잠재오염원을 이용한 포항지역의 광역적 지하수 오염 위험성 평가 (Assessment of Regional Groundwater Pollution Hazard using Potential Pollutant of Pohang Area)

  • 본 연구에서는 미국 EPA에서 개발된 DRASTIC 시스템을 이용하여 지하수 오염 취약성을 평가 후, 잠재오염원 자료를 이용하여 광역적인 지하수 오염 위험성을 평가하였다. 이를 위해 포항지역에 대해 지하수면의 깊이, 충진량, 대수층, 토양층, 지형경사, 수리전도도, 선구조, 잠재오염원 등 수리지질학적 자료와 현장조사를 통해 잠재오염원을 공간 데이터베이스로 구축하였다. 구축된 공간 데이터베이스를 GIS 기반으로 DRASTIC 시스템에 적용하여 광역적 지하수 오염 취약성을 평가하였으며, 지하수 오염 취약성 평가 결과와 잠재오염원의 분포를 중첩 분석하여 지하수 오염 위험성을 평가하였다. 이를 통해 지하수 오염 위험성은 대수층의 지하수 오염에 대한 취약성과 잠재오염원의 분포 정도에 따라 4가지 유형으로 분류할 수 있으며, 그 유형에 따라 적절한 지하수 수질관리의 방향을 제시할 수 있도록 하였다. 또한 그 결과는 행정구역별로 도출하여 향후 관리상의 편의를 도모할 수 있도록 하였다. 본 연구에서 도입한 지하수 오염 위험성 평가 기법은 비교적 손쉽게 기존의 지하수 오염 취약성 평가를 실제 지하수 수질관리 계획 수립 시에 활용될 수 있다.

의료기관의 위험도 분석 조사 - 지역공공의료원을 중심으로 (A Study on the Hazard and Risk Analysis of Hospital in Korea - Focused on Local Medical Centers)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyse the hazard risk by examining the magnitude and severity of each type of hazard in order to mitigate and prepare for disasters in medical facilities. Methods: The hazard risk analysis for hazard types was surveyed for team leaders of medical facilities. The questionnaire analyzed data from 27 facilities, which were returned from 41 Local Medical Centers. Results: When looking at the 'Risk' by category type of hazard, the influence of health safety and fire/energy safety comes first, followed by natural disaster, facility safety, and crime safety. On the other hand, as for 'Magnitude', facility safety and crime safety come first, followed by health safety, fire/energy safety, and natural disasters. Most of the top types of disaster judged to have high hazard in medical facilities are health types. The top five priorities of hazard in medical facilities, they are affected by the geographical and industrial conditions of the treatment area. In the case of cities, the hazard was found to be high in the order of infectious disease, patient surge, and wind and flood damage. On the other hand, in rural areas, livestock diseases and infectious diseases showed the highest hazard. In the case of forest areas, the hazard was high in the order of wildfire, fire accident, lightning, tide, earthquake, and landslide, whereas in coastal areas of industrial complexes, the hazard was high due to fire, landslide, water pollution, marine pollution, and chemical spill accident. Implications: Through the research, standards will be established for the design of hospitals with disaster preparedness, and will contribute to the preparation of preemptive measures in terms of maintenance.

도시기후 평가와 방재를 위한 도시기상 수치모의 (Numerical Simulation for Urban Climate Assessment and Hazard)

  • Since it is important to understand the bio-climatic change in Seoul for ecological city planning in the future, this paper gives an overview on bio-climate analysis of urban environments at Seoul. We analyzed its characteristics in recent years using the observations of 24 of Automatic Weather Station (AWS) by Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA). In urbanization, Seoul metropolitan area is densely populated and is concentrated with high buildings. This urban activity changes land covering, which modifies the local circulation of radiation, heat and moisture, precipitation and creating a specific climate. Urban climate is evidently manifested in the phenomena of the increase of the air temperature, called urban heat Island and in addition urban sqall line of heavy rain. Since a city has its different land cover and street structure, these form their own climate character such as climate comfort zone. The thermal fold in urban area such as the heat island is produced by the change of land use and the air pollution that provide the bio-climate change of urban eco-system. The urban wind flow is the most important climate element on dispersion of air pollution, thermal effects and heavy shower. Numerical modeling indicates that the bio-climatic transition of wind wake in urban area and the dispersion of the air pollution by the simulations of the wind variation depend on the urban land cover change. The winds are separately simulated on small and micro-scale at Seoul with two kinds of kinetic model, Witrak and MUKLIMO.

