As a series of research plan, this study is to provide basic data necessary for the development of fishing industry which will contribute in establishing sound fishing culture in Jeju island through systematic management of fishing, protection of fishery resources and establishment of safety measures for fishermen in accordance with 'Fishing Management and Support Act'. To attain the proposed objective, this study conducted literature review and surveys on restriction standards of harmful substances generated from fishing equipment and baits, examined the current status of fishing management in popular fishing sites of other cities, and then reviewed and analyzed the fishing management and fishing-restriction zones in Jeju island. The survey on the opinions on the restriction criteria of fishing methods, tools and period, including the acceptable standards for harmful substances showed that general fishermen preferred 'alleviating the measure (44.8%)' to 'aggravating the measure (23.0%)'. Meanwhile, maritime police showed dominant opinion toward 'aggravating the restriction (52.2%)' over 'alleviating the measure (4.3%)'. Furthermore, fishing-related enterprise is favored 'aggravating the restriction (32.6%)' over 'alleviating the measure (27.9%)'. In the survey on the tolerance of fishing baits including criterion for content of certain substance in different types of bait, it showed 57.5% of general fishermen preferred alleviating restriction criteria while 20.7% of them favored tougher restriction. Whereas, 33.3% of maritime police group insisted such fishing baits should be more restricted while 16.7% answered it should be alleviated. 35.9% of fishing-related enterprise was in favor of alleviation while 14.3% preferred aggravation. Upon investigation on the status of fishing management in other cities and towns, it turned out that most of them had safety and convenience facilities, installed warning and guide signs in fishing sites, and set no fishing zones. The review of fishing management and restricted area showed that 10 sites required access restriction and 2 of 10 sites were considered to be partially restricted for weather and season. 82 fishing sites were regarded as unnecessary to be restricted and installation of safety facility and guide signs is necessary for the safety of fishermen.
A movie is a fiction made on a basis of an author's and a writer's imagination, but all sorts of properties mixed with each other and most realistically expresses the era which becomes the background of a movie and acts as a carrier that connects designers with consumers. Thus, this study was carried out to review how the fashion products that designer's intention and commercial value added are expressed in collections by comparing and analysing the costumes in the movie "The Great Gatsby" that described the life of America's upper-class in 1920s and the 04 S/S Y&Kei collection which were proceeding after getting inspiration from this movie. For this, literature materials were inspected in order to make a theoretical review on social and cultural background and costumes history background in 1920s and the photo materials on movie costume were collected and analysed using DVD video captures, as well as the photo materials on 04 S/S Y&Kei were collected and analyzed through the institute providing domestic fashion information. The following conclusion was deduced through this study. First, in 1920s which becomes the background of this study, the slim shape of Flapper which looks like a young and boy became an ideal figure condition and the straight silhouette with low waist line and the short skirt that rose to knee was popular. Second, as a result of analysing movie costume by classifying it in silhouette, colors, and materials, straight silhouette of low waistline with a near colored - tone seen in the pastel series, including white, beige, pink, and gray was mainly constituted and the metal colors like silver and gold were used. As a material, chiffon, satin, velvet, flower patterned prints, and beads were used, which represented luxurious life of women in the upper classes. Third, as a result of comparing and analysing, it turned out that there was a similarity. However, in dress collection for a heroine, some dissimilarity differentiated from a movie costumes was found out in that the dresses in collection expressed moderate beauty and modernism and elegant beauty at the same time by matching a variety of materials and using black color.

Because hotels contain the cultural and artistic information of an era and plays a role as an iconic building to experience the unique regional culture, they are more than just a building. In recent years, as Jeju is emerging as a popular tourist city, a multi-functional and systematic plan for hotels is needed. Therefore, this study provides basic design data for hotel construction in the future by analyzing the public space of the luxury tourist hotels on Seogwipo-si. The public space of hotels, divided into service, food and beverage, banquet, leisure and convenience space, are categorized in terms of the cross combination type, entrance space form, plan type, unit space form to understand their relativity in the public space of hotels. This study reviewed the hotel construction based on the reference and literature, and, visited the sites to determine the current general status of hotels and then analyzed the architectural planning factors and spatial composition types.
