  • The application of photovoltaics into building as integrated building components has been paid more attention worldwide. Photovoltaics or solar electric modules are solid state devices, directly converting solar radiation into electricity; the process does not require fuel and any moving parts, and produce no pollutants. And the prefab building method is very effective because the pre- manufactured building components is simply assembled to making up buildings in the construction fields especially the sandwich panel. Architecture considerations for the integration of PV module to building envelope such as building structure, construction type, safety, regulation, maintenance etc. have been carefully refelected from the early stage of BIPV module design. Trial product of BIPV module are manufactured and sample construction details for demonstration building are purposed. Therefore, this paper intends to advanced its practical use by proposing how to get integrated PV system which can be applied to prefab building material, and how to apply it.

From the basis of these results on the correlation of temperature and irradiation were obtained.

  • Recently in Korea, efforts are underway to enhance smart construction by implementing Building Information Modeling (BIM) comprehensively across all sectors of the construction industry. This study focused on the adoption of BIM for prefab bridges currently executed in the industry and It examined the process of creating a BIM-based prefab bridge model that can support production. Additionally, it explored how prefab products made by manufacturers can be integrated with road alignments using BIM technology and how the DfMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly) approach, which supports production based on designed information, can be adopted. The process of creating the prefab bridge model aims to shorten production time, reduce costs, and enhance quality by leveraging digital information related to design and manufacturing within the BIM framework

So, this paper describes a design and performance test of the 10kW poly metal pv module(pmpp) system. It is concluded that the prediction of BIPV system's performance should be based on the more accurate PV module installation.

  • This report describes the development of a program that can be linked to an alignment and extracts related information using a prefab structured digital engineering model. The subject bridge was set as a straight alignment, the Superstructure type as Precast girder and the Substructure type as Precast pier and Cast-in-situ Abutment. We identified the variables required to create a digital engineering model and reviewed them to create the digital engineering model by entering them as numerical values in the program. In addition, it is configured so that the variables linked to the alignment can be entered numerically. The quantity takeoff can be calculated when the design is complete. The purpose of the program development presented in this report is to enable the designers to select the optimal alternative by designing a bridge that best fits their current situation, extracting the relevant information and then by providing it to the manufacturer and construction company.

  • Following natural disasters, there is a need to develop temporary housing through the rapid installation of mass-produced prefabricated housing. This study has developed a model construction manual for prefabricated temporary housing installable in underground spaces. First, the temporary housing prototype was drawn based on opinion poll results from earlier studies. $4.32m^2$ was calculated as the basic unit of the temporary housing living space for one person. Units included panel type, box type and mixed-type, for a variety of field conditions and scales. In order to enable space expansion and movement desirable to the user, the prototype was combination of panel and box types. The drawn prototype was utilized as the basic design template for producing prototypes and for the manual. Second, the possibility of utilizing subway stations as temporary housing was verified through the production of the prototype, and the construction process was summarized in the manual. The manual was developed in the form of a checklist to provide a guideline for users to build with prefab materials.
