사용자 메타데이터를 이용한 효율적인 채널 선택 기법 (Efficient Channel Selection Using User Meta Data)

  • 최근 방송의 디지털화에 따라 지상파, 위성 등의 방송 매체는 다채널 서비스가 가능하게 되었고, CATV 및 위성에서는 수백 채널의 수용이 가능하게 되었다. 이에 따라 시청자의 채널에 대한 선택의 폭이 넓어지게 되었으나 수백 개의 채널중 시청자의 취향에 맞는 채널을 선택한다는 것은 어려운 일이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 Set Top Box(STB)와 같은 다채널 방송 수신 장치에서 자동적으로 개인의 취향에 맞는 방송 프로그램을 추천해 주기 위한 효과적인 방법을 제시한다. 사용자가 시청한 프로그램에 대한 정보를 MPEG-7 MDS를 이용해 user history data로 작성하고, 이 user history data를 이용해서 시간대별 사용자의 취향과 유사한 장르의 프로그램을 추천하고, 추천된 장르에서의 채널 선호도를 고려하여 채널을 선택한다. 실험한 결과에 따라 본 논문에서 제안하는 방법이 사용자 취항의 채널을 선택하는데 효과적임을 알 수 있다.

잠재적 속성 선호도를 이용한 협업 필터링의 데이터 희소성 문제 개선 방법 (Method to Improve Data Sparsity Problem of Collaborative Filtering Using Latent Attribute Preference)

  • 본 논문에서는 협업 필터링의 선호도 예측 정확성의 저하를 초래하는 전통적 문제점 중 하나인 데이터 희소성 문제에 강인한 잠재적 속성 선호도 기반 협업 필터링 방법(Latent Attribute Rating-based Collaborative Filtering, LAR_CF)을 제안한다. 기존의 협업 필터링은 객체의 유사성을 판단하기 위한 특징벡터로써 사용자가 명시적으로 평가한 선호도만을 이용하며, 해당 문제 개선을 위해 속성을 사용하는 연구들은 범용적으로 사용하기 어려웠다. 이웃 기반 필터링에 근본을 두는 LAR_CF는 기존의 명시적 선호도와 함께 유사도 평가의 대상이 되는 두 객체의 고유한 속성을 특징벡터로 삼기 때문에 명시적 선호도의 수가 적어서 발생하는 데이터 희소성 문제를 개선하여 선호도 예측 정확도를 향상시키며, 속성의 종류에 구애받지 않고 손쉽게 적용할 수 있는 장점을 가진다. LAR_CF의 유효성 평가를 위해서 MovieLens 100k 데이터세트 및 해당 데이터세트에 사용된 속성정보를 활용하여 일반적 성능 실험과 인공적 데이터 희소성 실험에서 선호도 예측 정확도를 평가한 결과, 제안하는 방법이 데이터 희소 조건에서 선호도 예측 정확도를 향상시킬 수 있음을 확인하였다.

  • Rail transport has grown over the Past decades, and rail networks have highly concentrated in urban area, and it is possible for rail passengers to choose a route anions a number of alternative routes. Analysis of factors influencing the choice of route, are required to estimate the rail travel demand of each route. In this paper, we describes route choice model for the transit assignment and characteristics of the route choice(i.e., by relative travel time and fares), and attempts to estimate travel demand of new rail transit based on the slated preference(SP) survey data of Nanko Porttown, which is located in Osaka, Japan.

  • Recently, Liu (2005) proposed a special type of weighting function under a given preference index level with the minimal variability similar to the minimal variability OWA operator weights problem proposed by Fuller and Majlender (2003). He solved this problem using a result of classical optimal control theory. In this note, we give a direct elementary proof of this problem without using any known results.

Pre-Evaluation for Detecting Abnormal Users in Recommender System

  • This study is devoted to suggesting the norm of detection abnormal users who are inferior to the other users in the recommender system compared with estimation accuracy. To select the abnormal users, we propose the pre-filtering method by using the preference ratings to the item rated by users. In this study, the experimental result shows the possibility of detecting the abnormal users before the process of preference estimation through the prediction algorithm. And It will be possible to improve the performance of the recommender system by using this detecting norm.

한국과 베트남 소비자의 지각된 가치가 베이커리 브랜드 선호도와 구매의도에 미치는 영향 (Perceived Value Effects on Global Brand Preference and Purchase Intention in Bakeries: Korean and Vietnamese Consumers)

