이식용(移植用)Pot의 제조(製造) 및 그 효과(効果)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) (Studies on the Manufacture of Fiber Pot and its Effect for the Good Transplanting)

  • 본(本) 연구(硏究)는 산지이식(山地移植)에서 Jiffy pot를 fiber pot로 대체가능(對替可能)한가 알아보기 위해 수행(遂行)되었다. fiber pot는 fiber, wood waste particle, particle 량(量)의 10%에 해당하는 bark powder로 만들어졌고 또 latex가 결합제(結合劑)로 첨가(添加)되었다. pot는 식물(植物)이 자라는 동안 pot벽(壁)의 wood fiber 분해(分解)에서 생기는 배양토(培養土)의 N흠핍증(欠乏症)을 막기 위해 충분(充分)한 요소액(尿素液)으로 spray되었다. fiber pot의 이용가능성(利用可能性)은 온실조건(溫室條件)하에 두 수종(樹種)의 service test에서 Jiffy pot와 비교(比較)되었다. 결과(結果)는 다음과 같이 요약(要約)된다. 1. 비중(比重), 비인열도(比引裂度), 비파열도(比破裂度)에 있어서 30% wood fiber+10%의 bark powder를 포함(包含)한 70% particle과 3% latex로 된 fiber pot가 Jiffy pot에서와 같은 좋은 결과(結果)를 나타냈다. 흡수력(吸水力)에 있어서는 50% fiber+50% particle과 3%-latex로 된 fiber pot가 가장 좋은 결과(結果)를 나타냈다. 뿌리의 pot벽(壁) 관통(貫通), 취급편의성(取扱便宜性)에 대(對)한 상기(上記) 물리적(物理的), 기계적(機械的) 성질(性質)을 고려(考慮)할 때 30%fiber+70%particle과 3%-latex로 된 fiber pot가 좋을 것으로 보였다. 2. Jiffy pot와 마찬가지로 fiber pot에서도 묘목생장(苗木生長)에는 아무런 해(害)가 없었다. 뿌리의 pot벽(壁) 관통능력(貫通能力)은 Jiffy pot보다 fiber pot가 다소 뒤지나 운반(運搬)에 의(依)한 pot의 손상(損傷)은 Jiffy pot보다 약간 더 경미(輕微)했다.

옥수수, 수수, 수수-수단그라스 교잡종 및 진주조의 Simazine과 Alachlor에 대한 저항성 (Tolerance of Corn, Sorghum, Sorghum-Sudangrass Hybrid, and Pearl Millet to Simazine and Alachlor)

  • 옥수수, 수수, 수수-수단그라스, 진주조 등 경지사료작물의 simazine과 alachlor에 대한 저항성과 제초효과를 알기 위하여 1988년 봄에 포장시험, 여름과 가을에 pot 시험을 하였다. 공시품종은 옥수수 진주옥, 수수는 Pioneer(P) 931, P947, P956, 수수-수단그라스는 P855F, P988, 진주조는 수원 1호, 수원 6호이었고 시험에 따라 알맞은 품종을 선택하였다. 제초제는 봄의 포장시험과 여름 pot히험은 simazine 수화제(50% ai, g/10a): alachlor 유제(43.7% ai, ml/10a)를 제품량으로 130:0, 100:0, 70:200, 0:300, 0:400의 비율로 처리하였고, 가을 pot 시험은 수수 P 931에 alachlor를 0, 50, 100, 200, 300, 400ml/10a과 simazine : alachlor를 70(g/10a) : 200(ml/10a)으로 처리하였다. 1. 옥수수는 포장시험과 여름 pot 시험에서 모두 simazine과 alachlor에 의하여 출아률, 입묘률, 유묘의 초장과 건물종, 간장, 건물수량 등에 영향을 받지 않았다. 2. 수수와 수수-수단그라스는 포장시험에서 simazine과 alachlor에 의해 유묘의 생육과 건물수량이 영향을 받지 않았다. Simazine은 여름 pot 시험에서 출아률과 유묘의 생존률에는 영향이 없었으나 초장과 건물종은 감소시켰다. Alachlor는 여름 pot시험에서 출아률은 약간 감소시켰지만 유묘의 생존률, 초장, 건물종을 현저히 감소시켰다. 가을 pot 시험에서 alachlor는 수수의 출아률에는 영향을 미치지 않았으나 100ml/10a 이상에서는 약량이 증가할수록 유묘의 생존률, 초장, 건물종이 감소하였으나 여름보다 생육이 덜 억제되었다. 3. 진주조는 봄의 포장시험에서는 simazine에 의하여 입묘률, 간장, 건물수량에 영향을 받지 않았지만 여름 pot 시험에서는 유묘의 생존률, 초장, 건물종이 다소 감소되었다. Alachlor는 포장에서 입묘률을 감소시켜 수량이 감소하였고, 여름 pot 시험에서는 출아률은 다소 감소하였으나 출아한 개체는 하나도 생존하지 않았다. 4. Simazine은 바랭이, 강아지풀, 피 등 화본두잡초에는 효과가 적었으나 광엽잡초는 방제하였고, alachlor는 화본두 잡초와 쇠비름, 비름 등 광엽잡초는 방제하였으나 깨풀과 명아주는 방제되지 않았다. 수확기의 잡초 잔초량은 simazine과 alachlor의 혼합처리에서 가장 적었으며, 작물의 건물수량이 많으면 잔초량은 적었다.