고형연료제품 사용시설에 따른 다환방향족탄화수소 (PAHs)의 배출특성 및 유해성 평가 (Emission Characteristics and Hazard Assessment of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbon (PAHs) from Solid Fuel Facilities)

  • Recently, the earth has shown the limit of environmental capacity. It is also experiencing an environmental crisis with rising energy prices and depletion of coal. Therefore, development of renewable energy is very important solution. However, waste fuel solid are renewable fuels, but they cause environmental problems. In this study, the emission characteristics of hazardous air pollutants were analyzed through measurements at the facilities using solid fuels (SRF, BIO-SRF). Analysis method of PAHs are based on the Korea Standard Methods for Examination. The analysis of PAHs showed that the concentration much higher in Naphthalene, and Benzo(a)pyrene showed at a higher concentration incertain sources. As a result of gas phase and particle phase PAHs, most of Benzo(a)pyrene appeared to be particulate. Through the results of this study will provide basic data for atmospheric environmental management.

  • Among many sources of soil and water pollution, former mining regions also play an important role in distribution and scope of pollution. In response, KMRC has made an investigation into the status mine hazard at the abandoned metalliferous mine area in Korea. In this study, we analyzed distribution of mine hazards at abandoned metalliferous mines using GIS. We considered the distribution of mine hazards and its magnitude for each abandoned mine and displayed the mine hazard index (MHI) using GIS. We divided the MHI value for each mine into 5 classes, and displayed the first class as smallest point symbol and the last class as biggest point symbol. The biggest symbol shows the most serious status of mine hazards. This GIS function was included in the AMGIS system KMRS are running, and it would be helpful to make decision of reclamation priority at abandoned metalliferous mine area.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 효율적인 해양개발과 이용 및 해양오염방지를 위해서 해양환경보존과 해양오염 방지에 대한 정보를 이용자가 정확하고 쉽게 접근할 수 있도록 하기 위함이며, 날로 증가추세에 있는 유해화학물질 사고의 피해를 최소화하기 위하여 유해화학물질의 특성과 사고발생시 방재 대책 등을 수록한 유해화학물질 특성정보 1,000종을 데이터베이스화하여 연구전산망과 상용망을 통하여 제공하고 있다.

K-PSR을 이용한 LNG 충진소에 대한 정성적 위험성평가 (Qualitative Hazard Analysis for LNG Gas Stations Using K-PSR Method)

  • 대기오염의 저감을 위한 천연가스자동차의 보급으로 LNG 및 CNG 충전소의 보급도 늘어나고 있는 추세이다. 하지만 1998년 부천 LPG 충전소의 화재 폭발사고와 같은 대형가스사고 때문에 충전소의 설치는 많은 어려움을 겪고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 LCNG/LNG 복합충전소를 연구대상으로 선정하고 현장방문을 통하여 정성적 위험성평가를 수행하였고, 위험성감소방안(권고사항)을 제시하였다. K-PSR을 이용한 정성적 위험성평가 수행결과 누출에 의한 잠재위험성이 가능 크게 나타났으며, 특히 탱크로리에서 LNG 저장탱크로의 하역작업 중 LNG의 누출에 의한 위험성이 가장 크게 나타났다.

매립장 침출수 환경 재해에 관한 연구 (Analysis of Environmental Hazard by the Leachate from Disposal Waste)

  • 생활폐기물 및 산업폐기물은 인간의 활동으로부터 배출되며 소각법 혹은 매립법 또는 2가지 방법을 동시에 이용하여 처리되고 있다. 특히 매립법은 침출수로 인하여 매립지가 있는 지역의 지하수계를 심각하게 오염시켜 환경재해를 발생시키고 있다. 따라서 오염지역의 침출수 오염특성을 3차원적으로 조사하여 환경재해를 최소화하는 것이 중요하다. 본 연구는 비위생 매립지인 충주시 노은 매립장의 3차원적 침출수 오염특성을 조사하였다. 조사를 위한 1개 측선의 방향은 주된 매립지 경계와 평행하도록 설치하였다. 노은 매립장을 탐사한 결과 가장 상부층은 안정화가 완전하게 진행되었으나 가장 하부층은 부분적으로 침출수가 일부 존재하는 것으로 분석되었다.

A Production Method of Landslide Hazard Map by Combining Logistic Regression Analysis and AHP(Analytical Hierarchy Process) Approach Selecting Target Sites for Non-point Source Pollution Management Using Analytic Hierarchy Process

  • The LRA(Logistic Regression Analysis) conducts a quantitative analysis by collecting a lot of samples and the AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Program) makes use of expert decision influenced by subjective judgment to a certain degree. This study is to suggest a combination method in mapping landslide hazard by giving equal weight for the result of LRA and AHP. Topographic factors(slope, aspect, elevation), soil dram, soil depth and land use were adopted to classify landslide hazard areas. The three methods(LRA, AHP, the combined approach) was applied to a $520km^2$ region located in the middle of South Korea which have occurred 39 landslides during 1999 and 2003. The suggested method showed 58.9% matching rate for the real landslide sites comparing with the classified areas of high-risk landslide While LRA and AHP Showed 46.1% and 48.7% matching rates respectively. Further studies are recommended to find the optimal combining weight of LRA and AHP with more landslide data.
