  • Since the residential load is an AC load and the output of solar cell is a DC Power, the photovoltaic system needs the DC/AC converter to utilize solar cell. In case of driving to interact with utility line, in order to operate at unity power factor, converter must provide the sinusoidal wave current and voltage with same phase of utility line. Since output of solar cell is greatly fluctuated by insolation. it is necessary that the operation of solar cell output in the range of the vicinity of maximum power point. In this paper DC/AC converter is three phase PWM converter with smoothing reactor. And then, feedforward control used to obtain a superior characteristic for current control and digital PLL circuit used to detect the phase of utility line.

Robust Tracking Control Based on Intelligent Sliding-Mode Model-Following Position Controllers for PMSM Servo Drives

  • In this paper, an intelligent sliding-mode position controller (ISMC) for achieving favorable decoupling control and high precision position tracking performance of permanent-magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) servo drives is proposed. The intelligent position controller consists of a sliding-mode position controller (SMC) in the position feed-back loop in addition to an on-line trained fuzzy-neural-network model-following controller (FNNMFC) in the feedforward loop. The intelligent position controller combines the merits of the SMC with robust characteristics and the FNNMFC with on-line learning ability for periodic command tracking of a PMSM servo drive. The theoretical analyses of the sliding-mode position controller are described with a second order switching surface (PID) which is insensitive to parameter uncertainties and external load disturbances. To realize high dynamic performance in disturbance rejection and tracking characteristics, an on-line trained FNNMFC is proposed. The connective weights and membership functions of the FNNMFC are trained on-line according to the model-following error between the outputs of the reference model and the PMSM servo drive system. The FNNMFC generates an adaptive control signal which is added to the SMC output to attain robust model-following characteristics under different operating conditions regardless of parameter uncertainties and load disturbances. A computer simulation is developed to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed intelligent sliding mode position controller. The results confirm that the proposed ISMC grants robust performance and precise response to the reference model regardless of load disturbances and PMSM parameter uncertainties.

불평형부하를 가지는 다단 H-bridge STATCOM에서 상간 직류전압 불평형의 제어 (Control of DC-side Voltage Unbalance among Phases in Multi-level H-Bridge STATCOM with Unbalanced Load)

  • A cascaded H-bridge multi-level STATCOM(STATic synchronous COMpensator), which is composed of many cell inverters with independent dc-sources, generates inevitably dc-side voltage unbalance among phases when it compensates unbalanced load. It comes from the difference of flowing active power in each phase when this compensator makes negative-sequence current to eliminate the unbalance of source-side current. However, this unbalance can be controlled by injecting zero-sequence current which is decoupled with grid currents, so the compensator can work well during this balancing process. Both a feedback control algorithm, which produces zero-sequence current proportional to dc-side voltage unbalance within each phase, and a feedforward control algorithm, which makes zero-sequence current directly from the compensator's negative-sequence current, were proposed. The dc-side voltage of each phase can be controlled stably by these proposed algorithms in both steady-state and transient, so the compensator can have fast response to satisfy control performance under rapid changing load. These balancing controllers were implemented and verified via simulation and experiment.

Design-Oriented Stability of Outer Voltage Loop in Capacitor Current Controlled Buck Converters

  • Due to the inherent feedforward of load current, capacitor current (CC) control shows a fast transient response that makes it suitable for the power supplies used in various portable electronic devices. However, considering the effect of the outer voltage loop, the stable range of the duty-cycle is significantly diminished in CC controlled buck converters. To investigate the stability effect of the outer voltage loop on buck converters, a CC controlled buck converter with a proportion-integral (PI) compensator is taken as an example, and its second-order discrete-time model is established. Based on this model, the instability caused by the duty-cycle is discussed with consideration of the outer voltage loop. Then the dynamical effects of the feedback gain of the PI compensator and the equivalent series resistance (ESR) of the output capacitor on the CC controlled buck converter with a PI compensator are studied. Furthermore, the design-oriented closed-loop stability criterion is derived. Finally, PSIM simulations and experimental results are supplied to verify the theoretical analyses.

전력케이블 가설용 작업로봇의 구성과 이동/장력 혼합제어에 관한 연구(1) (Scheme and Movement/Tension Control of Working Robot for the Installation of an Overhead Power Cable (1))

  • When a electric power cable is installed in the air for newly or exchanged working, it is necessary at all time to hold a constant tension for an overhead power cable. And also a pendanted power cable is an extreme job to have work in a high sky. For this reason, the objective of this paper developments working robot for preventing disaster that tension of cable installed automatically power cable to hold a constant. So the working robot works at all the time two tasks for mobil and tension it come into a inference between two tasks, control is difficult. Control methode needs to suppress inference of two tasks. In this paper, for installation of overhead power cable, the scheme and control methode of working robot is presented. the robot work at a same time tow tasks that have hold a constant tension of the power cable and move a constant place while unfasten a winding cable at a drum on a chassis. Working robot consist of three parts with mobile system, tension system and control part. As it is applied the feedback/feedforward control, methode of hybrid control is established to suppress that interference come into between two tasks. The simulation programs is made out using models of mobil and tension system, and a proposed controllers. In accordance with simulation, the model of each systems is discussed to make out proper. And also parameters of controllers is selected a suitable value and the driving performance of robot is evaluated.

