The 25 Watt hybrid MIC SSPA has been developed in the frequency rang from 1.6265 GHz to 1.6465 GHz for uplink of INMARST's earth station. To simplify the fabrication process, the whole system is designed of two parts composed of a friving amplifier and a power amplifier. The Motorolas MRF-6401 is used for driving part, the Motorolas MRF-16006 and MRF-16030 is used the power amplifier. We reduced weight and volume of high power amplifier through arranging the bias circuits in the same housing. The realized SSPA has more than 30 dB for gain within 20 MHz bandwidth, and the voltage standing wave ratios(VSWR) of input and output port are less than 1.7, respectively. The output power of 44 dBm is achieved at the 1 dB gain compression point of 106365 GHz These results reveal a high power amplifier of 25 Watt which is the design target. The Proposed SSPA manufacture techniques in this paper can be applied to the implementation of high power amplifiers for some radars and SCPC.

In this paper, we present a new analysis of monolithic laser-waveguide coupling structure employing the beam propagation method. Monolithic laser-waveguide coupler has both passive and active components It has too many parameters to consider for an analysis. So we present proper model of coupler by use of directional coupler. We employ the beam propagation method th analyze the proposed structure, we could employ the coupled mode theory but we thought in the case of this paper the beam propagation method is more appropriate than coupler mode theorybecause a number of variables which to consider is too many for the coupled mode theory. Also we use finite difference method to calcurate trial field which is a starting point of beam propagation analysis. Through this approach, we can consider more parameters. And we propose a new structure of monolothic laser-waveguide coupler which has taper structure between the distance in which coupling is taking place and passive waveguide. We can obtain 79% high coupling efficiency from our structure.
Researchers have investigated many upper bound techniques applicable to error probabilities on the maximum likelihood (ML) decoding performance of turbo-like codes and low density parity check (LDPC) codes in recent years for a long codeword block size. This is because it is trivial for a short codeword block size. Previous research efforts, such as the simple bound technique [20] recently proposed, developed upper bounds for LDPC codes and turbo-like codes using ensemble codes or the uniformly interleaved assumption. This assumption bounds the performance averaged over all ensemble codes or all interleavers. Another previous research effort [21] obtained the upper bound of turbo-like code with a particular interleaver using a truncated union bound which requires information of the minimum Hamming distance and the number of codewords with the minimum Hamming distance. However, it gives the reliable bound only in the region of the error floor where the minimum Hamming distance is dominant, i.e., in the region of high signal-to-noise ratios. Therefore, currently an upper bound on ML decoding performance for turbo-like code with a particular interleaver and LDPC code with a particular parity check matrix cannot be calculated because of heavy complexity so that only average bounds for ensemble codes can be obtained using a uniform interleaver assumption. In this paper, we propose a new bound technique on ML decoding performance for turbo-like code with a particular interleaver and LDPC code with a particular parity check matrix using ML estimated weight distributions and we also show that the practical iterative decoding performance is approximately suboptimal in ML sense because the simulation performance of iterative decoding is worse than the proposed upper bound and no wonder, even worse than ML decoding performance. In order to show this point, we compare the simulation results with the proposed upper bound and previous bounds. The proposed bound technique is based on the simple bound with an approximate weight distribution including several exact smallest distance terms, not with the ensemble distribution or the uniform interleaver assumption. This technique also shows a tighter upper bound than any other previous bound techniques for turbo-like code with a particular interleaver and LDPC code with a particular parity check matrix.

In this paper, the effect of Near-Far Problem (NFP) among distributed nodes in OFDMA-based Wireless Mesh Networks (WMNs) is analyzed by investigating statistical characteristics of Time Difference of Arrival (TDoA) and Desired-to-Undesired power Ratio (DUR). In order to overcome the effects of Inter-Symbol Interference (ISI), Inter-Carrier Interference (ICI), and Inter Link Interference (ILI), caused by TDoA in WMNs, we derive effective SINR for each subcarrier, and then, propose the optimal starting point of FFT window which can minimize BER for each subcarrier. In addition, we propose a subcarrier-based Zero Forcing - 2 Dimensional Ordered Successive Interference Cancellation (ZF-2DOSIC) technique for signal detection in WMNs with TDoA. It is verified by simulation that the effective SINR and uncoded BER performances of the proposed signal detection technique for OFDMA-based WMNs are significantly improved, compared with those of conventional technique.

