Pre-stressing of existing structures using steel cables, FRP cables or FRP laminates has been successfully tried in the past. Retrofitting of beams using pre-stressed laminates does not utilize the full strength of the FRP due to de-bonding of the laminates before the fibre fracture. In the present study attempt has been made to overcome this problem by replacing the FRP laminates by the FRP sheets. In the present paper the effect of initial damage level and pre-stress level on strength, stiffness, cracking behaviour and failure mode of girders retrofitted using pre-stressed CFRP sheets has been studied. The results indicate that rehabilitation of initially damaged girders by bonding pre-stressed CFRP sheets improves the flexural behaviour of beams appreciably. However, it has been observed that with increase in pre-stressing force the load carrying capacity of the girders increases up to a particular level up to which the mode of failure is fibre fracture. Thereafter, the mode of failure shifts from fibre fracture to de-bonding and there is no appreciable increase in load carrying capacity with further increase in pre-stressing force.

A project planning is one of the most important processes that determines success and failure of the project. A pre-project planning is also essential job for information system implementations at the early stage of project planning, especially for management information system like ERP. However, pre-project planning is very difficult, because lots of factors and their relationships should be considered. Pre-project planning of ERP implementation has been done by project manager's own knowledge and experiences. In this article, we propose a system that help project manager to make a pre-project plan of ERP project with case-based reasoning(CBR) framework. The proposed CBR system saves previous cases of ERP pre-project planning in the case base. Then, the system finds the most similar case with the current pre-project planning problem. Project manager can make a pre-project plan by adjusting the most similar case. From the interview with project managers, we collect some field cases of ERP implementation. We organized these cases by using XML(Extensible Markup Language), which is good for representing hierarchical information. XML gives us some flexibilities to correct and maintain cases. We make a prototype system, PPSS(Project Planning Support System) that help project manager to make a pre-project plan of ERP implementations. The object of the system is to support project manager to make a pre-project plan of ERP. We hope the result of the study can be applied to other information systems. Our research would be extended to cover other stages of project planning.

Hemicelluloses are useful materials for papermaking and other biotechnological applications. To recover and further utilize the hemicelluloses, this study carried out the pre-extraction of the hemicelluloses from Korean mixed hardwoods chips using hot water and sodium hydroxide solution at various temperature and time conditions. Through the hot water pre-extraction, the wood components of 22% was extracted and the 35% of the hemicelluloses which were contained in the original wood chips were dissolved into the pre-extractives. The yield of the pre-extractives was more significantly influenced by the pre-extraction temperature than the time. The pre-extractives with the yield of 30% could be obtained by alkali pre-extraction and alkali concentration was the most important factor. It had lower hemicellulose content but high molecular weight, compared with the hot water pre-extractives.

In this study, when printed on a nylon material, the color strength and fastness are lower than that of a polyester material, and the nylon material shrinks due to heat and pressure, resulting in poor design and poor compatibility. To overcome this problem, we investigated the possibility of transfer DTP by adding pre-treatment process to nylon transfer DTP process. For the basic study of pre-treatment preparation, we used pure nylon material which is not compounded and dispersion ink and transfer paper applied to existing PET transfer DTP. Pre-treatment preparations were classified into three types of acryl-base polymer and pre-treated with nylon and then applied to transfer DTP to confirm their color strength and fastness. The color strength of the pre-treated nylon material increased and poly-methyl-acrylate amulsion pre-treatment showed the best color at $210^{\circ}C$, 1.5m/min and 0.3MPa. The nylon material pre-treated with washing, friction, and light fastness was judged to be more excellent and stable.

Background: This study aimed to observe the effect of internship in a pre-anesthetic clinic on the teaching quality of pre-anesthesia evaluation for undergraduates. Methods: A total of 120 undergraduates from July 2017 to July 2018 in the anesthesia department of our hospital were randomly divided into two groups: pre-anesthetic clinic internship teaching group (n = 60) and traditional teaching group (n = 60). The knowledge in the pre-anesthesia evaluation teaching chapters was evaluated between the two groups of undergraduates. Results: There were no significant differences in the demographic information between the two groups. The scores in the case analysis and theoretical knowledge test in the pre-anesthetic clinic internship teaching group were significantly higher than those in the traditional teaching group. In addition, the students' satisfaction with the curriculum design was significantly higher in the pre-anesthetic clinic internship teaching group than in the traditional teaching group. Conclusion: Pre-anesthetic clinic internships can improve the quality of pre-anesthesia assessment teaching for undergraduates.

The study deals with the problem of the formation of pre-service teachers' reflective skills in information environment. The role of reflection as a mechanism of formation of a modern teacher's self-consciousness was cleared up. The technology of formation of pre-service teachers' reflective skills was characterized and tested. The main stages of the technology were: a motivational and cognitive stage, a problematic and practical stage, and a reflective and operational stage. The substantiated pedagogical conditions of formation of pre-service teachers' reflective skills were adhered. The criterial and evaluative characteristics of the formation of pre-service teachers' reflective skills were worked out: components (reflection of personal conformity, reflection of the psychological and pedagogical barriers, reflection of professional growth); criteria (criterion of consistency, criterion of difficulty, criterion of potential); indicators (cognitive-evaluative, value-motivational, activity-creative). The levels of formation of pre-service teachers' reflective skills (insufficient level, acceptable level, and optimum level) were determined. The analysis of students' surveys showed the effectiveness and expediency of using the technology of formation of pre-service teachers' reflective skills in the process of professional training.

The purpose of this paper is to examine empirically how to balance advertising expenditure before and after launch with regard to the direction of word of mouth in the motion picture industry. The vector auto-regression model is applied to assess the dynamic impact of advertising and word of mouth on sales. Empirical data, including advertising, word of mouth, and sales (the number of entries) of 83 movies are used for analysis. The research results show that for a movie having more positive word of mouth in the pre- and post-launch periods, it is worthwhile to spend the advertising budget in the pre-launch period only and to spare it in post-launch period. However, it is worthwhile to spare the advertising budget in the pre-launch period for movies having less positive word of mouth before and after launch, and to concentrate spending in post-launch period instead. Mangers who handle products and services facing shortened lifecycles, such as games, eBooks, and digital music contents, need to check the quality of pre-launch word of mouth for their advertising budget decisions in the pre- and post-launch periods and spend more of the advertising budget in the post- (pre-) launch period if pre-launch word of mouth is negative (positive). For products and services with a shortened lifecycle, it is recommended to spend more of the advertising budget in the post- (pre-) launch period if pre-launch word of mouth is negative (positive).

In this paper, the concept of $PC^{\star}$-closed sets is introduced. $PC^{\star}$-closed sets contain $pre^*_I$-open and $pre^*_I$-closed sets, ${\mathcal{RPC}}_I$ and $pre^*_I$-closed sets, ${\mathcal{RPC}}_I$ and weakly $I_{rg}$-closed sets.

In this paper, a new class of fuzzy topological spaces called ordered fuzzy pre-extremally disconnected spaces is introduced. Tietze extension theorem for ordered fuzzy pre-extremally disconnected spaces has been discussed as in [9] besides proving several other propositions and lemmas.
