영구자석형 동기전동기에서 자기식 위치 센서를 사용한 초기 회전자 위치 검출 성능의 개선 (Improvement of Initial Rotor Position Detection for Permanent-Magnet Synchronous Motor Using Magnetic Position Sensor)

  • 본 논문에서는 영구자석형 동기전동기의 벡터제어를 수행하는데 필요한 회전자의 위치, 특히 기동시의 초기 회전자 위치를 정확하게 검출하기 위하여 자기식 위치 센서를 사용하는 방법을 제안한다. 기존에는 홀센서의 출력 신호를 사용하여 초기 회전자의 위치를 판단하거나 이러한 센서를 사용하지 않는 센서리스 방식으로 제어를 수행하였으나 이 방법들은 위치 오차가 발생하고 정확도가 떨어지기 때문에 실용성 측면에서 만족스럽지 못하였다. 이와 같은 문제점을 해결하고자 본 논문에서는 자기식 위치 센서(magnetic position sensor)를 사용하여 초기 회전자의 위치를 검출하고자 한다. 이 방식을 사용하여 동기전동기의 초기 회전자 위치 검출이 부정확하여 벡터제어 시스템에서 전동기의 기동특성이 나빠지는 문제점을 해결하며, 소용량의 벡터제어 인버터를 저가격화하는 목적으로 자기식 위치 센서를 속도 및 위치 검출에 사용함으로써 자극 검출용의 홀센서와 회전속도 측정용의 로터리 엔코더를 하나로 통합하여 가격을 절반 이하로 낮추는 방안을 제안한다.

  • The reliability and accuracy of the information on control rod position are very important to the reactor safety and the design of the core protection system. A survey on the RSPT(Reed Switch Position Transmitter) type control rod position indicator system and its actual implementation in the existing nuclear power plants in Korea was performed first. The control rod position indicator having the high performance for SMART was developed on the basis of RSPT technology identified through the survey. The arrangement of permanent magnet and reed switches is the most important procedure in the design of control rod position indicator. The hysteresis of reed switches is one of the important factors in a repeat accuracy of control rod position indicator as well. This paper investigates efficiency of the magnetic flux concentrator and the hysteresis using FEM and verified differences in physicals characteristics by comparing the results of FEM and those of the experiment. As a result, it is shown that the characteristics of prototype control rod position indicator have a good agreement with the results of FEM.

  • 영구자석 동기발전기의 벡터제어를 위해서는 회전자 위치가 필요하며 엔코더와 같은 위치센서가 위치 검출 목적으로 일반적으로 사용되고 있다. 그러나 위치센서의 사용은 영구자석 동기전동기 제어시스템의 신뢰성을 저하시킨다. 본 논문에서는 영구자석 동기전동기 제어시스템을 위한 위치센서 고장 회피 제어 방법을 제안한다. 확장 유기전력에 기반한 센서리스 위치 추정 알고리즘을 센서를 이용하는 벡터 제어와 병렬로 수행함으로써 위치센서 고장발생 시점에서 센서리스 벡터제어로 신속히 재구성할 수 있도록 하였다. 실험을 통해 제안된 방식의 유용성을 보인다.

A Position Sensorless Control System of SRM over Wide Speed Range

  • This paper presents a position sensorless control system of SRM over wide speed range. Due to the doubly salient structure of the SRM, the phase inductance varies along with the rotor position. Most of the sensorless control techniques are based on the fact that the magnetic status of the SRM is a function of the angular rotor position. The rotor position estimation of the SRM is somewhat difficult because of its highly nonlinear magnetizing characteristics. In order to estimate more accurate rotor position over wide speed range, Neural Network is used for this highly nonlinear function approximation. Magnetizing data patterns of the prototype 1-hp SRM are obtained from locked rotor test, and used for the Neural Network training data set. Through measurement of the flux-linkage and phase currents, rotor position is able to estimate from current-flux-rotor position lookup table which is constructed from trained Neural Network. Experimental results for a 1-hp SRM over 16:1 speed range are presented for the verification of the proposed sensorless control algorithm.