The real-time data dissemination schemes exploit the spatiotemporal commuication approach which forwards data at the delivery speed calculated with the desired time deadline and the end-to-end distance in wireless sensor networks (WSNs). In practical environments, however, the performance of the real-time data dissemination might be degraded by additional and inevitable delay due to some holes. Namely, the holes lengthen the data delivery path and the spatiotemporal approach could not estimate a distance of the data delivery path. To deal with this, we propose A Hole Self-Organization Real-time Routing Protocol for Irregular Wireless Sensor Networks. In proposed protocol, nodes around holes could detect them at deploying phase. A hole is represented as a circle with center point and radius. This hole information is processed and provided as a form of location service. When a source queries a destination location, location provider replies certain points for avoiding holes as well as destination location. Thus, the source could set desired speed toward the destination via the points. Performance evaluation shows that provides better real-time service in practical environments.
Approximation' is one of central conceptions in calculus. A basic conception for explaining 'approximation' is 'tangent', and 'tangent' is a 'line' with special condition. In this study, we will study pedagogically these mathematical knowledge on the ground of a viewpoint on the teaching of secondary geometry, and in connection with these we will suggest the teaching program and the chief end for the probable teaching. For this, we will examine point, line, circle, straight line, tangent line, approximation, and drive meaningfully mathematical knowledge for algebraic operation through the process translating from the above into analytic geometry. And we will construct the stream line of mathematical knowledge for approximation from a view of modern mathematics. This study help mathematics teachers to promote the pedagogical content knowledge, and to provide the basis for development of teaching model guiding the mathematical knowledge. Moreover, this study help students to recognize that mathematics is a systematic discipline and school mathematics are activities constructed under a fixed purpose.

Six sigma is the rating that signifies "best in clas", with only 3.4 defects per million units or operations. Higher sigma quality level is generally perceived by customers as improved performance by assigning a correspondingly higher satisfaction score. The process capability indices and the sigma level $Z_{st}$ have been widely used in six sigma industries to assess process performance. Most evaluations on process capability indices focus on point estimates, which may result in unreliable assessments of process performance. In this paper, we consider statistical inference for process capability indices $C_p$, $C_{pk}$ and $C_{pm}$. Also, we study better testing procedure on assessing sigma level $Z_{st}$ and capability index $C_{pm}$, for practitioners to use in determining whether a given process is capable. The proposed method is easy to use and the decision making is more reliable. Whether a process is clearly normal or nonnormal, our bootstrap testing procedure could be applied effectively without the complexity of calculation. A numerical result based on our proposed method is illustrated.

In this paper, SPDT Tx/Rx MMIC switch applicable to IEEE 802.11a WLAN systems is designed and fabricated using a specific designed epitaxial layered pHEMT wafer and ETRI's $0.5{\mu}m$ pHEMT switch process. The SPDT switch exhibits a low insertion loss of 0.68dB, high isolation of 35.64dB, return loss of 13.4dB, power transfer capability of 25dBm, and 3rd order intercept point of 42dBm at frequency of 5.8GHz and control voltage of 0/-3V. The comparison of the measured performances with commercial products based on the GaAs pHEMT technology for low voltage operating at ${\pm}$ 3V/0V shows that the return loss is somewhat inferior to the commercial products and insertion loss is compatible with each other however, isolation characteristics are much better than in conventional chips. Based on these performances, we can conclude that the developed SPDT switch MMIC has an enough potential for IEEE802.11a standard 5 GHz-band wireless LAN applications.
In this paper, we analyzed the freshmen's achievements on general mathematics their GPA based on 'basic mathematics diagonal test score' among college entrance types in natural science or engineering. Also, we studied the achievements of students who were not passed the 'Basic Mathematics Diagonal Test (BMDT)' and had to take supplementary lessons to improve their mathematics abilities four times a week during the first semester of academic year 2012 in Mokpo National University. We found the followings; first, freshmen were accepted by the university through the regular admission have a higher level of academic achievement compared other type admission. Second, freshmen's academic achievement in the first semester has significant meaningful effect on their academic achievement in the second semester. Finally, there are correlations between achievements of general mathematics and a curriculum of freshmen who were passed test after taking supplementary lessons.
This article examines the legislation process of internet contents regulation through three phases from a policy network point of view. In the first phase, heated debates were initiated during the public hearings after the Ministry of Information & Communications announced its plan to introduce the internet contents grading system During the second phase, bills were submitted to the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, where the bills were deliberated, passed, and promulgated. In the third phase, issues on enforcement ordinance were resolved as the degree of conflict was mitigated. Policy network during the first phase started in a conflicting and distributed form, but has evolved into a conflicting and centralized form. The appropriate closure of the debate on the internet contents regulation can be explained by the structure of governmental departments, the character of new technology, and the mobilization of general public.
