외식업 식공간 색채 및 디자인 연출이 고객의 심리적 반응과 만족 및 재이용 의도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Dining Space Color and Design on Customers' Psychological Reactions, Satisfaction and Reuse Intention in Restaurants)

  • 본 연구는 외식업 식공간 색채 및 디자인 연출이 고객의 심리적 반응과 만족 및 재이용에 미치는 영향력을 밝히는 데 목적을 갖고 외식 고객 400명을 대상으로 실증 조사하였는데, 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 외식업 식공간 색채 및 디자인 연출이 고객의 심리적 반응과 만족 및 재이용의도에 미치는 영향력에 대한 검정결과, 유의적이며 긍정적인 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 갈수록 높아져만 가는 고객의 욕구와 치열한 경쟁 환경에서 자사의 외식업 속성으로서의 음식의 맛 이외에 실내 환경과 조화된 기술, 장치장식, 음향, 디자인적 요소를 연출로 이미지화함으로써 고객의 심리적 반응을 인지함과 동시적 요소가 고유의 상징성을 부여한 감정적 반응을 촉진시키기 위함으로서 긍정적으로 평가된 서비스에 대한 결과로서 종국적으로 심리적 만족으로 이어지고, 이는 다시 재방문으로 연결될 수 있음을 의미한 것이라 할 수 있다.

플래그쉽스토어의 VMD 감성평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on VMD Emotional Evaluation of Flagship Store)

  • For commercial inner space, studies about brand communication and VMD to inform brand identity to customers are very important. Accordingly, the study conducted questionnaire survey about 'emotional reaction, brand recognition, brand communication and satisfaction on VMD expressional elements' of customers and brand-related personnel on the ZARA flagship store. Through analysis of difference of evaluation on surveyed items between customers and brand personnels, importance of direction of VMD design applying brand communication which can satisfy customers and application of brand communication was verified. Specific results of the research are as follows: First, comparing brand personnel's expectation of recognition of their brand from customers, substantial level of recognition of brand by customers was lower. It is necessary for improvement through consumer analysis in order to raise brand recognition. Second, as the result of analysis of emotional reaction on VMD, it needs to lead customers to positive emotional reaction close to the brand plan intention by inducing 'exciting and sensational' brand concept to emotional reactions through comprehensive VMD image management and leading to 'free and convenient' emotional reaction and then communications with customers and minimizing emotional differences. Third, for brand communication and creation of 'interest', intention of ZARA, it needs to get maximum communicative effects with 'young' VMD design. Fourth, for satisfaction survey on VMD expressional elements, customers was less satisfied than brand personnel. Accordingly, in order to raise customers' satisfaction, show windows, entry, mannequins and objets should be planned with priority and it should also satisfy customers through communications with customers including advertisement and marketing.

물리적 환경에 대한 감정적 반응이 전환장벽과 충성도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Emotional Responses toward Physical Environment on Switching Barriers and Loyalty)

  • 본 연구는 쇼핑 환경을 구성하는 물리적 환경이 소비자의 감정적 반응 및 행동반응에 미치는 영향을 규명함으로써 고객의 심리 상태에 부합하는 매장 환경 연출을 위한 단서를 제공하기 위해 시도되었다. 이를 위해 연구가설을 도출하고 설문지에 의한 자료를 수집하여 구조방정식모형에 의해 실증분석하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같이 요약된다. 첫째, 점포의 물리적 환경은 디자인 요인, 주변요인, 사회요인으로, 소비자의 물리적 환경에 대한 감정적 반응은 긍정적 감정과 부정적 감정으로 분류되는 다차원 개념이다. 둘째, 점포의 물리적 환경은 소비자의 긍정적 감정에 정(+)의 영향을 주었다. 셋째, 물리적 환경에 대한 긍정적 감정은 소비자의 전환장벽과 충성도 형성에 정(+)의 영향을 주었다. 넷째, 점포에 대한 전환장벽 형성은 고객 충성도에 정(+)의 영향을 주었다. 이와 같은 결과는 소비자에게 호의적으로 연출된 점포의 물리적 환경은 긍정적 감정을 유발하며, 이는 점포에 대한 전환장벽 및 충성도 형성에 중요한 요인으로 작용함을 시사한다.

