누적 해저드지의 모수추정에 관한 연구 - 컴퓨터 프로그래밍 및 신뢰성공학에의 응용 - (A Study on the Parameter Estimation of the Cumulative Hazard Paper)

  • This paper studies the estimation of hazard parameters, which have a close relation with product reliability characteristics in reliability test. Among the many kinds of estimation methods, hazard Probability Paper(HPP) is commonly used. The HPP is very convenient, but it has a great disadvantage in estimation W by plotting method It is very difficult to get the same results even if one use the same data several times. A computer program for the regression method is used for the parameter estimation to reduce these errors. Especially, the computer graphic program was written in GW-BASIC 3.22 language and a couple of running examples for user's reference appears in the appendix part.

HNIW결정중의 $\varepsilon$형 함량 측정방법에 관한 연구

  • 1980년대 후반 미국 China Lake의 Naval Weapon Center에서 개발된 hexanitrohexa-azaisowurzitane(HNIW;CL-20)은 nitro group의 배향에 따라 $\alpha$, $\beta$,$\gamma$,$\varepsilon$형으로 불리우는 네 가지의 분리가능 한 polymorph가 존재하는 것으로 알려져 있다. 이중에서 $\varepsilon$형은 다른 polymorph보다 더 안정한 상으로서 고체추진제의 산화제로 사용하기에 적당한 구형에 가까운 결정모양을 가지고 있으며 밀도가 가장 크다. 제조된 HNIW 결정 중에는 소량의 $\beta$형을 함유할 수 있으므로 이의 함량을 측정하는 일은 매우 중요한 것이라 할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 FT-IR을 이용하여 $\beta$형과 $\varepsilon$형을 가장 명확하게 구분할 수 있는 영역을 선택하고 $\varepsilon$함량에 따라 변화하는 흡광도를 plotting하여 검정곡선을 작성한 후 상호 관계를 수식으로 나타내어 HNIW 결정중의 $\varepsilon$형 함량을 결정할 수 있는 방법을 개발하였다.

  • We propose an object extraction technique adequate for the radial shape's radar signal structure for the purpose of implementing ARPA(Automatic Radar Plotting Aid) installed in the vessel. The radar signal data are processed by interpolation and accumulation to acquire a qualified image. The objects of the radar image have characteristics of having different shape and size as it gets far from the center, and it is not adequate for clustering generally. Therefore, this study designs a new vigilance distance model of elliptical shape and adopts this model in the ART2 neural network. We prove that the proposed clustering method makes it possible to extract objects adaptively and to separate the connected objects effectively.

고밀도 PLA의 자동 Layout System의 구성 (Automatic Layout of High Density PLA)

  • 고밀도 PLA(Programmable Logic Array) layout의 생성, 간소화 및 검증을 자동화한 일련의 유용프로그램을 개발하였다. 이에는 논리 함수로부터 진리표를 만들어 내는 프로그램. 논리 간소화 프로그램 PLA재배열 프로그랭. stick diagram을 그릴 구 있는 화일을 만들어 내는 프로그램, dynamic CMOS PLA의 layout 생성 프로그램, 그리고 bipartite row folded CMOS PLA layout 생성 프로그램이 포함된다. 크기의 최소화는 주로 논리 간소화 프로그램과 bipartlte row folding 프로그램에 의해수행되며, 최대지연시간은 재배열 프로그램에 의해 작아진다. 자동으로 생성된 layout에 대한 정보는 CIF(Caltach Int-ermidate Form)로 저장된다. 각 프로그램은 C언어로 작성되었으며, VAX-l1/750 (UNIX)에서 수행되었다.

  • This paper deals with the CMOS PLA Generator using CHISEL language. The program which plots a CMOS PLA alphanumeric layout automatically according to desired input functions and output functions has been developed. The program consists of procedures. These procedure are drawing a stick diagram with input data, converting any design rule, plotting a physical layout at IBM PC-AT with CIF input data. Physical layout information of dynamic CMOS PLA is stored CIF form. The CMOS PLA Generator is written in CHISEL which is layout language VLSI design tools and run on a VAX11/750 running UNIX.