Effect of Hydrogel on Survial of Serratia plymuthica A21-4 in Soils and Plant Disease Suppression

  • Survival of biocontrol agents and their effective colonization of rhizhosphere are the essential components for successful disease suppression. The effects of hydrogel supplement on bacterial survival and disease control were evaluated in pot and in the field. Addition of 2% hydrogel material to potting soil resulted in significant enhancement of colonization of biocontrol agent Serratia plymuthica A21-4 both in soil and rhizosphere of pepper plants. Rhizosphere colonization of S. plymuthica A21-4 retrieved from 40 days old pepper seedlings indicated 100 times higher bacterial population in hydrogel treated soil than in ordinary pot soil. The pepper plants sown in hydrogelated potting soil showed higher seed germination rate and the better growth of pepper plant than those in ordinary commercial pot soil. Although the suppression of Phytophthora capsid density in the potting soil by treatment of biocontrol agent A21-4 was not significantly different between in hydrogelated soil and ordinary potting soil, the suppression of Phytophthora blight between two treatments was significantly different. A21-4 treatment in hydrogelated potting soil was completely disease-free while same treatment in ordinary potting soil revealed 36% disease incidence. Our field study under natural disease occurrence also showed significantly less disease incidence(12.3%) in the A21-4 treatment in the hydrogelated soil compared to other treatments. Yield promotion of pepper by the A21-4 treatment in the hydrogelated potting soil was also recognized. Our results indicated that hydrogel amendment with biocontrol agent in pot soil would be a good alternative to protect pepper seedlings and increase plant yield.

온실에서의 꽈리고추 소비수량 (Water Consumption of Twisted Sweet Pepper in Greenhouse)

  • This study was performed to figure out water consumption of the twisted sweet pepper in a greenhouse. Obtained results are as follows; 1. The ambient temperature was nearly same as the normal year, while the average air temperature and the relative humidity in the green house were little bit higher than those of the outside condition. The transparency of the greenhouse roof was approximately 50%. The total amount of rainfall during the irrigation period was 1,040㎜ which is 350㎜ higher than 1997 during the same period. 2. In case of pot cultivation, as the saturation ratio was increased, the aeaf area and plant height and yield were also increased. The yield from the field cultivation was higher than the average yield from the pot cultivations which are treated by three levels of saturation ratio. 3. The variation of daily consumptive use of the twisted sweet pepper was very large in it's range. In case of the pot cultivation, as the saturation was increased, the daily and the total consumptive use were increased. 4. The daily consumptive use was strongly correlated with the ambient temperature, while it was weakly correlated with the relative humidity and solar radiation. 5. There were close correlation between plant environment; leaf area, plant height and yield, and consumptive use. As the saturation ratio was increased, the correlation between those plant factors and consumptive use was getting stronger.

