Batch Column에서의 슬러지농도변화에 대한 연구 (Study on Sludge Concentration Change in Batch Column)

  • For understanding sludge concentration profile as a function of time, sludge was sampled at each sampling port. When sludge concentration was 3g/L, the vertical sludge concentration distribution was similar to that of 2g/L of sludge concentration. During the early stage of sludge settling, sludge concentration increased remarkably as the sludge interface height in batch column became lower. The higher sludge concentration became, the worse sludge setteability became. Also, the type of sludge settling was influenced with sludge concentration gradient in batch column. In the same concentration, the greater sludge concentration gradient was, the faster sludge interface settled down. And the changing sludge concentrations in a batch settling or a continuous settling were simulated by using the equation of sludge interface height change model.

쇄파대의 저질부유에 관한 현지관측 (Field observation of sediment suspension in the surf zone)

  • 저질의 부유 현상이 일련의 쇄파라고 하는 파동 현상에 어떠한 형태로 연동하는가를 면밀히 조사하기 위하여 현지해안의 쇄파대내에 주 관측지점을 설치하고 부유사 농도와 유속, 수위변동 등의 관련 파랑 제원을 계측하였다. 분석을 위해 수위변동, 유속변동치의 부유사 농도에 대한 상관관계를 조사하였으며, 상관이 탁월한 주기대에 대한 ensemble 평균 분석으로 유속 및 수위변동의 위상에 따른 부유사 농도의 변화와의 관계를 명백히 하여 다음의 결론을 얻었다. 1) 부유사의 농도 변동은 유속 및 수위변동의 에너지가 가장 큰 장주기 성분(100s)에 있어서 보다 오히려, 관측지점이 절(node)이 되는 1차mode의 장주기중복파(60s) 및 배(anti-node)가 되는 2차 mode의 중복파(30s)의 주기성분에서 상관이 높았으며, 2)또한, 1차 mode의 장주기중복파의 유속 성분이 해안으로 향하여 가속하는 위상 즉, 수면 경사가 상대적으로 해안선측보다 외해측이 높은 위상에서 부유사 농도가 가장 높아짐을 명백히 하였다.

부산항과 상하이항 컨테이너 터미널 운영사의 경영성과 비교에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Performance Comparison of Container Terminal Operators in Busan Port and Shanghai Port)

  • 각 항만의 터미널별 물동량을 기반으로 허쉬만-허핀달지수를 통해 부산항과 상하이항의 시장구조 측정을 실시하였고, 시장성과를 분석하기 위해 시장성과를 수익성과 성장성의 두 가지 측면으로 구분하였다. 수익성 측면에서는 각 컨테이너 터미널 운영사들의 가격-비용 마진율(PCM)과 자산수익률(ROA), 성장성 측면에서는 각 터미널의 처리 실적과 물동량 증감률을 통해 각 터미널 운영사의 성과를 측정하였다. 측정된 결과를 바탕으로 시장구조와 터미널 운영사의 성과에 대한 상관관계를 살펴보기 위해 회귀분석을 실시하였고, 결과를 상호 비교하였다. 연구결과, 부산항의 시장구조와 컨테이너 터미널 운영사의 성장성(처리실적), 상하이항의 시장구조와 컨테이너 터미널 운영사의 수익성(PCM, ROA) 및 성장성(처리실적)과의 관계가 유의적인 관계로 나타났다.

해양오염 감지를 위한 활성탄 코팅 센서에 관한 연구 (A Study on an Activated Carbon Coated Sensor for the Detection of Marine Pollution)

  • Oil spill in sea water is the most frequent and significant problem of marine pollution. As an early detection sensor of the pollution, an activated carbon coated quartz crystal is prepared and examined for its performance of detection sensitivity and stability. Powdered activated carbon and phenol resin is coated on the surface of the sensor and the sensor is baked for an hour. Adsorption of acetone dissolved in water and salt water is measured using frequency shift of quartz crystal at different concentrations of solute material. The outcome indicates that the sensor preparation is adequate and the measurement of solute concentration is stable and sensitive enough to be implemented on the monitoring of solute concentration is stable and sensitive enough to be implemented in the monitoring of organic pollution of sea water.