  • Purpose - This study focuses on clues that can clearly amplify the effects of background music. Review which store environments have a direct and positive impact on consumer responses, such as purchases. Research design, data, and methodology - This study focuses on clues that can clearly amplify the effects of background music. The purpose of this study is to examine what kind of store environment, combined with background music, has a direct and positive effect on consumer reactions such as purchase, and suggest future research directions. Results - The manager decides to use background music in the store because it is relatively inexpensive and easy to identify the emotional response of the consumer. In addition, appropriate background music lowers the psychological purchasing barriers of consumers. Previous studies have often not conducted a basic review of whether consumers perceive background music when it is used in retail stores. For example, it is necessary to make sure that the volume of the background music is loud enough and that the noise is properly excluded despite the congestion of the store so that the pure influence of the background music on the consumer can be measured. A way for store managers to clarify and differentiate their identity is to create a unique and satisfying store atmosphere for their customers. In order to help customers focus on their purchases, store managers must use marketing elements to integrate the five senses. And they should plan background music aiming at synergy effect of these five senses. In other words, in order to make the store atmosphere positive, it is not enough to have a suitable visual design interior or background music in the store, and consumers should have the opportunity to smell, taste and touch it directly. Conclusions - In conclusion, we hope that the following issues will be studied by several scholars in the future. It should be clarified that the impact of background music on customers varies depending on the customer's movement in the store, the selection of the background music genre order, and the timing (interval) of background music exposure to the customer.

Topics and Sentiment Analysis Based on Reviews of Omni-Channel Retailing

  • Purpose: This study aims to analyze the factors affecting customer satisfaction in the customer reviews of omni-channel, posted on Internet blogs, cafes, and YouTube using text mining analysis. Research, data, and Methodology: In this study, frequency analysis is performed and the LDA (Latent Dirichlet Allocation) is used to analyze social big data to respond to reviewers' reaction to the recently opened omni-channel shopping reviews by L Shopping Company. Additionally, based on the topic analysis, we conduct a sentiment analysis on purchase reviews and analyze the characteristics of each topic on the positive or negative sentiments of omni-channel app users. Results: As a result of a topic analysis, four main topics are derived: delivery and events, economic value, recommendations and convenience, and product quality and brand awareness. The emotional analysis reveals that the reviewers have many positive evaluations for price policy and product promotion, but negative evaluations for app use, delivery, and product quality. Conclusions: Retailers can establish customized marketing strategies by identifying the customer's major interests through text mining analysis. Additionally, the analysis of sentiment by subject becomes an important indicator for developing products and services that customers want by identifying areas that satisfy customers and areas that evoke negative reactions.

에스테틱샵의 서비스스케이프와 서비스 제공자의 미적노동이 고객행동의도에 미치는 영향과 감정반응의 매개효과 (The Influence of Service Scape and Service Provider's Esthetic Labor on Customer Behavioral Intentions and Mediations of Emotional Responses in Esthetic Shop)

  • 본 연구를 통해 에스테틱 샵을 이용하는 고객들의 행동 의도에 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 수 있는 서비스 스케이프와 미적 노동, 감정반응, 고객 행동 의도 간 요소를 분석하고 그에 대한 인과관계를 도출하고자 한다. 최근 3개월 이내 울산 및 경남지역 에스테틱 샵 이용자 약 280명을 대상으로 설문 조사한 설문지 257부를 실증분석하였다. 표본 자료는 Statistical power analysis using 3.1 analysis를 이용하여 다중회귀 분석하였고 SPSS 21.0 및 AMOS 21.0으로 통계처리 하였다. 에스테틱 서비스의 서비스 스케이프, 미적 노동이 고객의 긍정적인 반응에 영향을 미치고, 긍정적 반응에 의한 고객만족도는 재방문에 긍정적인 영향 관계를 형성하여 매개 효과가 있다는 것을 확인하였다. 또한 에스테틱 서비스에 대한 만족과 지속적 이용 의도 선행요인들의 구조 관계를 밝힘으로써 실무적 시사점 도출에 긍정적 기여를 하였다. 향후 연구에서는 에스테틱 서비스 이용자의 특성을 고려한 대상자의 다양한 연령층과 지역 확대 연구가 요구되어진다.

기업의 사회적 책임 활동 과정에서의 고객참여가 고객 반응에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Customer Participation in CSR(Corporate Social Responsibility) Process on Customers' Response)