  • Purpose - This study aims to suggest strategies for Korean enterprises advancing into the Vietnam bakery market by analyzing the effects of perceived values on brand preference and purchase intention among Korean and Vietnamese consumers. Research design, data, and methodology - The perceived value model designed includes functional (price, quality), emotional, and social values. The survey collected data from 500 consumers in Seoul (Korea) and HoChiMinh (Vietnam). The SPSS 18.0 package was used for analysis. Results - First, among Vietnamese consumers, perceived value had a positive (+) effect on global brand preference in the order of functional value of quality, social value, and the functional value of price. However, from an ethnocentric trend and brand image origin, emotional value had a negative effect on global brand preference. In contrast, among Korean consumers, perceived value had a positive (+) effect on global brand preference in the order of functional value of quality, the functional value of price, and the social value. However, emotional value had no effect on global brand preference. Second, for both Korean and Vietnamese consumers, perceived value had a significant positive effect on purchase intention. Third, unlike the Korean consumer, for the Vietnamese consumer, global brand preference had a significant effect on purchase intention. Conclusions - The study implies the following. First, the Vietnamese bakery market has a high proportion of middle-aged customers in their 40s (64%). In terms of monthly income, there was a large proportion (40%) of high-income earners (over $325). Therefore, bakery consumption can be seen as concentrated among middle-aged and high-income consumers. Based on this, bakery strategies should include efforts to increase purchase prices as well as ways to attract local consumers (large cities). Second, unlike Korean consumers, among Vietnamese consumers, the resistance to a global brand based on emotional value (the ethnocentric tendency and brand image origin) can be seen as relatively low. Thus, in the case of the Vietnam bakery market, to increase a global brand's preference, the company should develop a differentiated strategy so that Vietnamese consumers can recognize it better, focusing on product quality, good service quality, and price in the local environment and on social value for social development. Third, in the case of the Vietnamese customer, we found that social value exerts the greatest influence on purchase intention. Therefore, a brand that engenders an image of building the local Vietnamese community can achieve a higher social value and influence purchase intention. In addition, although Vietnamese consumers have ethnocentric tendencies in terms of products, we found that if it is a preferred global brand then there are intentions to purchase. Fourth, in the case of Vietnam, if the preference for global brands is formed, consumer awareness may be connected to purchase intention. Therefore, global brands operating in Vietnam should pay attention to how to improve consumer preferences for global brands in order to increase purchase intention.

  • This study aims to find out the influence of brand awareness and preference of collaboration products created by SPA and luxury brands using specific examples of collaborations, which are now becoming prevelent in the fashion industry. For this study, data collection was carried out through a distribution of 350 copies of the questionnaire, 333 responses were used for data analysis. Using a statistical package program with SPSS, a frequency analysis, a factor analysis, and a multiple regression analysis were conducted. The results of this study are summarized as follows. Awareness and preferences of the SPA and luxury brands lead collaboration products to be preferred. In addition, consumers happen to have more favorable attitudes regarding the purchase of collaboration products. This means that matching brands with high preference is a very important factor to create profits from the collaboration products as awareness and the preference are important factors for the success of projects. In particular, the recognition and preference of luxury brands was found to have greater impact on the preference and recognition of collaboration the SPA brands. Accordingly, brands should expand and actively collaborate through a variety of methods and support proper collaborations that fit their image.

  • 본 논문은 전자메일 사용자별로 제공받은 사용자 선호 정보를 클러스터링하여 사용자 클러스터를 만든 후, 사용자 클러스터들의 전자메일 반응 분포를 계산함으로써 사용자 취향에 따라 동일한 전자메일에 대해서도 다른 반응을 가질 수 있다는 사실을 보이려고 한다. 본 논문에서는 사용자 선호도를 채용하여 보통의 내용기반 방식과는 다른 스팸 메일 대응 시스템을 구축하는 접근법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법은 전자메일 내용으로부터 유도된 전자메일 카테고리 정보뿐만 아니라 사용자 선호 정보도 고려한다. 데이터마이닝 프로세스로부터 유도된 중요한 개념과 규칙들을 정형적으로 표현하기 위하여 사용자 온톨로지를 구축하고, 규칙 최적화 방법을 적용하여 불필요한 규칙들을 제거한다. 실험결과는 제시된 사용자 선호 기반 시스템이 정확률과 시스템이 유도한 규칙, 사용자 이해도 면에서 좋은 결과를 제시한다.

  • Considering that the effectiveness of ads varies according to the credibility of consumers, it is necessary to establish data regarding consumer credibility in relation to online reviews. To conduct a successful study on the marketing strategies of online reviews, it is also necessary to analyze the relationship between credibility and the various factors that influence the purchase intentions of consumers. Therefore, this study attempted to examine the relationship between consumer trust of on-line reviews, brand preference, ads credibility, and purchase intentions in relation to cosmetics. The study was conducted through a normative descriptive survey method using stimuli and a self-administered questionnaire. Analysis of the structural equation model was conducted for the data analysis. The results revealed that consumer reliance on online reviews of cosmetics influences brand preference, credibility of brand ads and purchase intentions. The results also revealed that consumers' on-line reviews, brand preference, and trust of brand ads are important factors for increasing the purchase intentions. The mediation effect of brand preference and brands' ads credibility were found in the process where on-line reviews exercise an influence on the purchase intentions. It was also found that brand preference has a stronger influence on purchase intention than credibility of brand ads. It was discovered that the credibility of on-line reviews directly influences purchase intentions more than indirectly influences. Considering the results of this study, programs that encourage customers to post on-line reviews, and strategies to promote brand preference by targeting groups that exhibit high trust in online reviews would be recommended.

모바일 기기에서 개인화 추천을 위한 실시간 선호도 예측 방법에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Real-Time Preference Prediction for Personalized Recommendation on the Mobile Device)

  • We propose a real time personalized recommendation algorithm on the mobile device. We use a unified collaborative filtering with reduced data. We use Fuzzy C-means clustering to obtain the reduced data and Konohen SOM is applied to get initial values of the cluster centers. The proposed algorithm overcomes data sparsity since it extends data to the similar users and similar items. Also, it enables real time service on the mobile device since it reduces computing time by data clustering. Applying the suggested algorithm to the MovieLens data, we show that the suggested algorithm has reasonable performance in comparison with collaborative filtering. We developed Android-based smart-phone application, which recommends restaurants with coupons and restaurant information.
