A Study on Propulsion Control Device Characteristics of Small-scale Electric Railway Vehicle according to Driving Curve Tracking using Fuel Cell Generation System (연료전지 발전시스템을 이용한 축소형 철도차량의 운전곡선 추종에 따른 추진제어장치 특성 고찰)

  • The study in railway system to apply a fuel cell system with high efficiency and mobility than other renewable energy is being actively conducted. It is needed a analysis on load characteristics and control method of rolling stock in order to apply to rolling stock. This paper presents study on control small-scale prototype power converter electric railway vehicle using fuel cell generation system. Experiment is conducted through real fuel cell generation system and reference speed applying the driving curve of the actual electric railway vehicle was applied. Also, output voltage of boost converter is controlled considering characteristic of fuel cell. And it was confirmed characteristic according to powering and regeneration of inverter.

Maximum Torque Control of IPMSM with Adaptive Learning Fuzzy-Neural Network (적응학습 퍼지-신경회로망에 의한 IPMSM의 최대토크 제어)

  • Interior permanent magnet synchronous motor(IPMSM) has become a popular choice in electric vehicle applications, due to their excellent power to weight ratio. This paper proposes maximum torque control of IPMSM drive using adaptive learning fuzzy neural network and artificial neural network. This control method is applicable over the entire speed range which considered the limits of the inverter's current md voltage rated value. For each control mode, a condition that determines the optimal d-axis current $i_d$ for maximum torque operation is derived. This paper considers the design and implementation of novel technique of high performance speed control for IPMSM using adaptive teaming fuzzy neural network and artificial neural network. The hybrid combination of neural network and fuzzy control will produce a powerful representation flexibility and numerical processing capability. Also, this paper proposes speed control of IPMSM using adaptive teaming fuzzy neural network and estimation of speed using artificial neural network. The back propagation neural network technique is used to provide a real time adaptive estimation of the motor speed. The proposed control algorithm is applied to IPMSM drive system controlled adaptive teaming fuzzy neural network and artificial neural network, the operating characteristics controlled by maximum torque control are examined in detail. Also, this paper proposes the analysis results to verify the effectiveness of the adaptive teaming fuzzy neural network and artificial neural network.

  • To analyze influences under open fault conditions in switching devices, an integrated simulation and condition monitoring scheme for a permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) based variable speed grid-connected wind turbine system are presented. Among various faults in power electronics components, the open fault in switching devices may arise when the switches are destructed by an accidental over current, or a fuse for short protection is blown out. Under such a faulty condition, the grid-side inverter as well as the generator-side converter does not operate normally, producing an increase of current harmonics, and a reduction in output and efficiency. As an effective way for a condition monitoring of generation system by online basis without requiring any diagnostic apparatus, the estimation schemes for generated voltage, flux linkage, and stator resistance are proposed and the validity of the proposed scheme is proved through comparative simulations.

  • 본 논문에서는 3레벨 NPC 인버터의 전원전압변조 방식을 이용하여 넓은 변조 지수에서 제어 가능한 간단한 중성점 제어 방법을 제안하였다. 제안한 제어 방법은 전원 전압 변조방법을 이용한 중성점 균형 계수와 정확한 옵셋 전압의 제한치를 이용하여 계산된다. 중성점 균형 계수는 전류의 극성과 상하 커패시터의 전압에 의해서 정의되어 진다. 제안된 제어 방법은 중성점 제어를 위해 공간전압 PWM과 불연속 PWM까지 동작범위를 확장하여 동작되어 진다. 제안된 방법은 넓은 변조지수에서 전원전압변조를 이용하여 공간전압 PWM방법을 쉽게 구현할 수 있다. 제안된 중성점 제어 방법의 타당성은 시뮬레이션을 통하여 검증하였다.

  • In this paper, by using hardware in the loop(HIL) of the EES, which is an inverter of high-rated technique and analyze the function. By exchanging information between the simulation and system controller to be used in a live system, HIL approach, approach experimental is used to interpret the system mass analysis is not possible in a real system some. This paper presents the implementation of the EES and the RTDS DSP28335 is a real-time connection to the electrical signal, and to verify the actual system is difficult, it was possible to analyze the performance of the system. Thus, it is expected to contribute I raise the stability and reliability of the operation during the actual EES is built.

