Fuzzy rule을 이용한 공압 서보 제어 알고리즘의 개발 (Development of pneumatic servo control algorithm using fuzzy rule)

  • Pneumatic control system has been used mainly for endpoint position control because of the compressibility, viscosity and low output stiffness of air which causes nonlinear flow characteristics. In this paper, pneumatic position control algorithms using fuzzy rule were developed to achieve faster and more stable response than conventional PI control algorithm. The performances of the proposed algorithms were compared by computer simulations with them of PI controller. From those simulations it was shown that the proposed algorithms are more efficient about settling time, steady state error and overshoot than PI control algorithm.

  • An experimental and theoretical study on a pneumatic servo system has been conducted using on-off valves and a pneumatic cylinder. A V/I converter has been designed for rapid rising and falling of the solenoid current, which significantly improves the positioning accuracy and settling time of the servo system by shortening the valve opening time. Pulse width modulation was modified to operate on-off valves effectively. A state feedback controller which feeds back position, velocity and acceleration is used to control the system. The influence of controller gains on the system performance is studied to develop a scheme that automatically adjusts the gains using fuzzy logic theory. It is shown experimentally that the proposed fuzzy logic tuner works satisfactorily. A new method for measurements of valve effective areas is proposed, and a partially polytropic model is applied to simulation of the pneumatic system. Simulated results show good agreement with experimental data.

  • For pneumatic system control, we need a data transmission system with high speed and reliability for information interchange between main computer and I/O devices. This paper presents a set of design techniques for a data communication system that is mainly used for pneumatic system control. For this purpose, we first designed hardware modules for an interface between central control module and local node that handles the operation of solenoid valves. In addition, we developed a communication protocol for construction of RS-485 based multi-drop network, and this protocol is basically designed with a kind of polling technique.   • In industry pneumatic control system has become a important means to obtain automation because of its simplicity, fast speed and low cost. However Due to of the compressibility of air and damping friction between moving parts, it is difficult to achieve high speed driving, accurate positioning and stopping without overshoot in one pneumatic control system. This paper describes the dynamic behaviors of pneumatic linear actuator. The results will be very useful in the prediction of actuated dynamics and for the manufacturers to improve the techniques in their redesign and get better performance. Also, the experimental data is very important for the dynamic simulation and theoretical analysis.

  • The development of an accurate and energy saving electro-pneumatic regulator that may be applied to a variety of practical pressure control applications is described in this paper. A novel modified pulse width modulation (MPWM) valve pulsing algorithm allows the electro-pneumatic regulator to become energy saving system. A comparison between the system response of conventional PWM algorithm and that of the modified PWM (MPWM) algorithm shows that the control performance is almost the same, but energy saving is greatly improved by adopting this new MPWM algorithm. The effectiveness of the proposed control algorithm is demonstrated through experiments with various reference trajectories.

Based on the sirnulation of the proposed PCY, thc experimental system was fabricaied su as to illustrate the efficient pcrformance of the proposed PCV with anti-leakage. Such good perfo~manccs of PCV in the air-hoist system are shown by the simulation. In addition, the simulation bascd design approach presented in this paper can be applied to any hydraulic or pneumatic-hydraulic system.

  • This paper proposes a new type of piezoactuator-driven valve system. The piezoceramic actuator bonded to both sides of a flexible beam surface makes a movement required to control the pressure at the flapper-nozzle of a pneumatic system. After establishing a dynamic model, an appropriate size of the valve system is designed and manufactured. Subsequently, a sliding mode controller which is known to be robust to uncertainties such as disturbance is formulated in order to achieve accurate regulating and tracking control of the desired pressure. The controller is experimentally realized and control performances for various pressure trajectories are presented in time domain. The control bandwidth of the valve system which directly represents the fastness is also evaluated in the frequency domain.

IDC장치에 대한 공압시스템의 모델링에 관한 연구 (A Study on Modeling of Pneumatic System for an IDC Device)

  • An intelligent deburring control (IDC) device is used to control the constant force for a deburring tool mounted on the end-effector of a robotic arm. This device maintains a constant contact force between the deburring tool and the workpiece in order to provide a good deburring performance. In this paper, we build a mathematical model in Matlab/Simulink to estimate the force control mechanism of the pneumatic system for the IDC device. The Simulink blocks are built for each separate part and are linked into an integrated simulation system. Such a model also relies on the effects of the flow rate through the valve, air compressibility in the cylinder, and time delay in the pressure valve. The results of the simulation are compared to a simple experiment in which convenient math modeling is performed. These results are then used to optimize the mechanical design and to develop a force control algorithm for the pneumatic cylinder.
