KOSPI 200지수종목의 변경에 따른 시장반응 : 규모와 시장요인에 따른 그룹간 비교분석 (The Market Effect of Additions or Deletions for KOSPI 200 Index : Comparison between Groups by Size and Market Condition)

  • 본 연구는 KOSPI 200주가지수의 구성종목 변경 사건에 대한 시장반응을 재검증하는 데 초점을 두었다. 국내에서 두 차례 이루어진 과거 실증연구들에서는 KOSPI 200지수종목의 변경이 정보력이 없는 사건으로 분석되었으며, 일부 표본에 대해서만 가격압박가설을 지지하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 이러한 실증적 결과가 변경기업의 속성과 주식시장의 장세에 따라 다르게 나타날 수 있다고 판단하여 기업규모와 시장상황에 따라서 샘플을 구분하여 분석하였다. 실증분석의 결과 지수종목에 신규로 포함되는 기업의 경우 평균적으로 가격압박가설을 지지하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 종목들을 기업규모와 시장상황에 따라 나누어서 분석해보면 주가반응이 크게 나타났던 년도의 표본수가 많지 않았기 때문에 시장의 평균적 반응을 살펴보면 정보력이 없거나 가격압박가설을 지지하는 것처럼 나타난 것으로 분석되었다. 이러한 연구결과는 거래량분석을 통해서도 지지되었는데, 시가총액이 큰 기업은 공시일 전에 새로운 지수종목으로 진입될 것을 예상되기 때문에 공시일 이전에 거래량이 크게 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 지수종목에서 탈락되는 기업의 경우에서는 장기적인 주가반응이 뚜렷하게 나타났지만 거래량에 의한 추가적 설명은 부족한 것으로 분석되었다.

비교가격 광고의 준거가격과 소매점의 가격할인취지 및 소비자의 가격 -품질 연상 심리 수준이 의류제품 속성 평가에 미치는 영향- (Retail Sale Advertising: Effects of Reference Price, Price Rationale and Price-Quality Inference on Evaluation of Apparel Attributes)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 준거가격, 가격할인취지 및 가격-품질 연상 심리 수준이 가격할인 광고 의류제품의 속성 평가에 미치는 영향을 규명하는데 있다. 연구설계는 준거가격(제시, 미제시)$\times$가격할인취지(미제시, 재고처분, 판매촉진)$\times$가격-품질 연상 심리 수준(높은 집단, 낮은 집단)에 의한 피험자간 3원 요인설계에 의하였다. 조사대상자는 여자 대학생들로, 준거가격과 가격할인취지가 다르게 조작된 6개 자극물들 중의 1개 자극물에 노출 되어 광고된 의류제품의 속성들을 평가하였다. 본 연구의 결과 첫째, 의류제품의 봉제 및 직물과 라벨 속성 평가에는 준거가격 제시 유무, 가격할인취지, 가격-품질연상 심리 수준이 상호작용 하여 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 봉제 및 직물 속성과 라벨 속성 평가에 대한 준거가격 제시효과는 가격-품질연상이 낮은 집단에서는 가격할인취지가 제시되지 않았을 때 나타났으며, 가격-품질연상이 높은 집단 에서는 가격할인취지가 재고처분으로 제시되었을 때 나타났다. 셋째, 자켓 의류제품의 제작 속성 평가에 대한 준거가격 제시 유무, 가격할인취지, 가격-품질 연상 심리 수준의 상호작용 효과는 비유의적이었으며, 가격-품질 연상 심리 특성의 주효과만 발견되었다.

