By comparing the user's subjective reaction of UHD and UWV, the purpose of this study is to systematically establish the user's subjective video quality evaluation. For this purpose, a large screen projection experiment is designed by setting the screen size (4k x 2k, 8k x 2k) and content types (sports, landscape, concert) as variables to measure the user's subjective video quality evaluation and satisfaction. As a result of the study, the users' evaluation of UWV was higher than UHD in all items of subjective video quality, and satisfaction. Moreover, the results showed the significant differences depending on the video contents. Based on the results of the research, the study proposed the points necessary for the development and commercialization of UWV panoramic technology, and suggestions for the future research.

Projects are mostly focused on the on-site of royal tombs with little paying attention to converging projects utilizing digital and on line techniques. Some suggestions are the followings: increase of the budget on projects utilizing the royal tombs of the Joseon Dynasty, development of content peculiar to each tomb, development of industrial projects, development of converging projects utilizing digital and on line techniques, establishment of new medium and long term plans for utilization of the royal tombs of the Joseon Dynasty and so on.

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study is to examine the current status of Korean medicine health technology assessment and explore realistic plans to activate it. Methods: We investigated all the applications for new health technology assessment related to Korean medicine from 2007 to 2016. The several expert meetings were held to draw out the barriers and improvement strategies of the new health technology assessment of Korean medicine field. Results: There were 31 cases in total except for duplications or reapplies falling into 3 main types. First, 19 of them were to try to enter a medical market and be covered by National Health Insurance. Eight cases were to apply western medicine technology as new health technology in Korean medicine area. The rest was 4 cases, which were totally not appropriate for the purpose of new health technology assessment system. According to the expert opinion, the obstacles of activation in new health technology assessment of Korean medicine were application of unstandardized technology, lack of understanding and experience, lack of clinical trial supporting system for Korean medicine, lack of committee members within the nHTA(new Health Technology Assessment) review board, ambiguous definition of medical practice and sharp conflict between western medicine and Korean medicine. Conclusions: Several suggestions were derived. First of all, to activate Korean medicine in the nHTA system, the existing system should be used sufficiently, and multifaceted efforts are needed to upgrade the system, if necessary. Also, self-help efforts, Korean medicine clinical trial supporting system and increasing R&D investment, establishing extra-committee for Korean medicine in nHTA could be needed. Finally, long-term strategy for improving collaboration between Korean medicine and western medicine should be considered.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the gap of private tutoring expenditure using data from 2001 to 2016 of Korean labor and income panel study (KLIPS). The final analysis target is about 1,300 to 1,800 households nationwide who participated in the Korean labor panel survey in each year. As a result of the analysis, the expenditure of private tutoring expenditure has been continuously increased since 2001, and it is analyzed that there is a large gap in expenditure of private tutoring even in the comparison of groups divided by the quintile. The spending gap on private tutoring expenditure in the first and fifth quintiles has increased steadily, reaching 11 times in recent years. By forecasting the polarization of private tutoring expenditure since 2016 using the Brown's smoothing method, it is highly likely that the polarization of private tutoring expenditure will be further expanded. The implications for preparing an alternative educational policy and suggestions of conducting a follow-up study for private tutoring expenditure gaps were also discussed.
