DiffServ 망에서 완전한 QoS를 망 사용자에게 제공하기 위해서는 downstream 트래픽 뿐만 아니라, upstream 트래픽에 marking, policing 을 적용해 주어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 downstream 트래픽에만 QoS를 적용하는 단방향 트래픽 제어기법과, downstream및 upstream 트래픽에 QoS를 적용하는 양방향 QoS 서비스 기법을 비교하기 위하여, cisco 라우터를 이용하여 QoS 테스트베드를 구성하고, 성능을 측정 및 분석하였다.

The leaky bucket scheme is a promising method that regulates input traffics for preventive congestion control. In the ATM network, the input traffics are bursty and transmitted at high-speed. In order to get the low loss probability for bursty input traffics, it is known that the leaky bucket scheme with static leaky rate requires larger data buffer and token pool size. This causes the increase of the mean waiting time for an input traffic to pass the policing function, which would be inappropriate for real time traffics such as voice and video. We present the leaky bucket scheme with dynamic leaky rate in which the token generation period changes according to buffer occupancy. In the leaky bucket scheme with dynamic leaky rate, the cell loss probability and the mean waiting time are reduced in comparison with the leaky bucket scheme with static leaky rate. We analyze the performance of the proposed leaky bucket scheme in discrete-time case by assuming arrival process to be Markov-modulated Bernoulli process (MMBP).

Network virtualization enables us to make efficient use of resources in a physical network by embedding multiple virtual networks in the physical network. In this paper, we develop a prototype of a virtual network embedding system. Our system consists of OpenStack, which is an open source cloud service platform, and shell scripts. Because OpenStack does not provide a quality of service control function, we realize bandwidth reservation for virtual links by making use of the ingress policing function of Open vSwitch, which is a virtual switch used in OpenStack. The shell scripts in our system automatically construct the required virtual network on the physical network using the OpenStack command-line interface, and they reserve bandwidth for virtual links using the Open vSwitch command. Experimental evaluation confirms that our system constructs the requested virtual network and appropriately allocates node and link resources to it.

이 연구는 한국의 경찰관 841명에게 설문조사를 실시하여 말콰드의 학습조직이론을 실증적으로 검증하였다. 23개의 경찰서와 경찰종합학교에서 설문을 수집하였고, 경찰서의 규모와 지역, 계급과 경과를 고려하여 표본을 선정하였다. 이 연구를 통해서 학습조직의 하위체계인 첨단기술의 활용이 학습조직이 실현되는 학습의 역동성에 직접적인 영향을 미친다고 검증되었다. 경찰 학습조직을 구축하기 위해서 경찰관리자가 첨단기술의 활용능력을 향상시켜 경찰조직을 학습조직으로 만들어야 한다. 학습조직이 되면 경찰관들은 문제해결을 위해 보다 넓은 분야에서 능력을 향상시킬 수 있고, 그런 발전이 있어야 경찰활동을 잘 수행할 수 있다.

The main purpose of the research is to examine the mediating effect of cooperation with the police on compliance with the law in the causal relationship between procedural justice and police legitimacy and criminal deterrence. This research employs a survey questionnaire to evaluate procedural justice, police legitimacy, cooperation with the police, and compliance with the law. The number of subject of the study is 312 citizens residing in Daegu metropolitan city and some cities of Gyeongsangbuk-do province. The study employs Structural Equation Model by using AMOS 24 to analyze the mediating effect of cooperation with the police on compliance with the law. As the result of analysis, the mediating effect of cooperation with the police on compliance with the law is statistically significant at the level 0.01. The key findings of this study is that in the community-based policing, cooperation with the police and compliance with the law are very important determinants in controlling and deterring crimes and the police need to reinforce a cooperative relationship with residents to reduce crimes through strengthening the willingness of compliance with the law.

The ultra-precision products which recently experienced high in demands had included the large areas of most updated technologies, for example, the semiconductor, the computer, the aerospace, the media information, the precision machining. For early 21st century, it was expected that the ultra-precision technologies would be distributed more throughout the market and required securing more nation-wise advancements. Furthermore, there seemed to be increasing in demand of the single crystal diamond tool which was capable of the ultra-precision machining for parts requiring a high degree of complicated details which were more than just simple wrapping and policing. Moreover, the highest degree of precision is currently at 50 nm for some precision parts but not in all. The machining system and technology should be at very high performed level in order to accomplish this degree of the ultra-precision.

ATM과 non-ATM 간의 서비스가 연동도기 위해서는 트래픽 파라메타가 고려되어야 한다. 예를 들면 프레임 기반의 FR 트래픽 제어와 셀 기반의 ATM UPC와는 QoS 측면에서 정확하게 일치하기 어렵다. ATM 과 FR은 서로 다른 전달 모드와 트래픽 파라메타를 가지며, 기본 단위가 프레임과 셀로서 별도의 제어 방법을 갖는다. 또한 동일 사용자 정보를 전송하는데 ATM 측의 대역이 FR보다 훨씬 크다. 이는 ATM 셀 및 AAL5 구성 형태에서 기인하는데 FR/ATM 연동시 트래픽 파라메타를 사상하는데 대역비가 사용된다. 따라서 FR/ATM 연동에서 트래픽 파라메타를 사상하여 망간의 QoS를 유지시키며, 망의 자원을 효율적으로 활용하기 위해서는 적합한 트래픽 대역비를 고려하여야 한다. 본 논문에서는 ATM 망에서 FR과 ATM 간 QoS를 유지하기 위하여 이들 간의 트래픽 파라메타를 사상하는 방법을 소개하고, 도일 사용자 정보를 전달하는데 필요한 FR과 ATM 간의 대역 비를 예측하는 방법을 기술한다. 본 논문에서는 대역비를 예측하는데 필요한 사용자 트래픽의 프레임 길이 분포를 Erlang 또는 지수 함수로 가정하고 수행하였다.

'SMART 치안'이란 범죄통계 등 치안 관련 데이터베이스를 '전략적 관리', '분석과 연구', '과학기술'을 반영하여 수집 분석하고 활용함으로써 한정된 경찰력을 선택과 집중에 따라 운영하는 치안 활동을 의미한다. 최근 여성 1인 가구 증가에 따른 대검찰청의 '범죄분석'을 기준으로 성범죄 건수는 두 배 이상 증가하였다. 이러한 흐름 속에서 지역별 특성에 적합한 '여성안심특별시 3.0'의 성범죄 예방 프로그램을 구축하기 시작했다. 그러나 여성들에게 홍보 및 이용 실적이 저조하고, 실질적 효과성이 나타나기 위한 정책으로는 부족하였다. 앞으로 미래 경찰이 수행해야 할 시스템으로 ICT에 접목하여 자율주행차 또는 드론으로 경호를 하며, 안전하게 귀가를 담당 할 수 있는 범죄예방 시스템을 제안하였다. 이 시스템에 적용하기 위한 좁은 골목, 전깃줄 등 주변 환경이 자율주행자동차 및 드론을 운영하기에 어려운 점이 많으나, 인공지능 기술을 적용시 충분히 극복하여 운영할 수 있으리라 생각된다.
