Purpose: The purpose of this study was to review sexual abuse prevention education program for Korean elementary school students. Methods: Whittemore and Knafl's integrative review methods were used and Gough's weight of evidence was employed as a quality appraisal tool. Articles published in Korean or English were identified through electronic search engines and scholarly web sites using three keywords: "elementary school student", "sexual abuse", and "prevention education". Peer-reviewed articles published between 2000 and 2018 were included in this review. Results: Twelve articles met the inclusion criteria and were appraised as being high-quality. Among the 12 selected studies, seven were descriptive, while five were intervention studies. Sexual abuse prevention education programs were effective in improving perceptions, knowledge, attitudes, and preventive behaviors among elementary school students. However, deficiencies were found in the variety of educational methods, utilization of experts, and standardization of the content of sexual abuse prevention education. Conclusion: We need to provide various educational methods that are appropriate for specific developmental stages, and the sexual abuse prevention content should draw upon the current sexual education program administered to this population. Furthermore, parents and trained teachers or school health teachers should be included to provide effective education programs for elementary students.

Surveys were completed before the begining of the interventions in February in 1994 and again after their completion in July 1994. Intervention group was 284 students in pre-test and 218 students in post-test. And control group was 253 students in pre-test and 208 students in post-test. The results of this study was followed. 1. In the general characteristics of subjects studied, sex, mother education, father education, economic status, number of household, and traffic environment were not significant difference between intervention and control group(p>0.05). 2. The contents of injury prevention education that subjects wished to learn, were not significant difference between intervention and control group(p>0.05). Also the mothods of that were significant difference between intervention and control group in pre-test(p<0.05) but not in post-test(p>0.05). 3. Education in knowledge, attitude and practice of injury prevention was slightly effectiveness. Change in attitude of injury prevention was higher than in knowledge and attitude of that we guess that they require a lot of education in the pedestrian prevention. 4. Reative risk between intervention and control group in injury incidence was 1.53 in hospital-care students, and 1.43 in home-care children. Also relative risk of total injury incidence was 1.38, therefore we knew that injury incidence after education was reduced. 5. In the analysis of injury causes, pedestrain injury was remarkably reduced at hospital-care students in two group. At home-care students, two groups were high proportion in play injury. 6. In the analysis of injury places, intervention group was high proportion at near-the house in pre-test(35.4%) and at school in post-test(36.4%). And control group was high at inside-the house in pre-test(31.5%) and at near-the house in post-test(28.2%).
Atopic related skin symptoms must be controlled continually. Because it is involved with food, eating behaviors play an important role in the prevention and management of atopic dermatitis. The aim of this study was to develop and apply nutrition education program for the prevention and management of atopic dermatitis on elementary school students. After applying the nutrition education program, our research attempts to evaluate the effectiveness of such nutrition education program. This study examined the effects of a nutrition education program on atopic dermatitis-related snacking behaviors, eating attitudes, and food behaviors. Subjects were 3rd grade elementary school students in Daejeon. A 6-week nutrition education program was implemented to 97 children as the educated group and another 94 children were included in the study as the control group. A self-administered questionnaire was used to assess the effects of nutrition education program. As results, eating attitudes reached significant improvement by the nutrition education program(p<0.05). In a paired t-test, the control group did not show significant difference, but the educated group showed a significant difference. In snacking behaviors, the two groups did not show statistical difference except for some considering factors. Also, there were no significant differences of the two groups after nutrition education program, except the snacking place after the nutrition education group. However, in the educated group, the types of snacks made by mothers increased 17.5% from 40.2% to 57.7%, and in-house as snacking place increased 13.4% from 68% to 81.4%. In the results of before and after the nutrition education program, the program showed some effect on the prevention and management of atopic dermatitis. Therefore, these results showed foundation for nutritional education and various educational programs are needed afterward to increase the effect of nutrition education in the prevention and management policy related to atopic dermatitis.