Growth and Development of Platycodon grandiflorus under Sensor-based Soil Moisture Control on Open Farmland and Pot Conditions

  • Soil moisture control system including soil sensing and automatic water supply chain was constructed on open farmland and pot conditions. Soil moisture was controlled by the system showing over the soil moisture contents except 40% treatment. EC was gradually decreased by increasing cultivation days. On applying this system to control soil moisture, the growth and development characters of the bellflower were improved compared with control, cultivation without the automatic irrigation. Of the growth and development characters, plant height with water treatments was higher than that of control in 1st-year plants. Moreover, numbers of branch were increased by the increased soil moisture on farmland and pot condition. Capsule numbers for seed were best at 20%, 30% soil moisture treatment in 1st-year plants, and 20% to 50% treatment in 2nd-year plants. The construction of automatic soil moisture control system provide fundamental data for plant growth and development on open farmland soil condition.

작물에 흡수된 방사성 동위원소의 내부 조사 효과에 관한 연구 (IV) -교맥 생장에 미치는 P-32 시용의 잔유 효과- (Studies on the effects of radiation from radioisotopes incorporated in plant (IV) -The effects of P-32 application on the growth of buckwheat-)

  • Buckwheat seeds produced in previous year (1965) in an experimental pot culture in which nine levels of P-32 ranging from $1.4{\times}10-4 to 3.3{\times}104$\mu$c/pot(as of 27 July 1965)$, with the same specific activity, had been applied to the corresponding pots respectively, were used this year(1996) in water and soil culture as well as in germination test to investigate the feature and extent of possible residual effects of P-32 incorporated upon germination and plant growth, and the following results were obtained: 1. Under the given experimental conditions both stimulative and inhibitory effects of radiation were observed. 2. The germination rate of the seeds was lower at the higher level of P-32 aplication ranging from $3.0{\times}103 to 3.3{\times}104$\mu$c/pot$ and higher at 0.2 $\mu$c P/pot than the control. 3. Among the seeds produced at the higher level of application about 80% was failed to germinate, owing to the radiation injury. The remaining 80% was failed to germinate, owing to the radiation injury. The remaining 80% survived the damaging effect and showed vigorous growth and increased yield. The latter group of seeds thus proved themselves to be more radioresistant than the former. 4. The survived seeds produced later more straw and root on dry weight basis. The higher the level of P-32 applied, the stronger the stimulative effect showed in vegetative growth. 5. No radiation effect on linear growth of the plants was observed in the soil culture. 6. The dry weight of straw produced showed little difference at the moderate range compared with that of control in the soil culture. At high level of application, i.e. over $\mu$c P32/pot, however, the production was increased by 12-37% of control. 7. As for the dry weight of root harvested, the P-32 treatment over 24$\mu$c P32/pot produced 82-155% more than the control, whereas little difference was observed under 2.2$\mu$c P32/pot. 8. The seed production increased in general by the P-32 treatments. Particularly at the moderate level of application the rate of increase amounted to 70% of the control. 9. Those individual plants which survived damaging effects of radiation at the germinating stage shwoed remarkable stimulative effects both in vegetative and in reproductive stage of growth.

훼손지 비탈면 녹화용 식물소재로의 문수조릿대의 적용성 연구 (Use of Arundinaria munsuensis Y. Lee as Revegetation Plant Materials of Damaged Slopes)

  • The study of Arundinaria munsuensis Y. Lee to this day was limited to the field of morphological species classification since its first discovery at Jiri mountain in the late 1990s. This native plants, one of Korean endemic species found in Jiri Mt. necessitates further studies about its use as revegetation plants or groundcover plants in urban areas. This study was launched from this need followed by summaries of results below related to its usage. This targeted species is a native Korean species which its natural distribution on the subalpine zone has merit for the wide range of climatic adaptation. Also, the coverage rate reached 78.3% in three years mostly by rhizome growth with an expectation of full coverage in four years providing less maintenance needs after planting. The net price for the construction of pot seedling methods of this plants is relatively economical than other normal revegetation construction methods. For these reasons, drilling for the plants on cut and fill soil slopes driven from pot seedling adapts Arundinaria munsuensis Y. Lee as efficient revegetation plant. Total construction cost for pot seedling work($30cm{\times}30cm$) of Arundinaria munsuensis was approximately 21,000won which is in reasonable price range when compared to other revegetation construction methods of disturbed slopes. As a native Korean plant, Arundinaria munsuensis has wide range of climatic adaptation with less maintenance requirement after planting. This study may suggest a strong possibility of Arundinaria munsuensis as a pot planting material in sloped area.

