Z-map 기반 가공 검증모델을 이용한 칩부하 제어기 (Chip Load Control Using a NC Verification Model Based on Z-Map)

  • This paper presents a new method for the optimization of feed rate in sculptured surface machining. A NC verification model based on Z-map was utilized to obtain chip load according to feed per tooth. This optimization method can regenerate a new NC program with respect to the commanded cutting conditions and the NC program that was generated from CAM system. The regenerated NC program has not only the same data of the ex-NC program but also the updated feed rate in every block. The new NC data can reduce the cutting time and produce precision products with almost even chip load to the feed per tooth. This method can also reduce tool chipping and make constant tool wear.

  • The spinning is a very effective manufacturing technology for short production runs in a variety of sizes and shapes, because it can form the cross-section or tubular parts various shapes. However extensive experimental and analytical research has not been carried out. In this study, and fundamental experiment was conducted to improve productivity with process parameter such as tool path, angle of roller holder(a), feed rate(v) and corner radius of forming roller(Rr). These factors were selected as variables in the experiment because they were most likely expected to have and effect on spring back. The clearance was controlled in order to achieve the precision product which is comparable to deep drawing one. And also thickness and diameter distribution of a multistage cup obtained by shear spinning process were observed and compared with those of a commercial product produced by conventional deep drawing.

  • In this paper a mathematical model, the results of computer simulation and exprimental investigations of electrochemical machining with a too-electrode are presented. The experimental investigations were carried out in order to evaluate the influence of working voltage, initial interelectrode gap size, and metal remove rate. Accuracy of computer simulation evaluated by differences between results of experimental test and computer simulation depends on electrochemical machining coefficient, total overpotential of electrode process, current density, electrical conductivity of electrolyte, and etc. Metal removal rate would be predicted by the simulation of ECM process.

전기화학적 에칭을 이용한 텅스텐 미세 탐침 가공 (Fabrication of Tungsten Probe using Electro-Chemical Etching)

  • Tungsten probe is the most important part of a probe card, which is widely used for the performance test of wafer chips. Electro chemical etching becomes an exclusive choice for mass production of the tungsten probes. In the mass production, not only the shape of the probe but also the shape distribution of machined probes is important. A new method is proposed for the mass production of the tungsten probes. Tungsten wires are separated by a distance, and dipped into electrolyte. The dipping rate is controlled to shape the probes. Several experimental tests are performed to study the machining characteristics. From the test results, machining parameters including electrical conditions and anode position showed significant influences on the shape, repeatability, precision and quality of sharp tips.

다수의 계수구역간의 검사체적을 이용한 소형 세포농도센서 (Micro Cell Counter Using a Fixed Control Volume Between Double Electrical Sensing Zones)

  • We present a novel flow-rate independent cell counter using a fixed control volume between double electrical sensing zones. The previous device based on the single electrical cell sensing in a given flow-rate requires an accurate fluid volume measurement or precision flow rate control. The present cell counter, however, offers the flow-rate independent method for the cell concentration measurement with counting cells in a fixed control volume of $22.9{\pm}0.98{\mu}{\ell}$. In the experimental study, using the RBC (Red Blood Cell), we have compared the measured RBC concentrations from the fabricated devices with those from Hemacytometer. The previous and present devices show the maximum errors of $20.3\%\;and\;16.1\%$, which are in the measurement error range of Hemacytometer (about $20\%$). The present device also shows the flow-rate independent performance at the constant flow-rates ($5{\mu}{\ell}/min$ and $10{\mu}{\ell}/min$) and the varying flow-rate (4, 2, and $4{\mu}{\ell}/min$). Therefore, we demonstrate that the present cell counter is a simple and automated method for the cell concentration measurement without requiring an accurate fluid measurement and precision flow-rate control.

정수압 조건에서 변형률 변화가 섬유강화 복합재의 층간분리인성에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구 (An investigation of the strain rate effect on the delamination toughness of fiber-reinforced composites in the hydrostatic pressure condition)

  • It is generally accepted that fracture toughness of fiber-reinforced polymer composites is affected by strain rate in an atmospheric pressure condition. For a present study, the strain rate effect on the fracture toughness of fiber-reinforced laminated composites in the hydrostatic pressure condition was investigated. For this purpose, fracture tests have been conducted using graphite/epoxy laminated composites applying three steps of the strain rate at 270 MPa hydrostatic pressure condition. The strain rates applied were $0.05\%/sec,\;0.25\%/sec$, and $0.55\%/sec$. Fracture toughness was determined from the work factor approach as a function of applied strain rate. The result showed that fracture toughness decreased as the strain rate increased. Specifically, the fracture toughness decreased $12\%$ as the strain rate increased from $0.05\%/sec$ to $0.55\%/sec$.

디젤엔진의 질소산화물 저감을 위한 Urea SCR 시스템 특성 분석 (II) (Characterization of SCR System for NOx Reduction of Diesel Engine (II))

  • The Effect of Space Velocity(SV) on NOx conversion rate was performed to develop NOx reduction after-treatment system. SV is calculated from engine exhaust gas volume and SCR catalyst volume. Found the Urea injection duty of maximum efficiency for NOx conversion if increase SV, NOx Conversion rate is down. Especially, when SV is more than $110,000h^{-1}$, NOx conversion rate decrease suddenly. Same case, if SV is lower than $40,000h^{-1}$, NOx conversion rate is down. Also, the characterization of Urea-SCR system was performed. Three candidate injectors for injecting Urea were tested in terms of 속 injection rate and NOx reduction rate. The performances of SCR catalytic converter on temperature were investigated. The performance of Urea-SCR system was estimated in the NEDC test cycle with and without EGR. It was found that nozzle type injector had high NOx conversion rate. SCR catalytic converter had the highest efficiency at the temperature of $350^{\circ}C$. EGR+Urea-SCR system achieved NOx reduction efficiency of 73% through the NEDC test cycle.

NURBS 적응보간기를 이용한 Jerk 제한 이송속도 생성 (Design of Jerk Bounded Feed Rate with Look Ahead using Adaptive NURBS Interpolator)

  • A method for obtaining smooth, jerk bounded feed rate profile in high speed machining has been developed. This study proposes a NURBS interpolator based on adaptive feed rate control with a well developed look ahead algorithm which takes into account the machining dynamics as well. Limitation of jerk and proportional torque rate result in smoothened loads on the machine which effectively reduces excitation of the resonant frequencies of the machine. It is found that the values of the feed rate of the down stream sharp corner have profound effect on the feed rate of the upstream sharp corners. By using a windowing scheme the feed rate profile obtained after look ahead method is re-interpolated to reduce the jerk related problems. This is compared with the adaptive NURBS interpolator to show the effectiveness of the proposed method. Simulation results indicate that the consideration of 'ripple effect' is important in avoiding jerk and thereby increasing the machining accuracy.