MAP 기반 DME용 엔진 제어로직 개발 (Development of Map-Based Engine Control Logic for DME Fuel)

  • 본 연구는 DME 연료를 사용할 수 있도록 변경된 엔진의 제어 알고리즘, 로직구성 및 차량상태에서 검증결과를 나타낸 것으로써, 제어구조 및 자동코드 생성기법에 의한 제어로직 설계과정과 제어 맵을 소개하고 최종적으로 제어의 신뢰성 및 성능을 검증한 것이다. 제어구조는 운전자 요구를 엔진발생토크로 구현하기위한 분사제어부와 배기가스 및 동력특성을 만족시키기 위한 공기제어 시스템부로 크게 구성되며, 제어로직은 제어응답성을 향상시키기 위하여 각 제어 기능별로 앞먹임 및 뒤먹임 제어부로 설계되었고, 앞먹임 제어부의 제어 맵은 엔진모델을 이용하여 생성한 뒤, 이를 엔진 및 차량 시험과정에서 보정하였다. 개발된 제어기를 장착하여 차량 시험모드를 완주하였으며, EGR, VGT 및 분사시기 보정에 의하여 배출가스 저감효과를 확인하였다.

클록 손실 측정 기법을 이용한 DDI용 연속 시간 이퀄라이저 (A Continuous-time Equalizer adopting a Clock Loss Tracking Technique for Digital Display Interface(DDI))

  • 본 논문에서는 클록 손실 측정 기법을 이용한 디지털 디스플레이 인터페이스(Digital Display Interface: DDI)용 이퀄라이저를 제안한다. 제안하는 클록 손실 측정 기법은 최저 전압 유지 회로를 사용하여서 채널의 손실 정보를 추출한다. 추출된 손실 정보는 이퀄라이저 필터에 인가되며, 시스템의 안정도를 증가시키기 위해 제안된 이퀄라이저는 피드포워드 구조(Feedforward Loop)로 구현된다. 제안된 이퀄라이저는 0.18um CMOS 공정으로 제작되었으며, 실험 결과 채널 손실이 -33dB인 경우에 1.65Gbps의 신호들이 최소 0.7UI의 Eye Width를 가지게 된다. 또한 최대 10mW 이하의 전력을 소모하며, $0.127mm^2$ 의 유효면적을 차지한다.

저잡음 CMOS 이미지 센서를 위한 10㎛ 컬럼 폭을 가지는 단일 비트 2차 델타 시그마 모듈레이터 (A Single-Bit 2nd-Order Delta-Sigma Modulator with 10-㎛ Column-Pitch for a Low Noise CMOS Image Sensor)

  • 본 논문에서는 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) 응용에 적합한 저잡음 CMOS 이미지 센서에 사용되는 컬럼-패러럴 analog-to-digital converter (ADC) 어레이를 위한 cascaded-of-integrator feedforward (CIFF) 구조의 단일 비트 2차 델타-시그마 모듈레이터를 제안하였다. 제안된 모듈레이터는 CMOS 이미지 센서에 입사된 빛의 신호에 해당하는 픽셀 출력 전압을 디지털 신호로 변환시키는 컬럼-패러럴 ADC 어레이를 위해 하나의 픽셀 폭과 동일한 10㎛ 컬럼 폭 내에 2개의 스위치드 커패시터 적분기와 단일 비트 비교기로 구현하였다. 또한, 모든 컬럼의 모듈레이터를 동시에 구동하기 위한 주변 회로인 비중첩 클록 발생기 및 바이어스 회로를 구성하였다. 제안된 델타-시그마 모듈레이터는 110nm CMOS 공정으로 구현하였으며 12kHz 대역폭에 대해 418의 oversampling ratio (OSR)로 88.1dB의 signal-to-noise-and-distortion ratio (SNDR), 88.6dB의 spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR) 및 14.3비트의 effective-number-of-bits (ENOB)을 달성하였다. 델타 시그마 모듈레이터의 면적 및 전력 소비는 각각 970×10 ㎛2 및 248㎼이다.

엘만 순환 신경망을 사용한 전력 에너지 시계열의 예측 및 분석 (The Prediction and Analysis of the Power Energy Time Series by Using the Elman Recurrent Neural Network)

  • In this paper, we propose an Elman recurrent neural network to predict and analyze a time series of power energy consumption. To this end, we consider the volatility of the time series and apply the sample variance and the detrended fluctuation analyses to the volatilities. We demonstrate that there exists a correlation in the time series of the volatilities, which suggests that the power consumption time series contain a non-negligible amount of the non-linear correlation. Based on this finding, we adopt the Elman recurrent neural network as the model for the prediction of the power consumption. As the simplest form of the recurrent network, the Elman network is designed to learn sequential or time-varying pattern and could predict learned series of values. The Elman network has a layer of "context units" in addition to a standard feedforward network. By adjusting two parameters in the model and performing the cross validation, we demonstrated that the proposed model predicts the power consumption with the relative errors and the average errors in the range of 2%~5% and 3kWh~8kWh, respectively. To further confirm the experimental results, we performed two types of the cross validations designed for the time series data. We also support the validity of the model by analyzing the multi-step forecasting. We found that the prediction errors tend to be saturated although they increase as the prediction time step increases. The results of this study can be used to the energy management system in terms of the effective control of the cross usage of the electric and the gas energies.

Rail-to-Rail 입력단과 출력단을 갖는 3 V CMOS 연산증폭기의 최적 설계에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Optimum Design for 3 V CMOS Operational Amplifier with Rail-to-Rail Input Stage and Output Stage)

  • This paper presents a 2-stage, simple, power-efficient 3V CMOS operational amplifier and its equation based design optimization. Because of its simple structure, it is very suitable as a VLSI library cell in analog/digital mixed-mode systems. The op-amp, which contains a constant-$g_m$ rail-to-rail input stage and a simple feedforward class-AB rail-to-rail output stage, is analyzed and the results are presented in the form of design equations and procedures, which provide an insight into the trade-offs among performance requirements. The results of SPICE simulations are shown to agree very welt with the use of design equations.