비선형 보상기와 외란관측기를 이용한 공기압 실리더의 위치제어 (Position Control of a Pneumatic Cylinder with a Nonlinear Compensator and a Disturbance Observer)

  • A position controller which can achieve a specified dynamic performance irrespective of the different operating position of the pneumatic cylinder is proposed. The position controller developed in this paper is composed of a nonlinear compensator and a disturbance observer. The nonlinear compensator which feeds back position, velocity and acceleration is derived from the nonlinear dominating equations of the position control system to compensate for variation of dynamic characteristics of a pneumatic cylinder according to the change of the operating position. The disturbance observer including a simplified linear model is designed to reduce the effect of model discrepancy in the low frequency range which cannot be suppressed by the nonlinear compensator. The results of the experiments show that the position control performance maintains a designed performance regardless of the variations of an operating position of the pneumatic cylinder.

  • In this study, a position synchronous control algorithm being applied to two-axes pneumatic cylinder driving apparatus is proposed. The position synchronous control algorithm is composed of position controller and synchronous controller. The position controller is designed to minimize the effect of several nonlinear characteristics of the driving apparatus. The synchronous controller is designed to reduce the synchronous error. The effectiveness of the proposed controller is proved by simulation results.

An Impact Position Control of the Ink Droplet of Inkjet Printer

  • In this paper, a position control scheme of the ink droplet is presented for the high image quality and print speed inkjet printer. The proposed scheme estimates the impact position and compensates it by control of the fire strobe time based on the dynamic equations describing the moving trajectory of the ink droplet. Compared to the conventional fire strobe control which is based on the simple synchronization the fire strobe with the position signal of the inkjet nozzle, the proposed control scheme provides more accurate impact position control during the carrier is moving with accelerated or decelerated speed as well as constant speed. The availability of printing during the acceleration and deceleration states of the carrier moving enables the print speed up and the frame size down which means the cost down.

  • The swing motion of the spreader during and after movement causes an efficiency problem of position control in unmaned gantry crane. The objective of this research is to design implementable stabilizing controllers that minimize the swing motion of spreader in precise position control. The dynamic equations related to trolley, rope, and spreader are derived. For constitute a similar actual system, we introduced a conception of spring and damper in the connector. It is located between the trolley and link that is used in stead of rope. We derived dynamic equation by appliance that friction and external disturbance are occurred to the connector. We constituted of position servo system and velocity servo system for the control of position and velocity of the trolley and constituted of lag compensator system for the control of sway of the spreader. And we will show an effect of the proposed system in this research finally.

  • A hybrid control scheme to regulate the force and position by dual arms is proposed, where two arms are treated as one arm in a kinematic viewpoint. Our approach is different from other hybrid control approaches which consider robot dynamics, in the sense that we employ a purely kinematic based approach for hybrid control, with regard to the nature of position-controlled industrial robots. The proposed scheme is applied to sawing task. In the sawing task, the trajectory of the saw grasped by dual arms is planned in an offline fashion. When the trajectory of the saw is planned to follow a line in a horizontal plane, 3 position parameters are to be controlled(i.e, two translational positions and one rotational position). And a certain level of contact force has to be controlled along the vertical direction(i.e., minus z-direction) not to loose the contact with the object to be sawn. Typical feature of sawing task is that the contact position where the force control is to be performed is continuously changing. Therefore, the kinematic mapping between the force controlled position and the joint actuators has to be updated continuously. The effectiveness of the proposed control scheme is experimentally demonstrated. The proposed hybrid control scheme can be applied to arbitrary dual arm systems, regardless of their kinematic structure and the number of actuated joints.

이중 EHA의 제어 특성 개선 (Control-performance Improvement of Dual EHAs)

  • For this paper, the position-control performances of dual EHA(electro-hydrostatic actuator) systems were investigated according to two cases wherein the double-rod- and single-rod-type hydraulic cylinders were combined. Since the control performance is significantly dependent on the load conditions including external forces such as the inertia load, it is proposed here that the two sub-EHAs are driven by separate position and force controllers, instead of two identical position controllers. According to the simulation results, the best performance was achieved by the position-controlled single-rod-type EHA that was combined with a force-controlled double-rod-type EHA. As the force-controlled double-rod-type EHA compensated for the external loads on the position-controlled single-rod-type EHA, the position-control performance was not influenced by external forces including the inertia load. In addition, the position-controlled single-rod-type EHA contributed to the enhancement of the damping ratio by absorbing the pressure peaks through its internal accumulator. Due to the symmetrical piston areas, the double-rod-type EHA is more suitable for force control than the single-rod- type EHA.