가솔린 엔진에서 액막 연료량 추정 및 이를 이용한 공연비 예측에 관한 연구 (Estimation of Wall Wetting Fuel at Intake Port and Model Based Prediction A/F in a S.I. Engine)

  • According to the stringent exhaust emission regulation, precise control of air fuel ratio is one of the most important issues on gasoline engine. Although many researches have been carried out to identify the fuel transport phenomena in a port fueled gasoline engine, complexity of fuel film behavior in the intake port makes it difficult. The fuel film behavior was investigated recently by using visualization method and these gave us qualitative understanding. The purpose of this study is to estimate of wall wetting fuel in the intake port and the inducted fuel mass was predicted by using wall wetting fuel model . The model coefficient($\alpha$,$\beta$) and fuel film mass on the port wall were determined from measured in-cylinder HC concentration using FRFID after injection off. The fuel film mass was increased, but $\alpha$(ratio of directly inducted fuel mass into cylinder from injected fuel mass) was decreased with increasing load at the same engine speed. $\beta$is nearly constant value(0.8~0.9). when injected fuel mass is varied at 1500rpm , the calculated air fuel ratio using well wetting fuel model was nearly the same as measured by UEGO.

  • The influence of fuel spray characteristics on engine performance has been known as one of the major concerns to Improve fuel economy and to reduce exhaust emissions. In general, the UBHC(Unburned Hydrocarbon) emission could be reduced by decreasing the droplet size of the fuel sprays. In PFI (Port Fuel Injection) gasoline engines, the mixture of air and fuel would not be uniform under a certain condition, because the breakup and production of spray droplets are made in a short distance between the fuel injector and intake valve sheat. In this study, were investigated the transient spray characteristics and dynamic behavior of droplets from 2holes-2sprays and 4holes-2sprays type injectors used in PFI gasoline engine. Mean droplet size and optical concentration were measured by LDPA (Laser Diffraction Particle size Analyzer). The variation of droplet mean diameter and optical concentration were measured for understanding the behavior of unsteady spray.

하구수와 표사의 상호작용에 관한 연구 (A Study on Interaction of Estuarial Water and Sediment Transport)

  • The design and maintenance of navigation channel and water facilities of an harbor which is located at the mouth of river or at the estuary area are difficult due to the complexity of estuarial water and sediment circulation. Effects of deepening navigable waterways, of changing coastline configurations, or of discharging dredged material to the open sea are necessary to be investigated and predicted in terms of water quality and possible physical changes to the coastal environment. A borad analysis of the transport mechanism in the estuary area was made in terms of sediment property, falling velocity, concentration and flow characteristics. In order to simulate the transport processes, a two-dimensional finite element model is developed, which includes erosion, transport and deposition mechanism of suspended sediments. Galerkin’s weighted residual method is used to solve the transient convection-diffusion equation. The fluid domain is subdivided into a series of triangular elements in which a quadratic approximation is made for suspended sediment concentration. Model could deal with a continuous aggregation by stipulating the settling velocity of the flocs in each element. The model provides suspended sediment concentration, bed shear stress, erosion versus deposition rate and bed profile at the given time step.

해저구조물 설치에 따른 파랑에너지 집적에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Concentration of Wave Energy by Construction of a Submerged Coastal Structure)

  • A new type of horizontal submerged break water or fixed structure to control waves near coastal area is introduced to focus wave energy before or behind it. Intentionally, the water depth near the structure is changed gradually to get a refraction and diffraction effect. The concentration of wave energy due to the structure was analyzed for the selected design of structure. The shape of the submerged structure in consideration is a circular combined with elliptical curve not to cause reflection of waves at the extreme edge of the structure but cause wave scattering. The direction of the structure against the incident wave is changed easily in the model Applying a regular wave train the following were examined. 1) whether a crescent plain submerged structure designed by the wave refraction theory can concentrate wave energy at a focal zone behind and before it without wave breaking phenomenon. 2) Location of maximum wave amplification factor in terms of the incident wave direction, wave period, etc. In any event the study would contribute to control waves near coastal area and to protect a beach from erosion without interruption of ocean view it is an useful study for the concentration of wave energy efficiently with the increase of wave height.

