  • Hearing impairment children possess poor underlying perceptual knowledge of the sound system and show delayed development of segmental organization of that system. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between phonological awareness ability and word identification ability in hearing impaired children. 14 children with moderately severe hearing loss participated in this study. All tasks were individually administered. Phonological awareness tests consisted of syllable blending, syllable segmentation, syllable deletion, body-coda discrimination, phoneme blending, phoneme segmentation and phoneme deletion. Close-set Monosyllabic Words(12 items) and lists 1 and 2 of open-set Monosyllabic Words in EARS-K were examined for word identification. Results of this study were as follows: First, from the phonological awareness task, the close-set word identification showed a high positive correlation with the coda discrimination, phoneme blending and phoneme deletion. The open-set word identification showed a high positive correlation with phoneme blending, phoneme deletion and phoneme segmentation. Second, from the level of phonological awareness, the close-set word identification showed a high positive correlation with the level of body-coda awareness and phoneme awareness while the open-set word identification showed a high positive correlation only with the level of phoneme awareness.

  • A study was carried out to investigate the sanitary condition of 107 wells in Jungil Ri, Kyunggi province and Daeso Ri, Choongbuck province, from July 1, to August 30, 1975. In this study, coliform groups were examined by the membrane filter method as well as general sanitary condition, pH value, ammonia nitrogen, hardness and water temperature. The following results were obtained: 1. Average value of general sanitary condition in the wells were 15$\circ$C in temperature, pH 6.4, hardness 124ppm and Cl ion 34ppm. 2. Coliform group was positive at all out of 30 open wells and 33 out of 45 pumped wells, while only 7 out of 32 tap water in the simple typed water supply system showed the evidence of coliform groups. 3. The positive rate of ammonia nitrogen revealed 13% out of 107 wells and that of nitrite nitrogen was 36.4% and 6 wells rate of 5.6% were ammonia nitrogen and nitrite nitrogen positive at same time. 4. Colflorin group positive of 32 tap water in the simple typed water supply system 3(27%) out of 11 samples with no residual chlorine, 3(17%) out of 17 with 0.1 to 0.5ppm, 1 out of 3 with 0.6 to 1.0 ppm and none out of 1 with 1.1 to 1.5 ppm.

  • Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus (SARS-CoV2) is a major coronavirus that infects humans with human Coronavirus (HuCoV)-229E, HCoV-OC43, HCoV-HKU1, HCoV-NL63, Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus (SARS-CoV) and Middle east respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MERS-CoV). SARS-CoV2 is currently a global pandemic pathogen. In this study, we developed conventional RT-PCR based diagnostic system for the detection of SARS-CoV2 which is relatively inexpensive but has high stability and a wide range of users. Three conventional RT-PCR primer sets capable of forming specific band sizes by targeting the ORF1ab [232 nucleotide (nt)], E (200 nt) and N (288 nt) genes of SARS-CoV2 were developed, respectively, and it were confirmed to be about 10~100 times higher detection sensitivity than the previously reported methods. In addition, a standard positive control that can generate specific amplicons by reacting with the developed RT-PCR primers and verify the false-positiv from contamination of the laboratory was produced. Therefore, the diagnostic system that uses the RT-PCR method is expected to be used to detect SARS-CoV2.

  • Intelligent applications are crucial for increasing the popularity of shared urban electric bicycles (EBs). Building an application platform architectural system that can satisfy independent user operations is critical for increasing the intelligent usage of shared EBs. Consequently, we collected online reviews of shared EB applications, conducted semantic processing and sentiment analysis, and refined the positive and negative review data for each function. The positive and negative review indices of each function were calculated using the formulae for positive and negative review indices of product functions, thereby determining the functions that need to be improved. Each function of the Shared EB application was improved according to its business process. The main contributions of this study are to build a user requirement architecture system for the Shared EB application with five dimensions and 22 functions using the Delphi method to design the user interface (UI) of this application based on user satisfaction evaluation results; to create a high-fidelity dynamic interaction prototype and compare user satisfaction before and after improving the Shared EB application functions. The testing results indicate that the changes in the UI significantly improve the user experience satisfaction of the urban Shared EB application, with the positive experience index increasing by 69.21% and the negative experience index decreasing by 75.85% overall. This information can be directly used by relevant companies to improve the functions of the Shared EB application.

  • Sulfonamides are widely used to treat mastitis of cattle in field. The study was carried out to analyze sulfonamid residues In raw milk from south Kyeonggi area. The milk sample was deproteinated with acetone and defatted with hexane. The residual sulfonamides were extracted with ethylacetate, concentrated under vaccum, reconstituted with the acetate buffer-methanol mixture, reacted with fluorescamine, and then analyzed by HPLC-fluorescence detector(EX. 39nm, Em. 495nm) with methanol : acetate buffer system(3/2, v /v) as a mobile phase. The results analyzed by Thin layer chromatography and High performance liquid chromatography were summarized as follows. 1. A total of 24 cases out of 478 raw milk samples(5.0%) collected during April and May showed positive reaction to sulfonamide residues. Among 24 positive reactors, 9 cases were positive to sulfanilamides(32.1%), 8 cases were positive to sulfathiazoles(28.6%) and 5 cases were positive to sulfamonomthoxines (7.9%) , respectively. 2. During July and August, 31 cases out of 464 raw milk samples(6.7%) showed positive re action to sulfonamide residues. Among them S cases were positive to sulfanilamides, 5 cases sulfathiazoles and 5 cases sulfamonomethoxines(16.1%), respectively.

  • The development of IT technology, Internet popularity is increasing geometrically. However, as its side effect, the intrusion behaviors such as information leakage for key system and infringement of computation network etc are also increasing fast. The attack traffic detection method which is suggested in this study utilizes the Snort, traditional NIDS, filters the packet with false positive among the detected attack traffics using Nmap information. Then, it performs the secondary filtering using nessus vulnerability information and finally performs correlation analysis considering appropriateness of management system, severity of signature and security hole so that it could reduce false positive alarm message as well as minimize the errors from false positive and as a result, it raised the overall attack detection results.

  • The purpose of this paper is to investigate the leakage characteristics of the valve stem in the gasoline engines. Especially, three factors affecting oil leakage are the power cylinder, engine head system, and the positive crankcase ventilation system. Which is the most variables, analysis difficulty is the valve stem seal characteristics. The testing system is used with oil motoring system. The leakage of an engine is analyzed for the cylinder temperature, atmosphere pressure, positive pressure, negative pressure, revolution of the camshaft and the surface roughness of the valve stem.

  • A great deal of exhaust gas inside a combustion room goes out through exhaust pipe but residual gas, is called "Blowby gas", enters the crankcase through a small gap between the piston and the cylinder wall. Here, if the crankcase isn't vented, this causes many bad effects such as lubricant oil contamination, corrosion by that and crankcase explosion by rising pressure. So, most automobiles are constituted with a PCV (Positive Crankcase Ventilation) system to prevent previous problems. PCV valve is the most important part in this ventilation system. When companies are manufacturing new engines, engineers are designing it depending on their experiments than theoretical knowledge. Mush efforts and times are needed for new development. This study will show quantitative results to increase the possibilities of reduction of developing time.
