  • The study explores, by carrying out literature review (theoretical pursuit) and case analysis (practical works), the changed point of view on the European war memorial/museum, the revolution of museography and its paradigm, the case analysis of war memorial/museum in the paradigm shift, the new point of view and its role. Through the theoretical thinking and the case analysis, it concludes that the exhibition space of war memorial/museum, which is in the center of material culture, is turning into the venue of societal culture. Ultimately, it aims at indicating the necessity of the paradigm shift, and offering the exhibition design strategy and technique which can better display the objects - remains - of the terrible war and the importance of peace for the old generation and the future generation.

  • Marketing communication is becoming a critical element in today's competive retail environment. Consumers are better educated and discriminating in their choices. Especially, now in the totally opened Korean market situation, establishing proper retail marketing strategy faces many challenge and require special attention. In this study, various promotion media application strategies are mentioned in order to help retailers who need to develop their own promotion plan. Among the media mix, xisual merchandising is becoming effective communication system for retail promotion. Because of its complex development process, retailers and professionals both need to understand the theoretical background of VMD and application method. As a guide in developing systems for each use, it might have some limitations due to the method of research and data related to researcher's choice. In spite of above mentioned limitations, this study will serve as a practical guide for the retailers who wishes to achieve marketing goals in order to survive in this competitive retail situation.

  • The prognosis of patients who are comatose after resuscitation remains uncertain. The accurate prediction of neurological outcome is important for management decisions and counseling. A neurological examination is an important factor for prognostication, but widely used sedatives alter the neurological examination and delay the response recovery. Additional studies including electroencephalography, somatosensory-evoked potentials, brain imaging, and blood biomarkers are useful for evaluating the extent of brain injury. This review aimed to assess the usefulness of and provide practical prognostic strategy for pediatric postresuscitation patients. The principles of prognostication are that the assessment should be delayed until at least 72 hours after cardiac arrest and the assessment should be multimodal. Furthermore, multiple factors including unmeasured confounders in individual patients should be considered when applying the prognostication strategy.

  • Recently, the next-generation advanced flow visualization techniques such as holographic PIV, aynni.c PIV, echo-PIV, micro/nano-PIV, and X-ray PIV have been introduced. These advanced mea-surement techniques have a big potential as the core technology for analyzing outmost thermo-fluid flows in future. They would be indispensable in solving complicated thermo-fluid flow problems not only in industrial fields such as automotive, space, electronics, aero- and hydro-dynamics. steel, and information engineering, but also in the research fields of medical science, bio-medical engineering, environmental and energy technology etc. Especially, NT (Nano Technology) and BT (Bio Technology) strongly demand these advanced measurement techniques, because it is impossible for conventional measurement methods to observe the nano- and bio-fluidic flow phenomena. In this article, the basic principle of these high-tech flow visualization techniques and their practical applications which cannot be resolved by conventional methods, such as blood flows in a micro-tube, in vivo analysis of micro-circulation, and flow around a living body are introduced as a blue ocean strategy.

  • Over the past two decades in the United States, social marketing has become an increasingly popular means of delivering nutrition education for the purpose of eliciting a specific behavior change. This manuscript defines social marketing via traditional marketing concepts and jargon, as well as through a communications strategy that can be used to guide message and campaign development. Research and evaluation strategies necessary to support the development and assessment of campaign promotions, is discussed. Four campaigns implemented in the United States, and one campaign implemented in Indonesia, are discussed in terms of the strategies presented. These campaigns illustrate how this educational technique and an array of assessment approaches have been applied to varied nutritional issues across diverse target audiences and settings. Practical recommendations, as well as discussion of issues regarding the advantages and disadvantages of using social marketing as an educational strategy, campaign sustainability, and philosophical considerations regarding the use of this educational approach, are addressed.

  • To obtain the requirements of capability and analyze mission loads for weapon systems which are in process of development, Operational Mode Summary/Mission Profile(OMS/MP) should be documented in advance. In this paper, we have proposed a systematic and practical OMS/MP model processes of a weapon mounted combat vehicle for analyzing power and energy strategy. The wartime and peacetime OMS/MP of a hybrid wheeled combat vehicle which is mounted with an anti-tank guided weapon(ATGW) is also presented as its application.

  • This study reviews the analysis and characteristics of databases from big data and then establishes representational strategy. Thus, analysis has continued for a long time in the quantity and quality of data, and there are changes in the location of data in the social sciences, past trends and the emergence of big data. The introduction of big data is presented as a prototype of new social science and is a useful practical example that empirically shows the need, basis, and direction of analysis through trend prediction services. Big data provides a future perspective as an important foundation for social change within the framework of basic social sciences.

  • During the previous few years, local universities have experienced a rapid decrease in registration of new student for admission because of the problem of excessive concentration to Seoul metropolitan area and decrease in the number of population under school ages. Even though they are tring to survive from the difficulties by developing new strategies to increase the number of new students, it has no meaning if there is no standpoint of marketing. So, this study suggests that introduction of demander focused marketing concept actively is needed breaking the general and conservative method when the university devise entrance examination strategy. Also, using of positioning map is suggested and the examples are showed as finding differentiation factors with competitive university.

  • This paper applies carrier phase shifted pulse-width modulation (CPS-PWM) to transformerless modular multilevel converters (MMC) to improve the output spectrum. Because the MMC topology is characterized by the double-star connection of six legs consisting of cascaded modular chopper cells with floating capacitors, the balance control of the DC-link capacitor voltage is essential for safe operation. This paper presents a leg-balancing control strategy to achieve DC-link voltage balance under all operating conditions. This strategy based on circulating current decoupling control focused on DC-link balancing between the upper and lower legs in each phase pair by considering the six legs as three independent phase-pairs. Experiments are implemented on a 100-V 3-kVA downscaled prototype. The experimental results show that the proposed leg-balancing control is both effective and practical.

  • This paper proposes a methodological scheme for the photovoltaic (PV) simulator design. With the advantages of a digital controller system, linear interpolation is proposed for precise fitting with higher computational efficiency. A novel control strategy that directly tackles two different duty cycles is proposed and implemented to achieve a full-range operation including short circuit (SC) and open circuit (OC) conditions. Systematic design procedures for both hardware and algorithm are explained, and a prototype is built. Experimental results confirm an accurate steady state performance under different load conditions, including SC and OC. This low power apparatus can be adopted for PV education and research with a limited budget.
