본 연구는 중등학교 수학 수업에서 컴퓨터 보조수업의 활용실태를 알아보고, 컴퓨터 보조수업에 대한 수학교사와 학생들의 인식을 조사하기 위하여 설문지를 통하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과 수학 수업에서 컴퓨터 보조수업의 교육적 효과 및 필요성은 인식하고 있음에도 불구하고, 그 활용은 미흡한 것으로 나타났다. 컴퓨터 보조수업의 활성화를 위해서는 다양한 코스웨어의 개발, 컴퓨터 사용 환경개선 및 교사 연수 등에 대한 지속적인 지원과 관심이 필요한 것으로 드러났다.

Mobility and cloud platform have become the dominant paradigm to develop web services dealing with huge and diverse digital contents for scientific solution or engineering application. These two trends are technically combined into mobile cloud computing environment taking beneficial points from each. The intention of this study is to design and implement a mobile cloud application for remotely sensed image fusion for the further practical geo-based mobile services. In this implementation, the system architecture consists of two parts: mobile web client and cloud application server. Mobile web client is for user interface regarding image fusion application processing and image visualization and for mobile web service of data listing and browsing. Cloud application server works on OpenStack, open source cloud platform. In this part, three server instances are generated as web server instance, tiling server instance, and fusion server instance. With metadata browsing of the processing data, image fusion by Bayesian approach is performed using functions within Orfeo Toolbox (OTB), open source remote sensing library. In addition, similarity of fused images with respect to input image set is estimated by histogram distance metrics. This result can be used as the reference criterion for user parameter choice on Bayesian image fusion. It is thought that the implementation strategy for mobile cloud application based on full open sources provides good points for a mobile service supporting specific remote sensing functions, besides image fusion schemes, by user demands to expand remote sensing application fields.

The purpose of this study was to introduce an application as a learning medium that can be used by students to prepare Solo bridal paes. This application can be used by make-up beginners who are learning about Solo bridal paes. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a randomized pretest-posttest control group. The paes application can be used as a medium in Solo bridal makeup learning, because it is highly effective in helping students prepare Solo bridal paes. This application is also considerably practical because it can be installed on smartphones. Experimental results revealed a difference between the control and experimental classes. Students in the experimental class could prepare paes neatly, and their shapes were proportional to the face of the model. The use of augmented reality as a medium to teach Solo bridal makeup, especially for making paes, is an innovation in the world of education. This application can help students make paes.

Purpose: In order to increase the quality of nursing care for patients with diabetes mellitus, it is important for clinical nurses to accept changes in diabetes knowledge and correct their approach immediately. This approach will also contribute to effective nursing practice. Methods: The study was designed to investigate the level of knowledge and diffusion of knowledge for nursing care of patients with diabetes mellitus among clinical nurses. It was conducted with nurses from 29 general hospitals in Korea from November 3 to December 5, 2008. The questionnaire consisted of 129 items and it was sent to the participants by mail. Of the 1,060 questionnaires returned, only 930 were valid for use in the statistical analysis. Results: 1) The average score for clinical nurses' knowledge of diabetes mellitus was 0.67 out of 1.0. 2) The level of persuasion of knowledge for nursing care of patients with diabetes mellitus averaged 0.64 out of 1.0 3) The level of practical application of knowledge for nursing care of patients with diabetes mellitus averaged 1.05 out of 2.0, indicating that they applied their knowledge 'sometimes'. 4) The level of diffusion of knowledge for nursing care of patients with diabetes mellitus was 2.37 out of 4.0 and level was estimated as the stage of 'persuasion'. 5) There were significant differences in nursing knowledge of diabetes mellitus, according to experience in practical education for diabetes mellitus. Conclusion: The results indicate that nurses with a lower level of knowledge of diabetes mellitus have a lower level of persuasion of knowledge for nursing care of patients with diabetes mellitus and lower practical application. To improve the level of nurses' knowledge of diabetes mellitus, practical training programs are needed for areas in which knowledge level is low, such as 'diagnosis and management of diabetes mellitus', 'oral diabetes medication', and 'glucose control in special conditions'.

This study was focused on the screening of valuable genetic resources, such as promoters from metagenome, and describes a promoter trapping system with a bidirectional probe concept, which can select promoters or operons from various biological resources including metagenomic DNA. A pair of reporters, GFP and DsRed, facing the opposite direction without promoters, is an effective system that can function regardless of the direction of inserted promoters. The feasibility of this system was tested for the isolation of constitutively expressed promoters in E. coli from a soil metagenome, resulting in a potential pool of various promoters for practical application. The analyses of structural organization of the trapped genes demonstrated that constitutively expressible promoters in E. coli were broadly distributed within the metagenome, and suggested that some promoters were useful for the construction of expression vectors. Based on these observations, three constitutive promoters were employed in the expression vector system and their potentials for practical application were evaluated in terms of expression level, protein solubility, and effects on host growth.

The personal health record (PHR) system is a promising application that provides precise information and customized services for health care. To flexibly protect sensitive data, attribute-based encryption has been widely applied for PHR access control. However, escrow, exposure and abuse of private keys still hinder its practical application in the PHR system. In this paper, we propose a coordinated ciphertext policy attribute-based access control with user accountability (CCP-ABAC-UA) for the PHR system. Its coordinated mechanism not only effectively prevents the escrow and exposure of private keys but also accurately detects whether key abuse is taking place and identifies the traitor. We claim that CCP-ABAC-UA is a user-side lightweight scheme. Especially for PHR receivers, no bilinear pairing computation is needed to access health records, so the practical mobile PHR system can be realized. By introducing a novel provably secure construction, we prove that it is secure against selectively chosen plaintext attacks. The analysis indicates that CCP-ABAC-UA achieves better performance in terms of security and user-side computational efficiency for a PHR system.
