UHD (Ultra High Definition) broadcasting technology, and UWV (Ultra Wide Vision) which is the high quality panoramic video of wide view angle based on UHD, were commercialized in Korea for the first time in the world, and those are representative realistic video technologies that maximize the user's sense of presence. By comparing the user's subjective reaction of UHD and UWV, the purpose of this study is to systematically establish the user's subjective video quality evaluation. For this purpose, a large screen projection experiment is designed by setting the screen size (4k x 2k, 8k x 2k) and content types (sports, landscape, concert) as variables to measure the user's subjective video quality evaluation and satisfaction. As a result of the study, the users' evaluation of UWV was higher than UHD in all items of subjective video quality, and satisfaction. Participants in the chatbot group consisted of 36 students while those in the human group were 34. Over 16 weeks, the chatbot group engaged in ten chat sessions with a chatbot while the human group had a chat with a human chat partner. Both pre- and post-tests were performed to examine changes in the participants' grammar skills over time. To compare the improvement between the two groups, an independent t-test was then run. Korean government has taken positive policies, including making "An Basic Plan on the Conservation and Activation of the Royal Tombs of the Joseon Dynasty, UNESCO World Heritage", since 40 royal tombs of the Joseon Dynasty were inscribed as UNESCO World Heritage in 2009. However, projects utilizing the royal tombs of the Joseon Dynasty are in the beginning step and very few has been researched on those projects academically. This study analyzed total 311 projects utilizing the royal tombs of the Joseon Dynasty, which have been made by the Cultural Heritage Administration of Korea from 2009 to 2014, through the literature review and content analysis methodology. An analysis frame consists of educational, touristic, compound and industrial activation on the basis of the utilization types made by the Cultural Heritage Administration of Korea. Most projects utilizing the royal tombs of the Joseon Dynasty are in the very beginning step in terms of educational and touristic utilization. No project utilizing the royal tombs of the Joseon Dynasty in terms of industrial utilization is found. Those projects are almost similar without distinctive characteristics peculiar to each royal tombs. Most projects have been taken on the short term level and the budget size for those is not enough. Projects are mostly focused on the on-site of royal tombs with little paying attention to converging projects utilizing digital and on line techniques. Some suggestions are the followings: increase of the budget on projects utilizing the royal tombs of the Joseon Dynasty, development of content peculiar to each tomb, development of industrial projects, development of converging projects utilizing digital and on line techniques, establishment of new medium and long term plans for utilization of the royal tombs of the Joseon Dynasty and so on.

Objectives: The purpose of this study is to examine the current status of Korean medicine health technology assessment and explore realistic plans to activate it. Methods: We investigated all the applications for new health technology assessment related to Korean medicine from 2007 to 2016. The several expert meetings were held to draw out the barriers and improvement strategies of the new health technology assessment of Korean medicine field. Results: There were 31 cases in total except for duplications or reapplies falling into 3 main types. First, 19 of them were to try to enter a medical market and be covered by National Health Insurance. Eight cases were to apply western medicine technology as new health technology in Korean medicine area. The rest was 4 cases, which were totally not appropriate for the purpose of new health technology assessment system. According to the expert opinion, the obstacles of activation in new health technology assessment of Korean medicine were application of unstandardized technology, lack of understanding and experience, lack of clinical trial supporting system for Korean medicine, lack of committee members within the nHTA(new Health Technology Assessment) review board, ambiguous definition of medical practice and sharp conflict between western medicine and Korean medicine. Conclusions: Several suggestions were derived. First of all, to activate Korean medicine in the nHTA system, the existing system should be used sufficiently, and multifaceted efforts are needed to upgrade the system, if necessary. Also, self-help efforts, Korean medicine clinical trial supporting system and increasing R&D investment, establishing extra-committee for Korean medicine in nHTA could be needed. Finally, long-term strategy for improving collaboration between Korean medicine and western medicine should be considered.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the gap of private tutoring expenditure using data from 2001 to 2016 of Korean labor and income panel study (KLIPS). The final analysis target is about 1,300 to 1,800 households nationwide who participated in the Korean labor panel survey in each year. As a result of the analysis, the expenditure of private tutoring expenditure has been continuously increased since 2001, and it is analyzed that there is a large gap in expenditure of private tutoring even in the comparison of groups divided by the quintile. The spending gap on private tutoring expenditure in the first and fifth quintiles has increased steadily, reaching 11 times in recent years. By forecasting the polarization of private tutoring expenditure since 2016 using the Brown's smoothing method, it is highly likely that the polarization of private tutoring expenditure will be further expanded. The implications for preparing an alternative educational policy and suggestions of conducting a follow-up study for private tutoring expenditure gaps were also discussed.
The OECD ITP project has looked at the black box of each participating countries' teacher education system. In the 2000s, various countries have tried to reform their professional development systems for teachers, including teacher education and induction, as an initial yet crucial step to improve the quality of education. Since 2015, OECD member countries have been conducting an international comparison study on teacher education and induction programs(i.e. ITP). The ITP project is an in-depth comparative study among the member countries that have expressed willingness to participate voluntarily. This paper introduces the progress of the ITP project and analyzed the national background report on the teacher education and induction system of the participating countries and compared the features of the systems. In addition, this study explores the common issues surrounding the teacher education and induction system. Moreover, the researcher has tried to derive some suggestions for improvement of teacher education and induction system in Korea.
