  • My essay aims at reading Ginsberg's "Howl" and "Kaddish" with the concept of 'shaman-prophet-poet' to illustrate the dynamic relationship between his poetics and radical politics. Throughout his widely-ranging career, Ginsberg represents himself as a poet-prophet and commands a typical rhetoric of revelation as a way of decentering Cold War orthodoxies. While well aware of the oppressive and pervasive power of the dominant post-war ideologies, he adopts 'madness' to oppose conventional political, social, and religious institutions; by way of entering into the madness of this world and actively engaging himself as a victim, he can finally heal both himself and the world. This dual function of poet characterizes his rhetoric of revelation, but it doesn't appeal to the mainstream of American critical ideology where the post-structural approach to language and subject gives a skeptical look at any account of active human agency and humanistic belief in the possibility of language. In "Howl" and "Kaddish," Ginsburg persuades the reader of the truth of his own vision through the convincing and realistic portraits of his contemporaries as well as his own mother and family. Different from his visionary predecessors such as Emerson and Whitman, Ginsberg knew the difficulty of a negotiation between history and divine vision, and attempted to imbricate his family, friends, and even the larger social and political units within his visionary experience in order to avoid naive idealism, escapism, or solipsism. Furthermore, he deconstructs the Logos of Western prophecy and replaces it with the groundless identity and the nontheistic epistemology of Buddhism, which, in turn, leads to emptying his powerful language of absolutist meaning and prevents his prophecy from becoming re-reified as divine essentialism. Ginsberg's idea of poet and poem revitalizes the skeptical view on language and literary representation of our contemporary critical community which is unwilling to engage the experimental scope of his radical prophecy.

  • Since the mid-to-late 1990s, there have obviously been many changes in the North Korean economy. Since the change has been more pronounced since Kim Jong Un took power in 2012, the purpose of the paper is to track the trend of economic policy by timing. In this paper, I use LDA Topic Modeling, a text-mining analyzer method, to analyze the economics journal "Economic Research," which is a representative literature in the economic field published in North Korea. An in-depth analysis of the "economic research," which has an unrivaled position as an economic journal produced in North Korea, can be said to be an essential task in tracking the reality, limitations facing the economy and alternatives that North Korean authorities are aware of. Through the "Economic Research," where various topics of debate on the North Korean economy are hidden, the North Korean leader's economic policy flow is examined and the contents of the "change" intended by the current Kim Jong-un regime are analyzed.

  • This paper proposes an EMC-aware PCB design method to reduce electromagnetic emission, where trace length and teturn path of critical signal are shortened by changing chip location and trace layout on the PCB, while additional filters or decoupling capacitors are not required. In the proposed method, signal velocity is calculated for various signals on the PCB. Critical signal with the fastest signal velocity is determined and its return path is shortened as much as possible by placing chip location and trace routing first. Return path of critical signal should be carefully designed not to have discontinuity. Power plane and ground plane should be carefully designed not to be divided, since these planes are the reference of return path. The proposed method was applied to automotive directional Bluetooth speaker which failed to pass CISPR 32 and CISPR 25 EMC tests. Its PCB was redesigned based on the proposed method and it easily passed the EMC tests. The proposed method is useful to EMC-sensitive electronic equipments.

  • Health information systems (HIS) are facing security challenges on data privacy and confidentiality. These challenges are based on centralized system architecture creating a target for malicious attacks. Blockchain technology has emerged as a trending technology with the potential to improve data security. Despite the effectiveness of this technology, still HIS are suffering from a lack of data privacy and confidentiality. This paper presents a blockchain-based data storage security architecture integrated with an e-Health care system to improve its security. The study employed a qualitative research method where data were collected using interviews and document analysis. Execute-order-validate Fabric's storage security architecture was implemented through private data collection, which is the combination of the actual private data stored in a private state, and a hash of that private data to guarantee data privacy. The key findings of this research show that data privacy and confidentiality are attained through a private data policy. Network peers are decentralized with blockchain only for hash storage to avoid storage challenges. Cost-effectiveness is achieved through data storage within a database of a Hyperledger Fabric. The overall performance of Fabric is higher than Ethereum. Ethereum's low performance is due to its execute-validate architecture which has high computation power with transaction inconsistencies. E-Health care system administrators should be trained and engaged with blockchain architectural designs for health data storage security. Health policymakers should be aware of blockchain technology and make use of the findings. The scientific contribution of this study is based on; cost-effectiveness of secured data storage, the use of hashes of network data stored in each node, and low energy consumption of Fabric leading to high performance.

  • Negotiation has been an important topic of M&A within entertainment industry. This research is aimed to investigate the process of M&A and related negotiation theories review and to analyze the Nexon sales failure case. M&A is a significant strategic decision-making made to ensure the sustainable competitiveness of Nexon. Nexon is generally more competitive action in negotiation context than rival game corporations. As a result, the negotiation about M&A is not completely succeeded. Nexon need to overcome the distributive strategy based on high anchoring (sales price). Also, Nexon need to be aware that negotiators who focus on the BATNA are more effective in claiming resources. Netmarble have low status and so is expected to be poor negotiation result. Because Nexon is perceived to be of higher status than Netmarble in an M&A process, Nexon is given the power to propose agreements. The practical and academic lessons of the present study are discussed.