Purpose - A growing demand for sustainability reporting has placed pressure on firms with non-financial information that affects firm valuation, growth, and development. In particular, a number of researchers have investigated various topics in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), non-financial information. Prior studies suggest that CSR may affect corporate outcomes like corporate reporting, financial performance, and disclosures. However, the results from prior studies are not clear whether CSR affects corporate outcomes. This is partially due to the measurement issues with CSR. In this study, we examine whether CSR affects the quality of corporate reporting, one of the popular measures in corporate outcomes. We find an evidence that CSR positively affects the quality of corporate reporting. Research design, data, and methodology - In this study, we collected a unique dataset of CSR from MSCI. Total 169 firms listed in the Korean Stock Exchange from 2011 to 2014 were collected and analysed with the detailed CSR reports. Using a correlation test, we found a weak association between CSR and the quality of corporate reporting. However, the regression tests provided a strong relationship between CSR and the quality of corporate reporting after controlling for other variables that may affect the quality of corporate reporting. Additionally, we calculated the t-statistics based on heteroskedaticity-consistent standard errors (White, 1980). Results - Before we run the regression test, we sort the measures of the two dependent variables into each rating of CSR (from AAA to CCC). The results indicate that the quality of corporate reporting measured by discretionary accruals and performance-matched discretionary accruals monotonically decrease as the CSR ratings increase. This supports our hypothesis. In the regression tests, the coefficient on MJDA (PMDA) is -0.183 (-0.173) and significant at the 5% level. We can interpret the results as CSR affecting the quality of corporate reporting in positive ways. Other coefficients on control variables are consistent with prior studies. For example, the coefficients on both LOSS and LEV are positive and significant at conventional level, meaning that firms with financial difficulty may harm their quality of corporate reporting. Conclusion - We found an evidence that CSR is positively associated with the quality of corporate reporting. This study contributes to the literature in various ways. First, this study extends the line of CSR research by providing additional evidence in the setting of ethical behaviors by managements. This is consistent with the hypothesis and supports the results of prior studies. Second, to the best of my knowledge, this is the first study using the MSCI CSR ratings. In contrast with prior studies using different measures of CSR, the MSCI CSR ratings allow us to provide in-depth analysis. Third, the additional measure of dependent variable (PMDA) allows us to improve the robustness of our results. Overall, the results provided this study to extend the findings in prior studies by providing incremental evidence.

This study aimed to investigate the sociocultural phenomena which affected to clothing change in 1650-1900 and to examine the features of men's necktie in the western art. For this study, information about historic neckwear is obtained from the visual evidence of painted or engraved portraits, contemporary written sources. The covered area of this study was Europe mainly England and France. For this process, research steps were as follows : 1. Investigating the sociocultural phenomena which affect to clothing change through 1650-1900 and analysis of men's clothing and appearance. 2. Finding the changing characteristics of neckties including it's different types, shapes, knots, colors and materials and analyzing similarities and differences of neckties by the times. 3. Examining necktie as one of important and representative icons of male gender identity. The results of the study was as follows: 1. In 1660-1900, men's fashion was simplified in color and detail due to the influence of practical Puritanism and matured civil culture. And British men's fashion spreaded throughout whole European countries and get popularity. 2. In 1650-1720, there were band, cravat and steinkirk. And expecially cravatier, a expert custodian of cravats, was appeared in that period. In 1720-1800, there were stock, solitaire and cravat. In 1800-1850, neckwear were popularized and got various sizes and types up to shape and size of chemise collars. Black stock, scarf cravat and shawl cravat were popular and terms of 'necktie' were used for an certain neckcloth shape. And abundant literature for necktie were published thanks to the development of printing technology in that period. In 1851-1900, the leady-made neckties were spreaded and there were changes in shape, length, knot of necktie up to V-zone formed with shirt's collars and vest types. Neckwear was gradually evolving through four distinct styles, bow tie, scarf or neckerchief, Ascot and four-in-hand. 3. After the mid-l7th Century, as civil culture matured and splendid and extravagant colorful men's wear disappeared, British men's fashion spreaded throughout whole European countries and got popularity. The necktie become an essential ornamental accessory of men's fashion and one of important and representative icons of male gender identity.
The purpose of this study was to examine how college students use Facebook and the ways in which they feel of commitment while using Facebook. The Big Five Personality Model has been considerably used in the psychology fields, and the researchers have started to explore the role of characteristic factors in influencing an individual's use of social media, such as Facebook which has become one of the most popular social networking site in the world. Therefore, the current study aims to specify the links between The Big Five Personality Model and usage patterns as well as commitment of Facebook. Two hundreds thirty five college students participated in a survey and the results are as follows: First, participants who were high in extraversion and agreeableness were more likely to do information sharing activities such as sharing posts to their friends, writing comments on the other's posts. In addition, participants who were high in openness to experience, conscientiousness, and neuroticism were more likely to do information producing activities including offering events, group, or public pages to meet people both on and offline. Second, in terms of the relationship between personality traits and commitment to the Facebook, the study found that extraversion and neuroticism were related to users' commitment to Facebook. These findings are consistent with the existing literature regarding extraversion and neuroticism were representative personality factors when it comes to commitment of media. Specifically, the study found that those who were high in neuroticism were more likely to produce information such as posting photos repeatedly or tagging their friends on posts, and also more likely to feel commitment on Facebook. These findings confirm that personality is a highly relevant factor in determining individual's behavior and the degree of commitment on Facebook. Based on these findings implications and limitations of the study are discussed.