Evaluation of spatial pressure distribution during ice-structure interaction using pressure indicating film

  • Understanding of 'spatial' pressure distribution is required to determine design loads on local structures, such as plating and framing. However, obtaining a practical 'spatial' pressure distribution is a hard task due to the sensitivity of the data acquisition frequency and resolution. High-resolution Pessure-Idicating Flm (PIF) was applied to obtain pressure distribution and pressure magnitude using stepped crushing method. Different types of PIF were stacked at each test to creating a pressure distribution plot at specific time steps. Two different concepts of plotting 'spatial' pressure-area curve was introduced and evaluated. Diverse unit pixel size was chosen to investigate the effect of the resolution in data analysis. Activated area was not significantly affected by unit pixel size; however, total force was highly sensitive.

  • In this study we present the inverse correlation method to select the exploratory variables, while Sugeno used RC method in his paper[6] We assume linear model with measurement error variables as in Fuller's Book[9]. we provide possibilistic linear model and predict the fuzzy response variable in case of fuzzy exploratory variables. By plotting data we can divide them for piecewise plane and provide the piecwise possibilistic linear model. If the exploratory variable is fuzzy trapezoidal variable or interval variable, then we estimate fuzzy trapezoidal variable or interval variable, then we estimate fuzzy trapezoidal response variable respondent to it. We will illustrate using Nonlinear System data in Sugeno's paper

양력선 이론을 이용한 EDISON CFD 해석자의 검증

  • Prandtl's Lifting-line theory is the classical theory of calculating aerodynamic properties. Though it is classical method, it predicts the aerodynamic properties well. By lifting-line theory, high aspect ratio is critical factor to decrease induced drag. And 'elliptic-similar' wing also makes the minimum induced drag. But due to the problem of manufacturing, tapered wing is preferred and have been utilized. In this Paper, by using Edison CFD, verifying the classical lifting-line theory. To consider induced drag only, using Euler equation as governing equation instead of full Navier-Stokes equation. Refer to the theory, optimum taper ratio which makes the minimum induced drag is 0.3. Utilizing the CFD results, plotting oswald factor over various taper ratio and investigating whether the consequences are valid or not. As a result, solving Euler equation by EDISON CFD cannot guarantee the theoretical values because it is hard to set the proper grid to solve. Results are divided into two cases. One is the values are decreased gradually and another seems to following tendency, but values are all negative number.

實測船位의 精度改善에 관한 硏究 (II) -天測位置의 改善- (A Study on the Improvement of Accuracy of the Fixed Position(II))

  • The tedious work, connected to the traditional computation of altitudes and azimuths and the plotting of the position lines, has been a severe objection to celestial fixes. But recently computers have become to be used generally for computations of altitudes and aximuths and the computing objection seems to be practically overruled. Now it seems appropriate to concentrate on other problems which are the procedure of improving accuracy of ship's position and the design of a general computing procedure to determine the coordinates of the optimally estimated ship's position. In this paper, such procedures as an application of Kalman filter and the results of the Digital simulation conducted under various noise conditiions are presented. The positions estimated by Kalman filter are compared with the running fixes and the most probable positions obtained from a single position line, and it is confirmed that the resutls of the proposed method is evidently accurate than others.

  • Persistence homology (a type of methodology in computational algebraic topology) can be used to capture the topological characteristics of functional data. To visualize the characteristics, a persistence diagram is adopted by plotting baseline and the pairs that consist of local minimum and local maximum. We use the bottleneck distance to measure the topological distance between two different functions; in addition, this distance can be applied to multidimensional scaling(MDS) that visualizes the imaginary position based on the distance between functions. In this study, we use handwriting data (which has functional forms) to get persistence diagram and check differences between the observations by using bottleneck distance and the MDS.
