Small-World 망과 Scale-Free 망을 위한 일반적인 망 생성 방법 (Generalized Network Generation Method for Small-World Network and Scale-Free Network)

  • 최근 들어 다양한 SNS(Social Network Service)에 대한 이해와 분석을 위해 가장 중요한 두 종류의 망인 small-world와 scale-free망에 대한 많은 연구가 수행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 두 개의 입력 파라미터를 적절히 조정함으로서 small-world 망, scale-free 망 혹은 두 개의 성질을 동시에 모두 갖는 망을 생성 할 수 있는 보다 일반화된 망 생성 방법을 제안하였다. 두개의 입력 파라미터중 하나는 small-world 성질을 나태내주는 파라미터고 다른 하나는 scale-free와 small-world 성질 모두를 나타내주는 파라미터다. Small-world와 scale-free를 나타내주는 망의 성질로 군집계수, 평균 최단거리 그리고 power-law 상수를 이용하였다. 본 연구에서 제안한 방법을 사용하면 small-world 망과 scale-free 망의 성질과 관계에 대한 보다 명확한 이해를 할 수 있다. 다양한 여러 예제들을 통하여 두 개의 입력 파라미터들이 군집계수, 평균 최단거리 그리고 power-law 상수에 미치는 영향을 검증하였다. 이를 통해 어떠한 입력 파라미터들의 조합이 small-world 망, scale-free 망 혹은 두 개의 성질을 모두 갖는 망을 생성 할 수 있는지를 조사하였다.

Transient Stability Analysis using Large-Scale Real Time Digital Simulator

  • The KEPS(KEPCO's Enhanced Power system Simulator) Real Time Digital Simulator(RTDS) is the largest real time power system simulator ever built. A power system which includes 320 (3-phase) buses and 90 generators has been modeled and run in real time. Since such large-scale systems were involved, it was not practical to validate them using non-real time electro-magnetic transient programs such as EMTDC™ or EMTP. Instead, the results of the real time electromagnetic transient simulation were validated by comparing to transient stability simulations run using PTI's PSS/E™ program. The comparison of results from the two programs is very good in almost all cases. However, as expected, some differences did exist and were investigated. The differences in the results were primarily traced to the fact that the electromagnetic transient solution algorithm provides more detail solutions and therefore greater accuracy than the transient stability algorithm. After finding very good comparison of results between RTDS Simulator and PSS/E, and after investigating the discrepancies found, KEPCO gained the necessary confidence to use the large-scale real time simulator to analyze and develop their power system.

Flexible Transmission Expansion Planning for Integrating Wind Power Based on Wind Power Distribution Characteristics

  • Traditional transmission planning usually caters for rated wind power output. Due to the low occurrence probability of nominal capacity of wind power and huge investment in transmission, these planning methods will leads to low utilization rates of transmission lines and poor economic efficiency. This paper provides a novel transmission expansion planning method for integrating large-scale wind power. The wind power distribution characteristics of large-scale wind power output and its impact on transmission planning are analyzed. Based on the wind power distribution characteristics, this paper proposes a flexible and economic transmission planning model which saves substantial transmission investment through spilling a small amount of peak output of wind power. A methodology based on Benders decomposition is used to solve the model. The applicability and effectiveness of the model and algorithm are verified through a numerical case.

  • A small-scale wind power generation system with a switched-mode rectifier(SMR) is proposed. To simplify the converter circuit of the wind power generation system, the synchronous inductors of the permanent magnet synchronous generator(PMSG) replace the inductor for the boost converter. The sensorless maximum power point tracking(MPPT) control is carried out for the wind power generation system with the SMR. The proposed system is verified through the simulations and the experiments.

  • This paper proposes a novel probabilistic load flow model for power systems integrated with large-scale wind power, which considers the multi-time scale dispatching features. The ramp limitations of the units and the steady-state security constraints of the network have been comprehensively considered for the entire duration of the study period; thus, the coupling of the system operation states at different time sections has been taken into account. For each time section, the automatic generation control (AGC) strategy is considered, and all variations associated with the wind power and loads are compensated by all AGC units. Cumulants and the Gram-Charlier expansion are used to solve the proposed model. The effectiveness of the proposed method is validated using the modified IEEE RTS 24-bus system and the modified IEEE 118-bus system.

  • 국내에서는 풍력 발전 기술 집약에 전력하고 있지만 풍력 발전 단지에 대한 운영 경험은 매우 제한적이며, 연계 기준 수립에 대한 기초가 부족한 실정이다. 따라서 국내 계통의 특성을 고려한 연계 기준 및 최적 운영 방안 수립을 위하여 여러 국가에서 적용하고 있는 풍력 발전 단지의 연계기준 및 최적 운영 방안에 대한 검토가 필요하다. 이에 본 논문은 제주계통을 대상으로 한 모의를 통하여 대규모 풍력 발전 단지의 최적 운영 방안에 대한 필요성을 확인하고 제안한다.

The results from analysis for rainfall conditions based on Weibull distribution show that the capacity and load factor of SSHP site had large difference between the variation of shape and scale parameter. Especially, the hydrologic performance of SSHP site due to variation of shape parameter varied more sensitive than the case of variation of scale parameter. And also, the methodology represented in this study can be used to decide the primary design specifications of SSHP sites.

  • In the previous research, a study was carried out to estimate the actual performance such as the propeller Revolution Per Minute (RPM) and engine power of a Liquefied Natural Gas Carrier (LNGC) using the full-scale measurement data. After the predicted RPM and engine power were verified by comparing those with the measured values, the suggested method was regarded to be acceptable. However, there was a limitation to apply the method on the prediction of the RPM and engine power of a ship. Since the information of route, speed, and environmental conditions required for estimating the RPM and engine power is generally regarded as the intellectual property of a shipping company, it is difficult to secure the information on a shipyard. In this paper, the RPM and engine power of the 151K LNGC was estimated using the combination of Automatic Identification System (AIS) and European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) database in order to replace the full-scale measurement. The simulation approach, which was suggested in the previous research, was identically applied to the prediction of RPM and engine power. After the results based on the AIS and ECMWF database were compared with those obtained from the full-scale measurement data, the feasibility was briefly reviewed.