Sharing XML trees on mobile devices has become more and more popular. Optimistic replication of XML trees for mobile devices raises the need for reconciliation of concurrently modified data. Especially for reconciling the modified tree structures, we have to compare trees by node mapping which takes O($n^2$) time. Also, using semantic based conflict resolving policy is often discussed in the literature. In this research, we focused on an efficient reconciliation method for mobile environments, using edit scripts of XML data sent from each device. To get a simple model for mobile devices, we use the XML list data sharing model, which allows inserting/deleting subtrees only for the repetitive parts of the tree, based on the document type. Also, we use keys for repetitive part subtrees, keys are unique between nodes with a same parent. This model not only guarantees that the edit action always results a valid tree but also allows a linear time reconciliation algorithm due to key based list reconciliation. The algorithm proposed in this paper takes linear time to the length of edit scripts, if we can assume that there is no insertion key conflict. Since the previous methods take a linear time to the size of the tree, the proposed method is expected to provide a more efficient reconciliation model in the mobile environment.
Korean children's clothes have unique aesthetic characteristics distinguished from other countries'. Our folk beliefs handed down from ancient times always contained fortune - seeking thoughts and particularly mothers' earnest wishes for the happiness of their children were sublimated into the symbolic beauty of their children's clothes. The present study examined children's clothes in the royal family and among the people for 50 years of the transitional period from the late Joseon Dynasty to modern times, by classifying them into ritual dress for new-born babies, festival dress and everyday dress. Male children's clothes included caps such as Bokgeon(복건), Hogeon(호건) and Gulle(굴레) topcoats such as Durumagi(두루마기), Sagyusam(사규삼) Koija(쾌자) and Jeonbok(전복) and others such as Magoja(마고자), Baeja(배자), Joggi(조끼) and Bajijeogori(바지저고리), Female children's clothes included caps and head ornaments such as Gulle, Jobawi(조바위) and Daenggi(댕기) and others such as Durumagi, Jegori and Chima(치마). What is interesting is that old clothes handed down to the present are mostly boys' and few of them are girls'. This is probably because of the strong preference for boys rather than girls that continued until the end of the 20th century. Ordinary people dressed their new - born babies with simple white clothes until Samchilil (the 21st day) or Baekil (the 100thday) but, for these occasions, the royal family prepared clothes as formal as those for the $1^{st}$ birthday among the public. Rainbow-striped garments were more popular among the public than in the royal family. As rainbow colors were known to Korean people to dispel evil power and bring in fortunes, rainbow - striped garments were essential for the $1^{st}$ birthday and festive days. However, they were seldom used in ordinarytimes, and most boys and girls wore plain jackets and plain topcoats. When children's clothes in noble families were compared with royal family's ones, either handed down to the present or found in old literature, no significant difference was observed in the basic composition of everyday dress. In particular, it was found that Andong Kim's family had dressed their children with very formal dress such as Dopo and Sagyusam. Among children's clothes, the most gorgeous one was that worn on the $1^{st}$ birthday, and those for other occasions or festive days were similar or simpler. Colors, patterns and designs used in decorating children's clothes mostly had the meanings of seeking fortunes for children such as long life, wealth and prosperity.
With the continuous development of automobile design industry, fastback design style has become the main popular trend of automobile appearance design, and it has an important impact on the future automobile appearance design. This study summarizes the basic rules and characteristics of the design style base don combing, analyzing and verifying the data of the fastback design style. It provides the necessary basic research for the better application of the fastback design style in the future automobile design. Firstly, through the literature research method to sort out and analyze the de finition, origin and history of fastback design style. Secondly, through the comparative study, the author compares and analyzes the characteristics, advantages and disadvantages of the fastback design style and the step back design style. Thirdly, through case analysis, it studies the classification and characteristics of fastback design style. Finally, this paper summarizes the influence of the fastback design style on the future automobile appearance design, and the specific design methods. Forecasts the development trend of fastback design style in the field of automobile exterior design in the future. Through this research, we sorted out the related historical development of fastback design and the characteristics and advantages of fastback design style (from the perspective of functionality, economy and aesthetics).The fastback design style has formed a more systematic research theory, which provides basic research materials for future fastback design research. In the next stage, this study will be further subdivided, focusing on the different design features of different automobile manufacturers which subdivide the fastback design style into different design features according to their own needs.
We can anticipate that animations will form one of the axes and lead popular culture in our future visual age. Recently, research has been actively conducted, but it mainly focuses on their value in culture industry or technologies and methods of producing animations. Of course, research that deals with animation characters has constantly come out. This study focuses on the 'formative elements' of 3D animation characters and attempts differentiation from other research by inducing new logic theoretically. Being freed from the research on characters that has been merely focused on theoretical grounds, this study intends to figure out how audience that is consumers who actually get to watch and feel animations recognizes them and find out related problems and also solutions for them. In particular, this study intends to examine the formative characteristics of 3D animation characters with the characters appearing in , one of the animations that have achieved artistic value as well as commercial success. And for that, the study conducted not only literature review but various surveys and Delphi method as well. Also, the researcher devised an analysis frame to evaluate the formative elements through in-depth discussion with experts. And with this, the study created the forms such as the Elements of Form, Formation Methods of Form and Visual Recognition Elements of Form, examined how audience recognized 3D characters. The process of recognizing an image is influenced by socio-cultural environment or sex, age, and the level of knowledge differently. This was meant to investigate current visual culture and the public's perspective through characters in that represent the visual mode.