  • Cascaded H-bridge 멀티레벨인버터의 스위칭 패턴을 기본파 생성을 위한 저주파 동작과 파형 개선 목적의 고주파 PWM 스위칭 패턴으로 구분하여 스위칭 손실을 감소시킬 수 있지만 입력단의 DC 독립전압원은 각 H-bridge 모듈이 담당하는 출력전압의 레벨에 따라 용량의 차이가 발생한다. 이는 각 H-Bridge 모듈 스위치의 전류 스트레스 차이를 의미하며, 이로 인해 H-bridge 모듈별 수명 차이를 발생시킨다. 본 논문에서는 용량 창이에 따른 모듈 특성 개선과 인버터 수명 문제를 해결하기 위하여 기존의 다중 반송파 정현 펄스폭 변조방식에 스와핑 스위칭 방법을 적용하여 Cascaded H-bridge 멀티레벨인버터에 적용함으로써 스위칭 손실 개선과 함께 각 H-bridge 별 담당 부하 전력을 동일하게 하여 동일 전류 정격 스위치의 사용을 가능하게 한다. 제안된 스와핑 스위칭 패턴을 PD, POD, APOD방식으로 구현하고 이론적 분석과 시뮬레이션을 통해 타당성을 검증한다.

  • 최근 산업기기의 대형화로 인하여 전기기기 및 전력기기의 고효율 대용량 설계에 대한 관심이 커지고 있다. 그 동안에는 대용량 전동기로 주로 유도전동기와 릴럭턴스 전동기가 사용되어 왔다. 그러나 유도전동기는 저속에서의 효율이 낮으며 회전자의 열손실이 효율과 역률을 저하시키는 단점이 있고, 릴럭턴스 전동기는 구조 및 동작원리 상 큰 맥동토크로 인하여 소음과 진동이 매우 크다. 이에 효율과 역률이 좋고 고속운전이 가능한 영구자석형 전동기에 대한 연구가 많이 진행되었고 최근에는 영구자석 재질(희토류계)의 발달함로 인하여 고속 대용량 자석계자형 BLDC와 영구자석형 동기전동기의 설계가 가능해져 대형기에 많이 이용되고 있다. 그러나 대용량 전기기기의 경우 그 크기와 부피가 매우 크고 대전류 대전압의 전원을 공급하여야 하기 때문에 인버터부를 병렬 연결하여야 하므로 제어부를 포함한 전동기의 설치 공간이 증가해 지는 단점이 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 인버터를 전동기의 회전자 내부에 배치한 인버터 내부형 5[MW]급 BLDC 전동기를 설계하고자 하였다.

  • This paper proposes a novel active frequency drift(AFD) method for the islanding prevention of grid-connected photovoltaic inverter. To detect the islanding phenomenon of grid-connected photovoltaic(PV) inverters concerning about the safety hazards and the damage to other electric equipments, many kinds of anti-islanding methods have been presented. Among them, AFD method using chopping fraction(cf) enables the islanding detection to drift up(or down) the frequency of the voltage during the islanding situation. However, the performance of the conventional AFD methods, which have a certain value of cf only, is inefficient and difficult to design the appropriate cf value analytically to meet the limit of harmonics. In this paper, the periodic chopping fraction based on an AFD method is proposed. This proposed method shows the analytical design value of cf to meet the test procedure of IEEE Std. 929-2000 with the power quality and islanding detection time. To verify the validation of the proposed method, the islanding test results are presented. It is confirmed that the proposed method has not only less harmonic distortion but also good performance of islanding detection compare with the conventional AFD method.

  • In future wearable electronic systems, 3-dimensional (3D) devices have attracted much attention due to their high density integration and low-power functionality. Among 3D devices, gate-all-around (GAA) nanowire transistor provides superior gate controllability, resulting in suppressing short channel effect and other drawbacks in 2D metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistor (MOSFET). Silicon nanowires (SiNWs) are the most promising building block for GAA structure device due to their compatibility with the current Si-based ultra large scale integration (ULSI) technology. Moreover, the theoretical limit for subthreshold swing (SS) of MOSFET is 60 mV/dec at room temperature, which causes the increase in Ioff current. To overcome theoretical limit for the SS, it is crucial that research into new types of device concepts should be performed. In our present studies, we have experimentally demonstrated feedback FET (FBFET) and tunnel FET (TFET) with sub-60 mV/dec based on SiNWs. Also, we fabricated SiNW based complementary TFET (c-TFET) and SiNW complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) inverter. Our research demonstrates the promising potential of SiNW electronic devices for future wearable electronic systems.