  • Purpose - There have been numerous studies investigating the effects of corporate social responsibility initiatives on corporate associations or corporate images. In line of this research stream, current research examined the potential impact of customer participation in the process of corporate social responsibility initiatives on attitude toward the company. This research differentiates from previous studies that it is the first to connect corporate social responsibility and customer participation. Specifically, we suggest a structural model on corporate associations which was classified into corporate ability associations and corporate social responsibility associations that the more the customers participate in initiating corporate social responsibility, corporate associations were formed more positively. And this leads to the increase of revisit intentions through customer satisfaction. Research design, data, and methodology - To test our research model, we collected data of real consumers of a large discount store in Korea. At the large discount store, customers were given an opportunity to participate the discount store's CSR activity program. We performed field survey and collected data of 146 respondents. We analyzed the data using PASW statistics 21.0 and AMOS 16.0 in order to test our structural model. Results - The results showed that consumers who participated more in initiating corporate social responsibility revealed higher score for corporate ability associations and corporate social responsibility associations. These corporate associations had a positive effect on customer satisfaction, which leads to higher attitude toward revisit intentions. Specifically, hypothesis 1.1 "As Customer participation in CSR process increases, the evaluation of CA associations will be positive,"was supported. Hypothesis 1.2 "As Customer participation in CSR process increases, the evaluation of CSR associations will be positive," was supported. Hypothesis 2.1 "As the evaluation of CA associations is positive, satisfaction with the firm will increase," was supported. Hypothesis 2.1 "As the evaluation of CSR associations is positive, satisfaction with the firm will increase," was supported. Hypothesis 3 "As satisfaction with the firm increases, revisit intentions with the firm will increase," was supported. Conclusions - This research is the first to study the relationship between customer participation in CSR process, CSR, and consumer reactions. This research also contributes to customer participation and corporate social responsibility literature by suggesting customer participation as an antecedent and empirically demonstrating the positive relationships between the constructs. The findings of this research may offer managerial implications for marketing practitioners. When performing corporate social initiatives, it is better to let the customer participate in the process which leads to higher corporate ability associations and corporate social responsibility associations, also higher satisfaction and revisit intentions. Our results provide useful information to practioners that spontaneous participation of consumers makes CSR initiatives effective and successful. Limitations and ideas for further research remain in this research. For example, our focus on the logic was cognitive evaluations(e.g. corporate associations) but affective dimensions might be considered since recent researches are investigating the relationship between customer participation and affective reaction as a response. Despite the limitations, this research have unique and applicable implications for academics and practitioners.

개봉 전후 트윗 개수의 증감률과 영화 매출간의 상관관계 (A Study of Correlation Analysis between Increase / Decrease Rate of Tweets Before and After Opening and a Box Office Gross)

  • Predicting a box office gross in the film industry is an important goal. Many works have analyzed the elements of a film making. Previous studies have suggested several methods for predicting box office such as a model for distinguishing people's reactions by using a sentiment analysis, a study on the period of influence of word-of-mouth effect through SNS. These works discover that a word of mouth (WOM) effect through SNS influences customers' choice of movies. Therefore, this study analyzes correlations between a box office gross and a ratio of people reaction to a certain movie by extracting their feedback on the film from before and after of the film opening. In this work, people's reactions to the movie are categorized into positive, neutral, and negative opinions by employing sentiment analysis. In order to proceed the research analyses in this work, North American tweets are collected between March 2011 and August 2012. There is no correlation for each analysis that has been conducted in this work, hereby rate of tweets before and after opening of movies does not have relationship between a box office gross.

3차원 바디 스캐너를 활용한 가상착의에 관한 인식 조사 - 업체 실무자 및 소비자를 대상으로 - (A Study of Applications of 3D Body Scanning Technology - Focused on Apparel Industry -)

  • The ultimate success of commercial applications of body scan data in the apparel industry will be consumers' substantial applications such as automated custom fit, size prediction, virtual try-on, personal shopper services (Loker, S. et al., 2004). In this study, we surveyed fifty consumers and forty-seven apparel industry workers about their recognition and interest in 3D body scanning and virtual try-on. The results are as follows: 55% of the apparel industry workers has recognized 3D body scanning as a convenient technology, but do not know how to use it. To the questions regarding virtual try-on, 53% of the workers give positive answers. The consumers have a more positive view on virtual try-on than the workers do. The workers predict that the application of 3D body scan technology to the apparel industry could offer customers helpful information in their clothing selection by using virtual images of various size and style, and increase mass production of MTM(Made-To-Measure). The answers from the male consumers in their twenties indicate that virtual try-on is useful by 88% on offline shopping and by 100% on online shopping. 53% of the workers and 68% of the consumers gave answers that just by virtual try-on they could judge the quality of the apparel products and purchase them. Absolutely 3D virtual try-on is an effective tool for online shoppers. 85% of the workers anticipate applications of the 3D body scanning also in 'body measurement', 'custom pattern development' as well as 'virtual try-on' in the near future. With the positive reactions and the stimulating interests in virtual try-on, the conditions of contemporary world encourage more active researches and wide usages of the technology in apparel industry.

심볼디자인의 소비자 반응에 대한 심미적 영향요소 연구 (The Influence of Aesthetic Elements on Consumer Responses of Symbol Design)

  • 디자인에 있어서 심미성은 경쟁요소로서의 중요한 역할을 담당하고 있다. 그 중요성은 경험적 심미학(experimental aesthetics), Gestalt심리학, 디자인 관련 문헌에서도 찾아볼 수 있다. 이러한 문헌에서는 심미성의 중요성 이외에도, 많은 심미적 영향요소들이 소비자 반응(인지적 반응, 감정적 반응, 의미일치)에 영향을 미치고 있음을 시사하고 있지만, 아직 그 연구는 미흡한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 어떠한 디자인이 소비자에게 잘 인지되고(사실적인지), 긍정적 감정반응을 주는지, 또한, 이러한 반응에는 어떤 심미적 영향 요소들이 작용하는지를 심볼디자인을 통해 파악, 이를 바탕으로 심볼은 어떻게 디자인할 것인가에 대한 지침을 제공하고자 하였다.
