The purpose of this study was to examine the characteristic expression of Korean traditional costumes shown in the Korean paintings by Kim Hyun-Jung. The study analyzed the paintings by Kim Hyun-Jung to find out the characteristics of the contemporary Korean paintings and the expression of Korean traditional costumes. The characteristics of Kim Hyun-Jung's works are as follows: 1) The paintings are drawn by using Korean traditional painting methods and finished with Korean traditional paper, hanji. Moreover, they show the Korean traditional costume as main subject material. 2) They use modern painting methods, such as collage, and show pop art characters by use of contemporary popular products. 3) The artist communicates with the public through SNS and YouTube, and shows characteristics of popular art through commercial art products and advertisements. The characteristics of the Korean traditional costume in Kim Hyun-Jung's works are as follows. 1) The hanbok shown in the paintings is a traditional style with tight jeogori and wide chima. Chima is drawn in thin coloring with Korean ink and jeogori is expressed with semi-transparent hanji in various patterns and colors, which shows the subject 'coy'. 2) Various kinds of Korean traditional accessories and modernized flower shoes with high heels are shown as subject materials. The art works by contemporary Korean artists are expected to be the route to give valuable information to the public about Korean traditional costumes as well as the trendy Korean culture.

This study examines the process and scope of visual directing through the case of SM Entertainment, and explores the role of visual directors. As a result of the case study, SM created the visual directing team composed of art director and visual designers within the creative headquarters and was actively introducing visual directing for the development of idol. The visual directing process of SM, which is being developed as a part of the star marketing, consists of analyzing the environment in marketing strategy, establishing marketing strategy related to idol, setting up target image per artist, and finally planning and managing the visual directing project. The visual director in SM is required to have creative talent, logical persuasion, information analytical ability, visual expression ability, and field application ability. SM also applies visual directing accumulated from idol singers to SM business areas such as MD product design and production, product composition and designer collaboration, and SM town COEX artium. This paper have significance in attracting visual directing to the academic field.

The purpose of this study is to help understanding of patterns and to play a guideline's role in the development of designs and the prediction of trends for present and future fashion designers and textile designers. The methods of this study are the study of academic literatures as well as practical study through the analysis about actual works. The results of study are like followings. An inquiry of Pattern history in 20c is divided into six periods by the classification of styles and the styles of fashion culture according to other artistic formative will. Main trends of Pattern's image in each period and characteristics in each dimensions of Pattern image positioning are like followings. Art Nouveau style period from 1900 to 1910 is , Art Deco style period from 1910 to 1920 is , Elegance style period of 1930s is , and New Romantic style period from 1945 to mid 1950s and Pop style period from late 1950s to mid 1970s does not show main Pattern image but they are shown in four Pattern image of , , , . Compromising style period from late 1980s to 1990s shows all of four Pattern image, at the same time shows intensive main Pattern's image, .

The purpose of this study is to grasp the world of Galliano works who lead Dior Couture and to make use of this knowledge to comprehension of general trend in Haute Couture and $pr{\hat{e}}t-{\acute{a}}$-porter in the future. The method of research is to search for the characteristic of Haute Couture and the general tendency of Galliano works, and to view the inclination of Dior Couture by Galliano. For sphere of research, 2000s is discussed with focus on Haute Couture, exclusive of ready-to-wear. As a result, Galliano's Couture works were distinguished into four specificities. First, the historicity including historical event, personage and epoch. Second, the orientalism. Third, the pictorial characteristic including synthetic art and public art. Forth, the quality of humor. These subjects bring about a result that break down each boundary, in the method of interpreting, as try out mixing between every elements. Galliano pursue a new domain through the fusion of East and West, past and present, classic and pop, artistry and commercialism, this induce more familiar Haute Couture to the public, breaking the strict form of Couture. It seems that this tendency will be advanced toward extrovert Couture producing the low-age phenomenon in Couture, the mixture of multi-culture and the vitality. This fusion suggest the popularity and the commerciality of Couture, which is predicted decrease the difference between Couture and $pr{\hat{e}}t-{\acute{a}}$-porter.

Digital is the main topic of 21C design. Experts analyzed that pop art and related cultural products are becoming popular as digital generations of twenties to forties are centered of new art culture. This survey is to suggest the differentiated jewelry products which are out of the existing products as combining the embodiment of various colors by using celebrities who are taken kindly to and the lenticular which can be image converted through an optical illusion. As public's living standard is getting improved, design elements would come into the spotlight. Therefore, this research is expected to work as the part of an epoch-making design in the jewelry industry by extending the design field.

