  • For reliable real-time interaction in a camera-tracked laser pointer system, a new idea is proposed and its feasibility is tested in this paper. In order to improve response time in the system and remove useless visual overload, the function of a laser pointer in the system is divided, the Region of Functional Interest is defined and subsequently its new interactions are introduced. Finally the experiments to measure reliability, accuracy, latency and usability are conducted and the results are presented.

  • Cache sensitive $B^+-trees$ with partial keys is cache sensitive tree using both key compression and pointer compression. Although conventional cache sensitive trees consider individuallykey compression and pointer compression, cache sensitive $B^+-trees$ with partial keys make more cache utilization by compressing both key and pointer. We implement bulkload and search algorithms of cache sensitive $B^+-trees$ with partial key. And out performance studies show that cache sensitive $B^+-trees$ with partial key is better than $B^+-trees$ and Simple Prefix $B^+-trees$.

A Joystick-driven Mouse Controlling Method using Hand Gestures (손 제스쳐를 이용한 조이스틱 방식의 마우스제어 방법)

  • PC users have long been controlling their computers using input devices such as mouse and keyboard. To improve inconveniences of these devices, the method of screen-touching has widely been used these days, and devices recognizing human gestures are being developed one after another. Fox example, Kinect, developed and distributed by Microsoft, is a non-contact input device that recognizes human gestures through motion-recognizing sensors, thus replacing the mouse as an input device. However, when controlling the mouse on a large screen, it suffers from the problem of requiring large motions in order to move the mouse pointer to the edges of the screen. In this paper, we propose a joystick-driven mouse-controlling method which enables the user to move the mouse pointer to the corners of the screen with small motions. The experimental results show that movements of the user's palm within the range of 30 cm ensure movements of the mouse pointer to the edges of the screen.

  • A 5-month-old, intact female pointer weighing 13 kg was referred for diagnosis and treatment of bilateral thoracic limb hyperflexion without trauma. After physical and radiographic examination, carpal laxity syndrome was diagnosed. A modified Robert-Jones bandage was applied and cage rest, including general puppy food, was prescribed for 3 weeks. The patient acquired normal gait with weight bearing, with non-remarkable findings on radiographic examination. The modified Robert-Jones bandage was sufficient to treat carpal laxity syndrome in this case.

  • Eye tracking research for upper limb disabilities is showing an effect in the aspect of device control. However, the reality is that it is not enough to perform web interaction with only eye tracking technology. In the Eye-Voice interface, a previous study, in order to solve the problem that the existing gaze tracking interfaces cause a malfunction of pointer execution, a gaze tracking interface supplemented with a voice command was proposed. In addition, the reduction of the malfunction rate of the pointer was confirmed through a comparison experiment with the existing interface. In this process, the difficulty of pointing due to the small size of the execution object in the web environment was identified as another important problem of malfunction. In this study, we propose an auto-magnification interface of objects so that people with upper extremities can freely click web contents by improving the problem that it was difficult to point and execute due to the high density of execution objects and their arrangements in web pages.

  • 본 논문은 6DOF 위치기반 자기장 센서(Liverty Latus, Pollhemus)를 사용한 가상현실 방송제작에서 사용할 수 있는 인터랙티브 증강현실 시스템, K-Pointer를 제안한다. 우리는 방송에서 추적 및 인식의 정확성을 높이기 위해 Pollemus사의 6DOF 자기장기반 위치 추적 센서 리버티(수신부,소스)와 라투스(송신부,마커), 그리고 4입력 버튼장치를 결합한 인터페이스를 가지고 기존 방송용 증강현실 시스템과 통합하여 새로운 인터랙티브 증강현실 시스템을 개발하였다. 본 시스템은 방송용 증강현실 그래픽 합성 시스템(수신부)과 센서의 위치정보와 버튼 이벤트를 전송하는 시스템(송신부)으로 구성되며, 센서추적정보와 버튼이벤트 정보는 UDP로 실시간으로 수신부로 전송된다. 우리는 사용자 손의 모션과 버튼이벤트로 그래픽 정보를 인터랙티브하게 제어할 수 있게 하였다. 결과적으로 본 시스템은 기존의 합성중심의 방송용 증강현실 시스템을 사용자의 모션 기반 그래픽을 제어할 수 있는 인터랙티브 증강현실시스템으로 그 기능을 확장 시킬 수 있게 한다. 제안된 시스템은 광학식 추적을 하지 않기 때문에 조명의 변화에 영향이 없으며, 라투스 수신기가 작기 때문에 손에 쥐었을 때 거의 보이지 않고 가려도 추적이 강인하여 버튼장치를 통해 사용자가 정확한 이벤트로 직접 그래픽을 그리거나 쉽게 제어할 수 있는 장점이 있다.

  • Memory protection has been researched for decades for program execution protection. ARM recently developed a newhardware security feature to protect memory that was applied to real hardware. However, there are not many hardware withhardware memory protection feature and research has not been actively conducted yet. We perform diagnostics on howandhow it works on real hardware, and on security, with a new hardware memory protection feature, named 'Pointer Authentication Code'. Through this research, it will be possible to find out the direction, use, and security of future hardware security technologies and apply to the program.

Korean Dependency Parsing Using Stack-Pointer Networks and Subtree Information (스택-포인터 네트워크와 부분 트리 정보를 이용한 한국어 의존 구문 분석)

  • In this work, we develop a Korean dependency parser based on a stack-pointer network that consists of a pointer network and an internal stack. The parser has an encoder and decoder and builds a dependency tree for an input sentence in a depth-first manner. The encoder of the parser encodes an input sentence, and the decoder selects a child for the word at the top of the stack at each step. Since the parser has the internal stack where a search path is stored, the parser can utilize information of previously derived subtrees when selecting a child node. Previous studies used only a grandparent and the most recently visited sibling without considering a subtree structure. In this paper, we introduce graph attention networks that can represent a previously derived subtree. Then we modify our parser based on the stack-pointer network to utilize subtree information produced by the graph attention networks. After training the dependency parser using Sejong and Everyone's corpus, we evaluate the parser's performance. Experimental results show that the proposed parser achieves better performance than the previous approaches at sentence-level accuracies when adopting 2-depth graph attention networks.

  • 딥 러닝 모델은 여러 히든 레이어로 구성되며, 히든 레이어의 깊이가 깊어질수록 레이어의 벡터는 높은 수준으로 추상화된다. 본 논문에서는 Encoder RNN의 레이어를 여러 층 쌓은 멀티 레이어 포인터 네트워크를 제안하고, 멀티 태스크 학습 기반인 멀티 레이어 포인터 네트워크를 이용한 한국어 의존 구문 분석 모델을 제안한다. 멀티 태스크 학습 모델은 어절 간의 의존 관계와 의존 레이블 정보를 동시에 구하여 의존 구문 분석을 수행한다. 실험 결과, 본 논문에서 제안한 모델이 기존 한국어 의존 구문 분석 연구들 보다 좋은 UAS 92.16%, LAS 89.88%의 성능을 보였다.

Design of High-speed Pointer Switching Fabric (초고속 포인터 스위칭 패브릭의 설계)

  • The proposed switch which has separated data plane and switching plane can make parallel processing for packet data storing, memory address pointer switching and simultaneously can be capable of switching the variable length for IP packets. The proposed architecture does not require the complicated arbitration algorithms in VOQ, also is designed for QoS of generic output queue switch as well as input queue. At the result of simulations, the proposed architecture has less average packet delay than the one of the memory-sharing based architecture and guarantees keeping a certain average packet delay in increasing switch size.