우리나라 컨테이너항만의 집중도와 변이효과 분석 (An Analysis of the Concentration Ratios and the Shift Effect of Korean Container Ports)

  • 우리나라 수출입 컨테이너물동량은 1995년 3,942천 TEU에서 2014년 14,601천 TEU로 증가했고, 부산항의 처리 비중은 92.4%에서 63.4%로 상당 수준 낮아졌다. 현재 우리나라 33개 무역항 중 11개 항만에서 컨테이너 전용부두가 운영되는 있으며, 2014년 항만별 컨테이너부두 시설 확보율은 심한 편차를 보이고 있다. 즉 부산항, 인천항은 각 83.3%, 48.0%로 시설 부족현상을 보이나, 광양항 196.7%, 울산항 188.8%, 군산항 583.3%, 마산항 1,666.7% 등 시설 과잉이 심각한 항만도 적지 않다. 본 연구는 허쉬만-허핀달지수(HHI)와 변이할당법을 활용하여 기존 연구와 차별적으로 5대 해외 기종점 권역별로 수출입 컨테이너화물의 항만 집중도와 변이효과를 분석하고, 우리나라 컨테이너항만의 경쟁 구도 및 항만정책 방향에 관한 시사점을 도출하였다. 분석 결과, 우리나라 컨테이너항만의 집중도는 지난 20년간 0.86에서 0.44로 완화되었으나 최근 5년간은 큰 변화가 없었다. 5대 수출입 해외 권역, 즉 극동아시아, 동남아시아, 일본, 북미 및 유럽 지역 컨테이너화물의 세부적인 항만 집중도 분석 결과, 2014년 극동아시아 0.290, 동남아시아 0.375로 가장 낮았고, 이는 전체 항만 집중도를 0.44로 낮춘 주요 원인이 되었다. 즉 아시아 수출입 물동량이 과거에 비해 국내 여러 항만에서 분산 처리되면서 우리나라 전체 컨테이너항만의 집중도를 낮추게 된 것이다. 또한 2010년 이후 컨테이너항만의 집중도는 거의 변함이 없고 북미 및 유럽항로에서는 오히려 집중도가 증가하고 있다는 것도 확인했다. 이에 정부는 컨테이너 부두시설의 효율적인 개발 및 운영 정책 수립을 위해 항만의 집중도 및 변이효과 추이를 지속적으로 모니터링할 필요가 있다. 특히 컨테이너 물동량 대비 하역능력에 충분한 여유가 있는 항만임에도 불구하고 양(+)의 변이효과가 충분히 나타나지 않을 경우, 그 원인을 정확히 규명하고 대응 방안을 모색해야 할 것이다. 향후 수출입 컨테이너 화물의 내륙 기종점별 항만 집중도나 동북아시아 항만에 대한 환적화물의 집중도 등에 관한 후속적인 연구도 진행되어야 할 것이다.

  • This paper is the second of 3 companion papers which investigate axial stratification process. In-cylinder fuel behavior has been investigated in the port injected Sl engine by visualizing for the purpose of understanding stratification. Planar laser light sheet from an Nd:YAG laser has been illuminated through the transparent quartz cylinder of the single cylinder optical engine and the Mie scattered light has been captured through the quartz window in the piston head with an ICCD camera. Fuel has been replaced with an air-ethanol mixture to utilize atomized fuel spray fur the visualization purposes. This results have been compared with steady flow concentration measurement. For low/medium swirl port, the early injection makes such a fuel distribution state that is upper-rich, middle-lean and lower-rich along the combustion chamber and cylinder by tumbling motion. On the other hand, the late injection induces upper-rich, middle-lean and lower-rich state due to the short fuel penetration.