무와 배추의 생장에 미치는 Alcohol의 영향 (Growth-promoting effects of alcohol on Korean radish and cabbage)

  • This study is an evaluation of growth-promoting effects of methyl and ethyl alcohol on Korean radish and cabbage in the soil. In an experiment as College of Education, Seoul National University, Silt loams, which are treated seven times with methyl and ethyl alcohol at rates from 0.5cc. to 2.5cc. per pot, definitely increase growth rate of radish and cabbage seedlings originating from sterilized seeds. A strong, stimulating effect on the growth of radish and cabbage seedlings is produced when a rate of 0.5cc. per pot of alcohol is applied to pot soils. The effect of methyl alcohol is stronger in fresh weight, dry weight, and average height of radish and cabbage than that of ethyl alcohol.

화분(花盆)의 수분증발(水分蒸發)이 분식화훼류(盆植花卉類)의 생육(生育)에 미치는 영향(影響) (Effects of Evaporative Water-loss from Cultural Pots on Growth of Pot-grown Ornamental Plants)

  • 분종류(盆種類)에 따른 수분증발량(水分蒸發量), 분내토양온도(盆內土壤溫度) 및 토양공기조성(土壤空氣組成)의 차(差)를 조사(調査)하고, 이들 조건(條件)이 분식물(盆植物)의 생육(生育)에 미치는 영향(影響)을 구명(究明)하기 위해 본(本) 실험(實驗)을 수행(遂行)하였다. 분종류(盆種類)는 토분(土盆)(CP), 도자기분(盆)(POP), 프라스틱분(盆)(PLP)을 사용(使用)하였으며, 토분(土盆)을 사용(使用)할 경우 수분증발량(水分蒸發量)을 감소시키기 위한 방법(方法)으로서 토분외벽(土盆外壁)에 녹색(綠色)페인트를 칠한 것(CP-P), 투명(透明)니스를 칠한 것(CP-V), 토분내면(土盆內面)에 polyethylene film을 깐 것(CP-PI) 및 토분(土盆)의 분토표면(盆土表面)을 흑색(黑色) polyethylene film으로 피복한 것(CP-PM) 등을 사용(使用)하였다. 공시식물(供試植物)로서는 봉선화, 국화(菊花), 코스모스, 양담장이, 제라늄, 코키아, 만수국(萬壽菊), 엽모단(葉牡丹) 및 샐비어등(等)을 사용(使用)하였다. 1. PLP, POP, CP-P, CP-V 및 CP-PI에서 자란 식물(植物)은 CP에서 자란 식물(植物)보다 건물중(乾物重)이 무거웠다. 2. 모든 공시식물(供試植物)의 초장(草長)은 PLP, POP, CP-P, CP-V 및 CP-PI에서는 CP에서 보다 컸다. 3. Geranium의 엽수(葉數)는 PLP, POP, CP-P 및 CP-V는 CP에 비(比)해 많았다. 4. Balsam의 전생육기간중(全生育期間中)의 개화수(開花數)는 PLP, CP-P, POP, CP-V 및 CP-PI는 CP에 비(比)해 많았다. Marigold는 balsam과 비슷한 경향(傾向)을 나타내었으며, salvia는 화수수(花穗數)는 차(差)가 없으나 화수장(花穗長) 및 소화수(小花數)는 balsam 및 marigold의 개화수(開花數)와 동일(同一)한 경향(傾向)을 나타내었다. 