  • Background and objective: Cancer is the number one cause of death in Korea, and it affects any part of the body regardless of gender and age. Forest healing is a treatment that maximizes the effect of treatment and improves the quality of life. This study aims to provide basic data for the development and implementation of differentiated forest healing programs for cancer patients based on the survey on their interest and needs for the programs. Methods: The subjects were those diagnosed with cancer from October 2018 to April 2019, and this study used 144 copies of the questionnaire retrieved. The sample size of this study (n = 144) was the appropriate size required by G-Power, and the collected responses were analyzed using SPSS 25.0. Results: In the frequency analysis on the interest in forest healing, 79.2% of the subjects had no experience participating in forest healing, but 87% were aware of it, and 82.6% showed the intention to participate in forest healing programs. This indicates that even though not many of them have experience participating in forest healing, they showed high interest and needs for participation. They preferred to participate in spring (29.9%) and fall (27.8%), in programs carried out for 1.5-2 hours in the morning on weekdays. Conclusion: This study has implications for the analysis on forest healing needs of cancer patients, and it is necessary to plan, develop, and implement differentiated forest healing programs that meet the needs of the cancer patients depending on their characteristics. There is also a need to plan forest healing program that can promote both psychological stability and physical health of cancer patients and verify and evaluate their effects based on specialized training of forest healing instructors.

  • In ad-hoc networks, dynamically reconfigurable and temporary wireless networks, all mobile devices cooperatively maintain network connectivity with no assistance of base stations while they have limited amounts of energy that is used in different rates depending on the power level. Since every node has to perform the functions of a router, if some nodes die early due to lack of energy, it will not be possible for other nodes to communicate with each other and network lifetime will be shortened. Consequently, it is very important to develop a technique to efficiently consume the limited amounts of energy resources so that the network lifetime is maximized. In this paper, geographical localized routing is proposed to help making smarter routing decision using only local information and reduce the routing overhead. The proposed localized routing algorithm selects energy-aware neighbors considering the transmission energy and error rate over the wireless link, and the residual energy of the node, which enables nodes to achieve balanced energy-consumption and the network lifetime to prolong.

  • Energy consumption as well as performance should be considered when designing up-to-date multicore processors. In this paper, we propose new design technique to reduce the energy consumption in the instruction cache for multicore processors by using modified filter cache. The filter cache has been recognized as one of the most energy-efficient design techniques for singlecore processors. The energy consumed in the instruction cache accounts for a significant portion of total processor energy consumption. Therefore, energy-aware instruction cache design techniques are essential to reduce the energy consumption in a multicore processor. The proposed technique reduces the energy consumption in the instruction cache for multicore processors by reducing the number of accesses to the level-1 instruction cache. We evaluate the proposed design using a simulation infrastructure based on SimpleScalar and CACTI. Simulation results show that the proposed architecture reduces the energy consumption in the instruction cache for multicore processors by up to 3.4% compared to the conventional filter cache architecture. Moreover, the proposed architecture shows better performance over the conventional filter cache architecture.

  • Tinted with ontological concern, Ted Hughes passes through an existential climate, eventually confirms death( or nothingness) as the new foundation of his poetry, and explores the various paradoxical effects of nothingness. Nihilism, fraught with rather negative and traumatic themes such as death, melancholy, and despair can, however, generate being (even in multiple modes), animalistic vitality, and insubstantial specters. Among these new functions of nothingness animality and spectrality are the most notable in Hughes's poetry. A considerable number of animals and bioorganisms that Hughes introduces exhibit the enormous energy derived from the dignity of death, from subversive challenges against the established hierarchy, and from new and dynamic multifaceted sources of nothingness. In other words, Hughes's animals, yield surplus power beyond themselves, as if they are demi-gods; in short, they feature the sublime as unidentified terrifying effects of nothingness. In a sense, animality means allowing some level of violence without legal sanction. Hughes inaugurates this kind of all bigotry-eradicating violence and attempts to subvert higher beings such as humans and gods, and existing doctrines: thrushes rise up against the animal and human worlds; a rush of ghostly crabs at night press through the human world. Hughes also resists the highest being, God, employing the technique of rewriting God's theology. Dirty, anomalous crows attack, subvert, and dismember the delicate, indurate, and thorough system of logos. Hughes, of course, does not place the animals merely in lofty regard, aware of the ulterior deprivation of the sublime animality, the trace of existential negativity. Thus, a seemingly omnipotent crow can become a mere beggar guzzling ice cream from the garbage bin on the beach. In addition, the violent and dignified aspects of nothingness can be transformed to reveal the thin and trivial traits as unreliable specters. Dark, heavy, and terrible nullity lessens its own volume and mass, and exposes the airy waves of shadows or specters. However, owing to nullity's untraceable track, the scarcity and unfamiliarity of the phantoms inversely display their foreign gigantic effects such as fantasy and violence.

  • In this paper, we propose an efficient and QoS-aware MAC scheduling algorithm for Bluetooth, which considers both throughput and delay performance of each Master-Slave pair in scheduling decisions, and thus, attempts to maximize overall performance. The proposed algorithm, MTDPP (Modified Throughput-Delay Priority Policy), makes up for the drawbacks of T-D PP (Throughput-Delay Priority Policy) proposed in [6] and improves the performance. Since Bluetooth employs a master-driven TDD based scheduling algorithm, which is basically operated with the Round Robin policy, many slots may be wasted by POLL or NULL packets when there is no data waiting for transmission in queues. To overcome this link wastage problem, several algorithms have been proposed. Among them, queue state-based priority policy and low power mode-based algorithm can perform with high throughput and reasonable fairness. However, their performances may depend on traffic characteristics, i.e., static or dynamic, and they require additional computational and signaling overheads. In order to tackle such problems, we propose a new scheduling algorithm. Performance of our proposed algorithm is evaluated with respect to throughput and delay. Simulation results show that overall performances can be improved by selecting suitable parameters of our algorithm.