굴 산지시장의 위판량과 가격관계 (The Volume and Price Relationship of the Oyster Market in Producing Area)

  • The research on the price-volume relation in the market is very important because it examines into regular phenomenon revealed by market participants including producers and middlemen. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between price and trading volume in the oyster producing market. In order to accomplish the purpose of this study, the contents of empirical analysis include the time series properties of price and trading volume, the short-term and long-term relationships between price and trading volume, and the determinants of trading volume. The data used in this study correspond to daily price and trading volume covering the time period from January 1998 to April 2001. The empirical results can be summarized as follows : First, price and trading volume follow random walks and they are integrated of order 1. The first difference is necessary for satisfying the stationary conditions. Second, price and trading volume are cointegrated. This long-run relationship is stronger from trading volume to price. Third, error correction model suggests that feedback effect exists in the long-run and that price tends to lead trading volume by about five days in the short run, that is, to be required period by digging, conveying, and peeling oystershell for selling oyster. Fourth, price and price volatility is a determinant of trading volume. In particular, trading volume is a negative function of price. It is believed that the conclusion drawn from this study would provide a useful standard for the policy makers in charge of reducing the oyster price volatility risk caused by trading volume(selling quantities).

The Impact of Asian Economic Policy Uncertainty : Evidence from Korean Housing Market

  • We study the impact of economic policy uncertainty (EPU) of Asian four countries such as Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, and China on housing market returns in Korea. Also, we document the relationship between the EPU index of those four countries and the housing market including macroeconomic indicators in Korea. The EPU index of those four countries has significantly a negative effect on the housing purchase price index, housing lease price index in Korea. The EPU index in Korea and Japan has significantly a negative effect on the CPI. The EPU index in only Japan has significantly a negative effect on the PPI. The EPU index in Hong Kong and Korea has significantly a negative effect but the EPU index in China significantly has a positive effect on the stock price index in construction industry. The EPU index in only Korea has significantly a negative effect the stock price index in banking industry. This study shows the EPU index of the Korea has the negative relationships on the housing market economy rather than other countries by VECM. And this study has an important evidence of the spillover of several macroeconomic indicators in Korea for the EPU index of the Asian four countries.

HMR 상품의 선택속성이 1인 가구의 소비자 구매의도에 미치는 영향 - 소비자 온라인 리뷰의 조절효과 중심으로 - (The Effect of Selection Attribute of HMR Product on the Consumer Purchasing Intention of an Single Household - Centered on the Regulation Effect of Consumer Online Reviews -)

  • This study analyzed the effect of five sub-variables' attribute of HMR: features of information, diversity, promptness, price and convenience, on the consumer purchasing intention. In addition, the regulation effect of positive reviews and negative reviews of consumers' online reviews between HMR selection attribute and purchasing intention was also tested. Results are following. First, convenience feature (B=.577, p<.001) and diversity feature (B=.093, p<.01) among the effect of HMR selection attribute had a positive (+) effect on purchasing intention. On the other hand, promptness feature (B=.235, p<.001) and price feature (B=.161, p<.001), and information feature (B=.288, p<.001) were not significant effect on purchasing intention. Second, result of regulation effect of the positive reviews of consumer's online review between the selection attribute of the HMR product and consumers' purchasing intention, in the first-stage model in which the selection attribute of the HMR product is input as an independent variable, there was a significant positive (+) effect on all the features of convenience, diversity, promptness, price, and information. In addition, there was significant positive (+) main effect (B=.472, p<.001) in the second step model in which the consumers' positive reviews, that is a regulation variable. Furthermore, the feature of price (B=.068, p<.05) had a significant positive (+) effect in the third stage in which the selection attribute of the HMR product that is an independent variable and the interaction of the positive review. However, the feature of information (B=-.063, p<.05) showed negative (-) effect, and there was no effect on the features of convenience, diversity, and promptness. Third, as a result of testing the regulation effect of the negative reviews of consumers' online reviews between HMR product selection attribute and consumers' purchasing intention, in the first-stage model in which the selection attribute of the HMR product was a positive (+) effect on all the features of convenience, diversity, promptness, price, and information. In the second-stage model in which consumers' negative reviews (B=-.113, p<.001) had negative (-) effect. In the third-stage in which the selection attribute of the HMR product and the interactions of the negative reviews was a positive (+) effect with the feature of price (B=.113, p<.01). Last, there was no effect at all on the features of convenience, promptness, and information.

