  • This study examines the concepts and characteristics of Interculturalism and extracts artistic expressions of intercultural characteristics shown in Nouvelle Danse and Non-Danse, which were the birthplace of the contemporary dance flow in Europe. The discussion and composition of these dances will be analyzed from an intercultural perspective by selecting three works by each choreographer representing Nouvelle Danse and Non- Danse. In doing so, we would like to examine what creative acceptance was achieved based on the values and understanding in the clash and encounter between different cultures in art. Dance and interculturalism emphasize exchanges and encounters between one's own culture and other cultures. In addition, it has the potential to contribute to dance studies through the humanistic perspective of dance, as it also contains issues about diversity and identity due to exchange between cultures at the center of globalization. Therefore, the purpose of the study is to read the artistic expressions of choreographers in Nouvelle d'Anse and Non-d'Anse through intercultural understanding with an in-depth understanding and to interpret them by adding multi-layered time to the study.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the research published in Korea on the live atrium of Toegye Lee Hwang and present its applicability as a health dance program. To this end, Korean academic journals, the Korean Institute of Information Scientists and Engineers, and DBpia searched Korean journal publications with the keyword 'active visit', and 24 articles published from 1974 to December 2018 were classified into the Korean Research Foundation.According to the criteria, they were classified and analyzed into subclasses. As a result, first, the research trends of academic disciplines by year tended to increase the participation of various academic disciplines in the atrium. The interests of the live atrium differed in the order of physical education.Second, in terms of research subjects, more researches attempted to identify active atria as a research topic than research suggesting a plan.Third, the trends of the research topics were in order to study academic definition of live atrium, to find out the relationship between live atrium and other disciplines, to propose ways to use them, and to develop programs.Fourth, by applying the live atrium to a dance program, we found the potential as a dance program for health promotion. It is expected that these findings will not only provide the basic data for the possibility of a health dance program integrated with various fields, but also contribute to the search for the direction of health dance program research.

  • This study aims to expose the potential dangers of K-pop through the past and present of K-pop choreography copyrights and to suggest the need to secure digital choreography copyrights for the sustainability of K-pop considering national responsibility. As the content industry quickly sought countermeasures to digital transformation, such as the launch of K-pop platforms and the evolution of OMO (Online Merges with Offline) media commerce in response to changes in the industrial environment due to COVID-19, the annual export of the domestic content industry increased by 6.3% compared to the previous year. Accordingly, our copyright does not require that works be fixed in tangibles, as in Japan and Germany, on the basis of entrusting each country's legislation to determine whether to require fixation on choreographed works. On the other hand, the United States, France and the United Kingdom are demanding that it be fixed. Although choreography is at the center of K-pop and the value and influence of K-pop videos including cover dance through new media are discussed from various perspectives, copyright on choreography that needs to be resolved in business platforms for K-pop scalability The fact that there is such a big difference in problem perception is an area where we must not lose our vigilance. As the development of today's technology, the method of fixing a choreography looks very easy as an image, but at the same time can be stolen very quickly. Therefore, compared to overseas cases, it is urgent to improve the difference in perception of copyright registration for K-pop choreography and to supplement the system include the NFT.

According to methodological research of practice-based research, three stages which is practice, theory and evaluation were accumulated as somatic data, And the analysis was provided a basis by presenting in a figuration, form of the movement and method of specialization with reference to the paper 『space design and forming practice』(2003). As a result, the creation process was able to discover the musical effect of the sound in daily life and new method of choreography, and also find the possibilities that sound could convey the theme of the dance work, the meaning of the movement and the overall atmosphere of the work to audience. • The rich cultural backgrounds and practices of children from native cultures are often absent in classroom instruction, as teachers might feel that they have inadequate knowledge and backgrounds in the unique practices of these populations. Historically, children from native cultures have had challenging educational experiences and poor educational outcomes. To address these challenges, we propose a Family and Culture Based (FCB) framework that draws from family-centered practice, asset-based practice, and culturally responsive pedagogy. This article describes the three steps of the FCB framework, which uses a teacher-as-learner approach to instruct students from native cultures by engaging teachers in reflection, gaining knowledge about the cultural practices of the family and community, and integrating the new knowledge into practice. We use a Pacific Islands case (Native Hawaiian family) and a Pacific Northwest case (First Nations family) to illustrate the potential benefits of using the FCB framework with indigenous students.

  • This study examines Korea's international development volunteer program as a citizen diplomacy initiative. Informed by a cultural perspective of transmission and relational models of public diplomacy, I examine the ways in which volunteer training incorporates cultural-learning into its program. The study finds that volunteer training is largely based on an instrumentalist approach to culture that places emphasis on learning the "explicit" side of culture, such as Korean traditional dance, art, and food as a strategy to promote the country's national image. In contrast, much less covered in the training program is a relational approach to culture-learning that is guided by a reflexive understanding of the "implicit" side of culture, or the values and beliefs that guide the worldviews and behavior of both volunteers and host constituents. Whereas the value of the volunteer program as a citizen diplomacy initiative is in its potential to build relationships based on two-way engagement, its conception of culture is mostly guided by that of the transmission model of public diplomacy. Based on the findings, this study calls for an integrated approach to culture-learning in volunteer training program to move the citizen diplomacy initiative forward.
