Sensitivity Analysis of Power System Including Series FACTS Device Based on RCF Method (직렬형 FACTS 설비를 포함하는 전력시스템의 RCF 해석법에 기초한 감도해석)

  • In this paper, the RCF method is used in sensitivity analysis problems of the discrete power systems including both series FACTS equipments such as TCSC in transmission lines and generator controllers such as Exciter and PSS in generator terminal. To apply the RCF method in small signal stability problems of discrete power systems, state transition equations of controllers and TCSC are derived and the sensitivity calculation algorithm using state transition equations in discrete time domain is devised. The results of eigenvalue analysis showed that the variations of eigenvalues after periodic switching operations of TCSC can be calculated exactly by the RCF method and the change of firing angles in TCSC have important effect to determine the stability of power systems.

  • In this paper the structure of 2-DOF controller based on artificial immune network algorithms has been suggested for nonlinear system. Up to present time, a number of structures of the 2-DOF controllers are considered as 2-DOF (2-Degrees Of Freedom) control functions. However, a general view is provided that they are the special cases of either the state feedback or the modification of PID controllers. On the other hand, the immune network system possesses a self organizing and distributed memory, also it has an adaptive function by feed back law to its external environment and allows a PDP (parallel distributed processing) network to complete patterns against the environmental situation, since antibody recognizes specific antigens which are the foreign substances that invade living creatures. Therefore, it can provide optimal solution to external environment. Simulation results by immune based 2-DOF controller reveal that immune algorithm is an effective approach to search for 2-DOF controller.

  • The naval vessel must moves rolling, pitching, yawing by wave when it runs in ocean. Some narrow beam antenna needed position compensation by stabilizer or gimbal for best performance. This paper presents the precision position control for heavy weight(130kg) in roll and pitch direction. Generally it's called for gimbal. This gimbal uses P-I controller, and it's driven by linear actuator and servo motor. This gimbal gets ship's gyro signal and synchro, which have the absolute angle value. Some other similar equipments are driven by huge hydraulic power, but this gimbal is driven by small servo motor. This control loop gets the following procedure repeatedly; reading ship gyro and gimbal synchro, calculating compensated error and control output, driving motor and actuator The performance of gimbal system was satisfied.

  • This paper presents a new on-line generator simulator which can be utilized for the control parameter setting of the exciter and the power system stabilizer (PSS). The proposed simulator equipped with A/D and D/A channels through which actual exciter and PSS can be connected. System parameters and disturbance sequence are easily programmed using friendly developed interface. The developed simulator is tested and verified by connecting a simple AVR implemented by op-amps.

  • 전력시스템안정기는 전력시스템의 저주파 댐핑을 효율적으로 향상시키기 위해 사용되는 제어기이다. 전력시스템안정기의 동적 특성은 위상 보상기의 이득과 시정수와 같은 선형 파라미터와 출력 리미터와 같이 비평활, 비선형 특성을 나타내는 비선형 파라미터에 영향을 받는다. 기존의 선형 제어 방법인 고유치 분석을 통한 선형 파라미터의 최적화 방법은 소신호 동작 범위에 대한 최적화 기법이기 때문에 큰 상정사고 시 효과적인 댐핑 향상을 보장할 수 없게 된다. 이를 극복하기 위하여 하이브리드 시스템에 신경회로망을 임베디드화하여 체계적인 방법으로 비선형 파라미터를 최적화한 후, 고유치 분석을 통해 선형 파라미터를 최적화함으로 전력시스템안정기의 성능 향상을 도모할 수 있다.

  • In this paper describe the block simulator that simulate generator's contoler such as governor, exciter and stabilizer. To use legacy tool such as PSS/E for user defined model is very difficult. The simulation tool such as Matlab/Simulink is easy to simulate user defined model but integrate simulation and power system network analysis is unavailable. As a result this paper show that block simulator for contoler model verify. It is include block simulator design, implementation and verify to Matlab/Simulink.

  • 본 논문에서는 Lie Group 및 Lie Transformation의 수학적인 근원을 분석하고 이를 비선형 제어기에 제공하였다. 제어기의 구성형태는 Lead-Lag와 LQR 관측기를 결합한 혼합형 비선형 전력계통안정화장치(NPSS)이다. 이 분석에 사용된 제어기는 첫째로 기존의 PSS type인 Lead-Lag 형태의 선형화 제어기이다. 둘째로 제안된 제어기는 Lie group theory를 적용하여 이를 상태변수에 반영한 Lead-Lag와 LQR 관측기를 결합한 것이다. 제안된 혼합형 비선형 전력계통안정화장치(NPSS)의 효과분석은 MATLAB을 이용하였다. 분석모델은 1기 4차 비선형 전력계통의 모델에 적용하였다.

  • 이 논문에서는 Nonlinear Observer Backstepping 출력 궤환 제어에 의한 비선형 전력계통안정화장치(NPSS)를 개발하였다. 이 기법은 출력단자의 측정만으로 매우 강한 전력계통의 고유한 특징인 강한 비선형을 처리할 수 있는 바람직한 제어기를 구성할 수가 있다. 첫 번째로 비선형 관측기를 통하여 측정할 수 없는 부분의 상태들을 대신할 수 있는 출력 궤환 관측기를 구성하는 것이다. 두 번째로 이렇게 구성된 관측기에 매번 상태를 반영할 수 있는 backstepping 제어기를 적응하는 것이다. 시뮬레이션을 통한 제안된 제어기의 효과는 비 제어시, 기존의 Lead-Lag PSS, 그리고 제안된 Nonlinear Observer backstepping 출력 궤환 제어에 기준한 비선형 PSS를 비교 검토하였다.

  • In this study, the balance beam control subsystem, new type of construction machinery using the mechanism of CMG (control moment gyro), for the attitude control of an unstructured object such as a beam carried by a tower crane, is designed and implemented. The balance beam controller consists of a wheel spinning at high speed and an outer gimbal for controlling the attitude of the wheel. Two motors, one for the wheel and the other for the gimbal, are used. Applying force to the spin axis of the wheel, as an input of the system, leads the torque about the axis because of the gyro effects. This torque is used to control the attitude of the unstructured object in this study. For the stabilizer function, in addition, holding the load at the current position, the attitude of the wheel is freed by cutting the power applied to the gimbal motor of the balance beam controller, which result in the braking force to stop the load by gyro effect. The works presented here include the mechanical system of the balance beam controller, the remote controller, the servo controller and the control software for the system. We also present experimental results to show that the system we proposed is useful as a new construction machinery which can control the attitude of the beam hanging from a tower crane.

A Study on the Effect of Controllers in Small Signal Stability of Power Systems (전력계통의 미소신호안정도에 미치는 제어기의 영향에 관한 연구)

  • The effect of controllers-Exciter, Power System Stabilizer, and Static Var Compensator-in one machine infinite bus system is investigated in this paper. The structure of generator state matrix with controllers is represented, while the Static Var Compensator is installed in generator terminal bus. Eigen-value analysis is performed and the effects of controllers to the dominant eigenvalue in one machine infinite bus system are represented by first order eigenvalue sensitivity coefficients while the operating conditions of the system are varied. Optimization of controller parameters using first order eigenvalue sensitivity coefficients is performed by the Simplex Method. It is proved that exciter control is the most efficient method to improve stability of the system and the effect of Static Var Compensator is small, in the case of one machine infinite bus system.