한국 조선산업의 국민경제적 파급효과 분석 (National Economic Effects of the Korea Shipbuilding Industry)

  • 국내 조선산업은 2009년도에는 전 세계 33.1%의 시장점유율을 차지하였다. 이는 한국이 세계 제1의 조선국가이며, 한국내에서 조선산업은 국민경제발전에 큰 역할을 한다는 것이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 한국의 기간산업이며, 한국경제를 이끌어온 조선산업에 대한 국민경제적 파급효과에 대한 분석을 실시한다. 경제적 파급효과 분석에서는 산업연관분석을 실시하였으며, 모형으로 수요유도형 모형과 레온티에프가격모형을 이용하였다. 이들 모형을 이용하면 생산유발효과, 부가가치유발효과, 취업유발효과와 물가파급효과를 살펴볼 수 있다. 분석결과 조선산업에서 1원의 생산이 타 산업에 미치는 생산유발효과는 0.7891원, 부가가치유발효과는 0.3742원으로 나타났다. 조선산업에서 산출액 10억원에 의한 취업유발효과는 3.7808명으로 분석되었으며, 조선산업의 산출물 가격이 10% 상승하면 타산업에 미치는 물가파급효과는 0.0009%로 나타났다.

레스토랑 물리적 환경과 지불가격의 관계 (Relationship of Restaurant Physical Environment and Payment Price)

  • Research there is a place objective which searches the importance of physical environment. Namely, there is a place objective which defines the effect relationship of physical environment and payment price. The analysis result physical environment appeared in 6 items. (interia, hygiene, illumination, the color body and atmosphere, space, movement and the command installation). The item which causes a big effect in price appeared with the interia and atmosphere. The upgrade of the interia and atmosphere of the restaurant increases the price it will be able to pay letting with the customer is judged with the fact that role. Currently the restaurant service or importance of specialty knowledge of the work unit field is embossed. But, the customer pays an expense and the item which is important it will be able to create a value is showing is physical environment.

오렌지 수입이 국내산 과일 및 과채 가격에 미친 영향 (An Effect of Orange Import on Domestic Fruits and Vegetables Price in Korea)

  • A Linear Approximated Inverse Almost Ideal Demand System, suggested by Eales and Unnevehr, is estimated with monthly data set of Korean fruits consumption. LA/IAIDS consists of 6 demand equations which correspond to domestically produced Hanrabong, overwintering mandarin, strawberry, melon and tomato with imported orange. The results indicate that price and scale flexibilities are negative, as expected. And the significance is that a 10% increase in imported orange quantity is associated with 5.5% declines in the price of Korean Hanrabong while the price of other fruits is minimally affected. In addition, the estimate of scale flexibility of Hanrabong (-2.96) is much smaller than any other fruit. Hanrabong farmer might be in the face of deficit operation as a consequence of the substitution effect if orange would be imported in accordance with the Korea-U.S. free trade agreement.

Early Globalization and the Law of One Price: Evidence from Sweden, 1732-1914

  • We review research using departures from the law of one price to measure the advent of globalization in Europe and Asia. In an application, we then study the role of distance and time in statistically explaining price dispersion across 32 Swedish towns for 19 commodities from 1732 to 1914. The resulting large number of relative prices (502,689) allows precise estimation of distance and time effects, and their interaction. We find an effect of distance that declines significantly over time, beginning in the 18th century, well before the arrival of canals, the telegraph, or the railway.

日本の量的·質的金融緩和(QQE)の効果について (Study on the Effect of Quantitative and Qualitative Easing(QQE) in Japan)

  • This paper focuses on the policy framework about "Quantitative and Qualitative Easing (QQE)" of Japan, and analyzes reasons why the policy goal was not reached. The QQE was introduced by the Bank of Japan in 2013 with the purpose of meeting the price stability target of 2% and getting out of deflation that prevents sustained price decline. However, despite the implementation of the bold monetary easing policy unprecedented in the world, the policy goal was not achieved as of June 2018. As a result of analyzing the causes, the following three structural factors were confirmed. 1) The rise in prices by QQE was limited because Japan's consumer price is strongly depending on import price. 2) The effect is high degree of uncertainty and limited because theoretical framework of reflationist which adopted QQE depends on "expectation formation" by "self-fulfilling expectation" and "multiple equilibria". 3) It was confirmed that the expansion of the monetary base did not lead to money stock due to the existence of Japanese liquidity trap, long-term low interest rate policy.
