A big data processing method to predict solar power generation using systems engineering approach is developed in this work. For developing analytical method, linear model (LM), support vector machine (SVN), and artificial neural network (ANN) technique are chosen. As evaluation indices, the cross-correlation and the mean square root of prediction error (RMSEP) are used. From multi-variable comparison test, it was found that ANN methodology provides the highest correlation and the lowest RMSEP.
The GWNU (Gangnung-Wonju national university) solar radiation model was developed with radiative transfer theory by Iqbal and it is applied the NREL (National Research Energy Laboratory). Input data were collected and accomplished from the model prediction data from RDAPS (Regional Data Assimilated Prediction Model), satellite data and ground observations. And GWNU solar model calculates not only horizontal surface but also complicated terrain surface. Also, We collected the statistical data related on photovoltaic power generation of the Korean Peninsula and analyzed about photovoltaic power efficiency of the Gangwon region. Finally, the solar energy resource and photovoltaic generation possibility map established up with 4 km, 1 km and 180 m resolution on Gangwon region based on actual equipment from Shinan solar plant, statistical data for photovoltaic and complicated topographical effect.
Korea is pursuing a plan to switch and expand energy sources with a focus on renewable energy with the goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2050. As the instability of energy supply increases due to the intermittent nature of renewable energy, accurate prediction of the amount of renewable energy generation is becoming more important. Therefore, the government has opened a small-scale power brokerage market and is implementing a system that pays settlements according to the accuracy of renewable energy prediction. In this paper, a prediction model was implemented using a statistical model and an artificial intelligence model for the prediction of solar power generation. In addition, the results of prediction accuracy were compared and analyzed, and the revenue from the settlement amount of the renewable energy generation forecasting system was estimated.

Solar power generation system is a energy generation technology that produces electricity from solar power, and it is growing fastest among renewable energy technologies. It is of utmost importance that the solar power system supply energy to the load stably. However, due to unstable energy production due to weather and weather conditions, accurate prediction of energy production is needed. In this paper, an Artificial Neural Network(ANN) that predicts solar energy using 15 kinds of meteorological data such as precipitation, long and short wave radiation averages and temperature is implemented and its performance is evaluated. The ANN is constructed by adjusting hidden parameters and parameters such as penalty for preventing overfitting. In order to verify the accuracy and validity of the prediction model, we use Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) and Mean Absolute Error (MAE) as performance indices. The experimental results show that MAPE = 19.54 and MAE = 2155345.10776 when Hidden Layer $Sizes=^{\prime}16{\times}10^{\prime}$.
Renewable energy generation cannot be consistently predicted or controlled. Therefore, it is currently not widely used in the electricity market, which requires dependable production. In this study, reliability- and variance-based controls of energy storage strategies are proposed to utilize renewable energy as a steady contributor to the electricity market. For reliability-based control, photovoltaic (PV) generation is assumed to be registered in the power generation plan. PV generation yields a reliable output using energy storage units to compensate for PV prediction errors. We also propose a runtime state-ofcharge management method for sustainable operations. With variance-based controls, changes in rapid power generation are limited through ramp rate control. This study introduces new reliability and variance indices as indicators for evaluating these strategies. The reliability index quantifies the degree to which the actual generation realizes the plan, and the variance index quantifies the degree of power change. The two strategies are verified based on simulations and experiments. The reliability index improved by 3.1 times on average over 21 days at a real power plant.
Existing Photovoltaic(PV) monitoring system monitors the current, past power generation, all values of environmental sensors. It is necessary to predict solar power generation for efficient operation and maintenance on the power plant. We propose a method for estimating the generation of PV data based PV monitoring system with data accumulation. Through this, we intend to find the failure prediction of the photovoltaic power plant in proportion to the predicted power generation. As a result, the administrator can predict the failure of the system it will be prepared in advance.

The global climate crisis and the implementation of low-carbon policies have led to a growing interest in renewable energy and a growing number of related industries. Among them, solar power is attracting attention as a representative eco-friendly energy that does not deplete and does not emit pollutants or greenhouse gases. As a result, the supplement of solar power facility is increasing all over the world. However, solar power is easily affected by the environment such as geography and weather, so accurate solar power forecast is important for stable operation and efficient management. However, it is very hard to predict the exact amount of solar power using statistical methods. In addition, the conventional prediction methods have focused on only short- or long-term prediction, which causes to take long time to obtain various prediction models with different prediction horizons. Therefore, this study utilizes a many-to-many structure of a recurrent neural network (RNN) to integrate short-term and long-term predictions of solar power generation. We compare various RNN-based very short- and long-term prediction methods for solar power in terms of MSE and R2 values.
This research propose and simulate a solar power generation system monitoring system based on Modbus TCP communication using RaspberryPi, an IOT equipment, as a master and an inverter as a slave. In this model, various sensors are added to the RaspberryPi to add necessary information for monitoring solar power plants, and power generation prediction and monitoring information are transmitted to the smart phone through real-time power generation prediction. In addition, information that is continuously generated by the solar power plant is built on the server as big data, and a deep learning model for predicting power generation is trained and updated. As a result of the study, stable communication was possible based on Modbus TCP with the Raspberry Pi in the inverter, and real-time prediction was possible with the deep learning model learned in the Raspberry Pi. The server was able to train various deep learning models with big data, and it was confirmed that LSTM showed the best error with a learning error of 0.0069, a test error of 0.0075, and an RMSE of 0.0866. This model suggested that it is possible to implement a real-time monitoring system that is simpler, more convenient, and can predict the amount of power generation for inverters of various manufacturers.
To participate in global carbon neutrality, the Korean government is also planning to carry out zero-energy building certification for all buildings by 2030 through the enforcement decree of the 'Green Building Support Act'. Accordingly, the government is providing various projects related to solar power generation, which are relatively close to life. In particular, roof-mounted photovoltaic power generation systems are attracting attention in terms of using unused space to produce energy without destroying the environment, but low power generation efficiency compared to other photovoltaic power generation facilities is pointed out as a disadvantage. Therefore, in this paper, to solve this problem, we propose an efficient solar panel angle variable system through research on the solar panel structure for single-axial solar tracking, and also consider the application environment of the roof-mounted solar power generation system. Suggests measures to prevent damage and secondary damage. In addition, it is judged that it is possible to control the solar panel based on ICT convergence and configure the accident prediction safety system to link the project-based education program.

In this research, the concept of a salt farm parallel solar power system, which produce salt and electricity at the same site, is proposed for the first time in the world. The concept is that large waterproof plates made by interconnected solar modules are installed at the bottom of the salt farm. The pilot system was successfully installed at a sea shore, and verified its feasibility as a solar power plant. For deeper understanding, simulations for power prediction of the system were carried out and compared with the field test results. The power generation of the salt farm parallel system is comparable to conventional solar power plants. The cooling effect by sea water contributes more to the increase in the crystalline silicon photovoltaic module performance than the absorption loss due to sea water by maintaining certain height above the module.
