparison, active tendon control system was chosen. The final results show clearly that using the toggle pattern mitigates the required actuator forces enormously leading to deploy much lighter actuators.

In an information-oriented and internalized society of the future, the quality and price of goods made by each country will be equalized. That eliminates competition. But the design and appearance of products is an important factor in international competition. Indeed, design symbolizes a country's culture visually, and it can show the cultural identity and originality of a nation in international society. And that will play an important part that can contribute to creating added value. It is necessary to revive our people's old lyrical stories which are far away from our memory, and we badly need design development to revive traditional cultural merchandise through visual modernization. Among various Korean cultural inheritances, lotus is often seen in tiles, porcelains and folk stories. In this study, I chose lotus as the subject material of textile design development, and my intention for this study is to reflect Korean traditional cultural value as much as I can, and to develop textile design of Korean images by adding modern scenes. For that, first I researched lotus pattern materials and examples of cultural merchandise.

The domestic handbag market has potential of growth - the key to protect this growing market from foreign makers is good design and better quality. 68 people(29.6%)out of 230 survey participants report 'to own 5 handbags', and the most popular(frequently reported) maker is 'MCM', owned by 49 participants(21.3%). 150 participants(65.2%) out of 230 total participants purchase at least one handbag a year, and 136 participants(59.7%) out of 230 spend between 110,000 and 200,000 Korean wons. 52 participants(22.6%) out of 230 own high-end handbags worth 500,000 Korean won or more. Among the high-end handbags, Louis Vuitton is the most popular, owned by 19 participants. The overall criteria in handbag purchase are 'color', 'price', 'pattern and logo', 'reputation', 'material', 'storage room', and 'size', in the descending order of importance. The most frequently desired benefit in handbag purchase is 'to stay through trends' i.e. not to go out of fashion too easily. The favored designs are made with rectangle shape with large width, soft material, attached handles, leather material, modern style. The most frequently cited reason to purchase a high-end brand item is 'because of high quality'.

This study assesses consumer's eating-out pattern for Foodservice industry in Korea. Foodservice industry has become increasingly important because many businessman are looking it difficult to develop successful business as a consequence of the rapid growth in Foodservice industry in Korea This exploratory study originally nation-wide surveyed a 1450 consumer over the country. A research was conducted from July 1, to July 10, 1996 using as its subject domestic consumer over the country. The data obtained from the returned questionnaires was coded and transcribed for statistical analysis. The Statistical Package for social science program (SPSS) was used for computer analysis of the data. Findings indicated the problems of management structures, managerial techniques, and laggard counter measure against the korean government's open-door policy for dining-out industry. It is found that taste, F/B price, atmosphere are considered important in choice of restaurant. And korean consumer think it is that restaurant location, physical, evidence, quality of service, Ads of mouth and cleanliness. With the importance of dining-out industry to the business, economic, and social development of korea, it is imperative to bridge this gap for sustained growth and development. Moreover, this study for advancement and improvement through concrete and multi-directional data collection and in-depth analysis of consumer's eating-out pattern realities is required.