5. PLP와 POP의 1일(日) 평균(平均) 증발량(蒸發量)은 CP의 약(約) 43%였으며, CP는 총증발량(總蒸發量)의 2/3가 벽면(壁面)을 통(通)해 증발(蒸發)되었다. 6. 분(盆)으로부터의 수분증발율(水分蒸發率)은 PLP, POP, CP-P, CP-V, CP-PI, CP-PM 및 CP의 순으로 늦었으며, 수분함량(水分含量)은 벽면증발(壁面蒸發)이 억제(抑制)된 분(盆)에서 관수(灌水) 1일후(日后)부터 CP보다 많았다. 7. 분토(盆土)의 온도(溫度)는 증발량(蒸發量)이 많은 분(盆)일수록 낮았으며, 분종류(盆種類)에 따른 온도차(溫度差)는 주간(晝間)에는 컷으나 야간(夜間)에는 적었다. 8. 분토중(盆土中)의 산소농도(酸素濃度)는 무공성분(無孔性盆)이 CP에 비(比)해 약간 낮았고, 그 차이(差異)는 0.40~1.2%였으며, 산소농도(酸素濃度)의 범위는 17.95~19.62%였다. 탄산(炭酸)깨스농도(濃度)는 무공성분(無孔性盆)이 토분(土盆)보다 높았으며, 농도(濃度)범위는 0.59~1.76%였는데 이 범위의 공기조성(空氣組成)은 식물생육(植物生育)에 아무런 영향을 미치지 않았다. 9. 분토(盆土)의 수분함량(水分含量)과 식물생육간(植物生育間)에는 정(正)의 상관(相關)을 나타내었다. 10. CP에 재배(栽培)한 식물(植物)은 PLP에 재배(栽培)한 식물(植物)보다 지상부중(地上部中)의 총질소함량(總窒素含量)이 약간 많았으며 C/N율(率)이 다소 낮은 경향(傾向)을 나타내었다. 이러한 결과(結果)로 보아 분내토양공기중(盆內土壤空氣中)의 산소(酸素) 및 탄산(炭酸)깨스농도(濃度)는 분식물(盆植物)의 생육(生育)을 조해(阻害)할 정도로 낮아지거나 높아지지 않아서 분식물(盆植物)의 생육(生育)에 영향(影響)을 미치지 않으며, 벽면증발량(壁面蒸發量)의 다소(多少)에 따른 분내토양중(盆內土壤中)의 수분함량(水分含量)의 변화(變化)가 분식물(盆植物)의 생육(生育)에 가장 큰 영향(影響)을 미치므로 무공성분(無孔性盆)의 이용(利用)은 특(特)히 우리나라에서 관수노력(灌水勞力)을 절약(節約)할 수 있어서 생산비절감(生産費節減)을 가져올 수 있다.

오챠드그라스의 하고 경감에 미치는 규산 시용의 효과 (Effect of Silicate Application on the Reduction of Summer Drought Phenomenon of Orchardgrass(Dactylis glomerata L.))

  • 규산 시용에 의한 하고기 오챠드그라스의 고온장해 경감 효과를 구명하기 위하여 온냉조절 온실에서 식양질토로서 Pot 재배하여 정상 관리한 상태하에서 오챠드그라스의 생육, 규산흡수능력 및 엽신중 에틸렌 생성량을 분석한 후 재배환경(온도, 토양수분등)이 불량한 야산지 토양에서 실증시험하여 하고기의 수양성과 식료영양가를 검토한 결과 ; 1. Pot 재배에서는 규산 시용량 증가로 오챠드그라스의 초장이 길어졌고 직립화 되었으며 생률중 및 건초중이 증가되었다. 또한 엽신중 규산함량은 증가된 반면 에틸렌 생성은 줄어들어 엽신고사율도 낮아졌다. 2. 야산지 토양에서도 규산 시용으로 에틸렌생성이 현저히 줄었고 사료생산에 있어서도 사료가를 낮추지 않으면서 하고기 이전에는 11 %, 하고기에는 9 %의 증수를 가져와 하고경감(고온장해) 효과가 인정되었다.
