  • 2001년 5월 스톡홀름에서는 92개국이 DDT, 다이옥신 등 12개 잔류성 유기오염물질 (POPs, persistent organic pollutants)의 궁극적 소멸을 목표로, 배출 및 사용 저감을 위하여 유엔협약인 이른바 스톡홀름협약에 서명하였다. 이는 유럽에서 UNECE (United Nations Economic Commissions for Europe) 장거리 이동 대기오염 협약의 일환으로 1998년 6월 덴마크 오후스에서 체결된 POPs에 관한 의정서에 뒤이은 결과이다 1998년 6월 오후스에서는 POPs와 함께 수은, 카드뮴, 납 등 3개 중금속에 관한 의정서가 체결되어 중금속에 관한 향후 국제사회의 동향을 짐작케 하고 있다.   • The purposes of this study were to compare and analyze application cases of POP(Point of Purchase) in each ISM(In Store Merchandising) for domestic and imported cosmetics. to present basic data for setting up effective marketing strategies according to types of ISM. The results were as follows : 1. In the Department Stores, counselling comers for customers were located at all domestic and imported cosmetics. A small quantify of new release cosmetic items were displayed in order to elevate those added value in most cosmetics floors excepts Estee Lauder. 2. In the Discount Stores, most cosmetic items were displayed in category or in color for customers to choose those easily. 3. In the Cosmetics Specialties. display for show case couldn't be accessible by customers and cosmetic items were disordered because too many itmes from various companies were displayed

  • This paper reports the physical properties and hydration products of slag cement that was prepared by activating ground granulated blast furnace slag with commercial lime and plaster of Paris (POP) as activators. The consistency, setting times and soundness of various mixes of slag-lime-POP is reported. The hydration products and formation of bonds in the paste during setting were studied with the help of SEM, FTIR and XRD tests and the same are correlated to the hydration process. The setting times of the mixes are found to be lower than that of the value prescribed for ordinary Portland cement (OPC). Borax is used as a setting retarder and a borax content of 0.4 % by mass gives setting times that are normally prescribed for OPC. In the early stages of setting C-A-S-H gels are found in this cementing material instead of C-S-H gel, as generally observed in the OPC.

  • In this paper, we design and implement A4 sized, web-based POP(Print On Demand) system using multi-layer technique. We Propose the framework of POP system, which uses multi-layer technique, uses highly accessible web-service, produces template, enables a user to easily edit, and allows the user to instantly print edited files. This system will be widely used in web-based electronic publication and e-book.

  • 1994년 국내에 인터넷 붐이 일어나고 사용이 보편화되면서 전자메일은 개인간의 메세징을 가능하게 해주는 기반기술 중 하나로 자리잡고 있다. 기존의 POP(Post Office Protocol) 프로토콜을 이용하던 전자메일 시스템은 POP 프로토콜의 불편함을 제거한 별도의 세팅없이 지역, 언어, 시간에 제약이 없는 웹기반의 메세징 시스템이 등장하게 되었다. 현재 이러한 메세징 시스템에 사용되어지는 MTA(Mail Transper Agent)로는 sendmail을 거의 표준으로 받아 들여지고 있다. 그러나 sendmail은 단일 모듈로 작성되었으며 덩치가 매우 크고 보안상 문제점도 지적되고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 sendmail의 문제점을 효율적으로 해결할 수 있는 qmail의 활용방법을 제시하고 웹과 qmail을 연계할 수 있도록 자바를 통한 보안성, 안전성, 효율성이 강화된 인터넷 메세징 시스템을 설계 및 구현한다.

  • DNC(Distributed Numerical controller)는 제품을 생산하기 위해 현장용 컴퓨터를 이용하여 공작기계 및 주변장치를 제어하고 감시한다. 본 논문에서는 SFC/OP(Shop Floor Control/point of Production) 시스템과 연계시키기 위한 DNC 시스템의 구조를 제시한다. 본 시스템은 도면 정보를 유기적으로 연결하여 작업절차서를 조회하고, 작업절차서 및 NC 프로그램/공구 보정 데이타를 인덱스 데이터베이스화하고, 소재·지그·공구를 연계한다. 또한 생산정보를 빠르고 능동적으로 현장 작업자에게 전달하고, 기계의 상태정보를 기계로부터 직접 수집함으로써 실시간 모니터링이 가능하다. 분석 및 설계단계에서는 실시간으로 발생하는 이벤트를 처리하기 위해 상태전이도(State Transition Diagram)를 사용한다. 서버 DBMS(Database Management System)로 관계형 데이터베이스를 채택한 Oracle을 사용하였고, 프로그램 개발도구로는 Developer 2000, Microsoft Visual C++ 5.0을 사용하여 구현한다.

Optimization of Geometries in PDP Cell by Optical Simulation (광학 시뮬레이션을 통한 PDP cell 구조의 최적화)

  • The detailed studies regarding to the front and rear panel geometries of plasma display were needed to improve the luminance and efficiency. In plasma displays, 3-dimensional optical code can be used to analyze the variation of geometries and the changing of optical properties. The visible light distributions and illuminance were simulated depending on bus electrode position, ITO geometries, and alteration of dielectric layer's properties. This paper is concerned with development of a cell having high luminance and high efficiency for optical simulation. And the result of values could be expected to the application of real POP cell.

  • The present study employed an experimental usability testing technique to explore cognitive engineering characteristics of WWW. Based on the results of our previous study which employed non-experimental methods such as questionnaire and heuristic evaluation method, this study used a behavioral performance-measurement technique to evaluate the usability of a domestic web-site design. Specifically, we revised the menu and document structure of the original 'Movie-Friend' site to solve the design problems which were extracted from the results of the heuristic evaluation method of our previous study. Exp. 1 compared the relative navigation efficiency of the original frame menu site and the revised pop-up toolbar site, and Exp. 2 compared the toolbar menu site and the revised frame site. As a result of Exp. 1, the revised pop-up toolbar site showed improved navigation efficiency compared to the original site, as indicated by the mean latency and the number of pathways to reach the target page. However, we found no performance difference between the frame site and toolbar site in Exp. 2.