The historicism and romanticism of John Galliano's designs are rivaled only by the spectacular and theatrical nature of his fashion shows; romantic silhouette, the complexity of the cut and, of course, the painstaking attention to historical detail. Galliano's approach is very much that of a British designer in that he absorbs wildly diverging historical and cultural elements to invent new hybridizations of the contemporary. Galliano started his career as part of the wildly uninhibited avant-garde London design scene. His designs were twisted and artfully torn, weired and also beautiful. The purpose of this study is to investigate the Comic Expression depicted on John Galliano's works by borrowing the Comic. The Comic or the Comedy is a kind of art form that signifies exciting effects, and so, is a means of raising a laugh. The similar concepts of the Comic already were depicted by means of transformation and distortion of form, satire, fantastic pastiche and reversion of substances on Cubism, Dada, Surrealism, Pop Art and Postmodernism. Therefore, John Galliano selected the quixotic expressional methods to seek for having playful fun. The aesthetics of the Comic is the beauty based on quantitative or qualitative contradiction between expectations and realizations. That is, the Comic is characterized by getting rid of stress through laugh with clarifying a subject of contradiction. This study found that John Galliano's designs are expressed the quixotic comic on Historical image, Exotic image and Primitive image to make a complaint against the social evils.

Dresses of the 1950s and 60s when the range and changes of fashion were wide and heavy were closely related with various styles of that time's architecture from the form, use of material, structure to the color. In this, study, characteristics of formalism and brutalism, main architectural streams of that period, such as line, structure, function, material, texture and color are analyzed in detail and these characteristics and those of dress are compared and analyzed to see if there are common aesthetic senses between them. It is particularly noteworthy that at that time formalistic architecture represented joy and abundance through enriched creation of appearance and flowing, symbolic linear beauty while the brutalistic produced young and vivid liveliness through functional, reasonable and moderate beauty, and this young and joyful atmosphere coincided exactly with frank, lively aesthetic senses of the young generation's fashion. Therefore, we can see common significance in the following fact ; architectural modes and fashion art of the 1950s and 60s were the result of more humane and enriched expressions from economical growth, and also product of that time's desire to adapt itself realistically to the rapid, complicated pop culture resulted from mass production.

This study focuses on the application of collage techniques to contemporary fashion and intends to show that collage techniques have a significant influence on contemporary fashion, leading to a more creative design aesthetic through the combination of fashion and art. The author carried out an empirical analysis focusing on domestic and global fashion collections from 2000S/S to 2010F/W, fashion publications, and internet data, along with a literature review. As a result, the papier-colle approach, as represented by cubism, showed a creative surface effect through the texture of the paper itself by applying real paper and other materials directly to the clothing items. Second, Dadaist ready-made expressed a distortion of the material and freedom of expression by creating a collage with ready-made fashion items and daily necessities. Third, a photomontage expressed unique images by printing various images of photos that contrasted in perspective. In addition to this, beauty in dissonance and a new sense of space by a collage of disparate material. Fourth, decalcomanie was expressed by printing methods, giving a stable image of the symmetry of the perfect landscape as well as the unintended effect of coincidence in abstract images and particular textures. Fifth, assemblage as the representative collage technique of pop art introduced the overall object itself or modified form by combining it with fashion to express three-dimensional aggregate structures.

The objective of this study is to identify the influence of utilization of SNS among consumers who watch performance art on their behavioral intention in the future when there has been an increasing usage of SNS among consumers along with an increasing importance of SNS in the field of performance art and also the influence of SNS characteristics on behavioral intention of performance art consumers in the future according to their preferred genres. According to the results of empirical analysis in this study, usefulness, pleasure, and social influence, as SNS characteristics, turned out to positively influence on behavioral intention in the future. According to the result of analysis in difference of influence on behavioral intention in the future depending on preferred performance art genre, usefulness, pleasure, and availability in order among SNS characteristics turned out to influence on behavioral intention in the future in pop-music/entertainment concert. In addition, only usefulness turned out to influence on behavioral intention in the musical. Usefulness and availability in order turned out to influence on behavioral intention in the act. Lastly, only usefulness turned out to influence on behavioral intention in the music/ballet. According to aforementioned results of the study, it implies that SNS characteristics of performance art audiences are influencing on behavioral intention in the future. In addition, since there is a difference in behavioral intention in the future among art consumers in each genre, it is required to differentiate utilization and strategies of SNS in each genre.

This study focused on situational simularity of psychedelic expressed in the mid-1960s with culture including costume in the end of 20th century. So this study is composed of psychedelic concept and the comparision of temporal background and general characteristics of psychedelia in the 1960s and 1990s and relationship with Art-Nouveau which has originated psychedelia and psycheelic image including mysticism play illusionism and narcissism. The New psychedelic revival of the early 1980s came at a time when as in the mid-1960s the world's attentions were firmly focused on British youth. The same could be said of the mid-1990s when 'BriPop' once again has international appeal and the result has been a kind of New New Psychedelic revival with all manner of British youth styles from the 1960s blended together.
